EUNICE S. BUSHEY
MILTON -- Eunice S. Bushey, 87, died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Eunice was born in Derby Line, Vt. on April 28, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Marceline (Mero) Shackett.
On July 12, 1934, she married Kermit Bushey who predeceased her on July 16, 1996.
She will be long remembered for her fierce dedication to her family and her selfless efforts to care for them in times of need. Her love and devotion was felt by all her family.
She was a loving mother to her children who survive her, daughter Betty Thompson and her husband Allen of Milton, her two sons, James Bushey and his wife Carol of Bridport, Vt., and Michael Bushey, M.D. and his wife JoAnne of Smithfield, Maine. She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jocelyn Bushey, Jennifer Bushey Armstrong and Whitney Bushey, Perry Thompson, Kathy and husband Donald Germain, Kelly and husband Terry Lambert, and David Thompson. She greatly enjoyed her great-grandchildren Joshua, Talia and Jesse Germain, Michaela and Deanna Lambert. She is also survived by a dear niece, Madeline Baker of Tariffville, Conn.; by her brother Raymond Shackett of Winooski; a sister Mildred Powers of Bristol, Conn.; and by several nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her dedicated caregivers, Deborah Timmerman and Faustina Osei.
There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

ELIZABETH "BETTY" C. (MARTIN) ALBRIGHT
JEFFERSONVILLE -- Elizabeth "Betty" Catherine (Martin) Albright, 79, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2004, in Genesis Eldercare in Morrisville. She was born in Altamonte, N.Y. on Nov. 6, 1924, daughter of the late Christopher and Jennifer (Gaige) Martin.
Betty married Earl Albright who predeceased her in March, 1977. She was a devoted wife and helpmate to her husband Earl as bookkeeper for the Jeffersonville Garage for many years. She was also a dedicated postal clerk for the Jeffersonville Post Office. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her sons, Earl Albright, Jr. of Burlington, David Albright and his wife Sandra of Jeffersonville, and James Albright and his wife Cecile of Eden; eight grandchildren, Meghan, Hugh, Jennifer, Tara, Jamie, Michael, Katie, and Emile; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dear and special friend, Dorothy Martin of New York.
She was also predeceased by her brother Robert Martin; and her daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Albright.
Visiting hours will be held in the Hayes-Rich Funeral Home on Sunday, March 14, 2004, from 6 to 7 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the family lot in South Cambridge Cemetery in the spring at the convenience of the family.

WARREN JACKSON CLEMENT, SR.
ROCHESTER, N.H. / FAIRFIELD, Vt. -- Warren Jackson Clement, Sr., 72 of Lilac City East, and Fairfield, Vt., formerly of Hollis, N.H. and Williamstown, Mass., died on Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Mr. Clement was born in Dallas, Texas on Feb. 8, 1932, the son of Warren B. and Rosita (Jackson) Clement and had been living in Rochester for the past year, moving from Hollis, N.H.
Mr. Clement was an employee of the Sprague Electric Co. until he retired in 1991. He then taught at New Hampshire Technical College in Nashua, N.H. from 1992 until 2000.
Surviving members of the family include: his wife, Millicent (Swisler) Clement of Rochester, N.H.; his son, Warren Jackson Clement Jr. of Hollis, N.H.; three daughters, Catherine Redding of Media, Pa., Becky Christe of Freeport, Maine, and Amy Clement of Strafford, N.H.; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Fairfield, Vt. The H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral and Cremation Services, 177 North Main St., Rochester, N.H. are assisting with the arrangements.

NORMAN HARTLEY KIMBALL
SHELDON CREEK -- Norman Hartley Kimball died Monday, March 8, 2004, at his home in Sheldon Creek. He was born in Enosburg Falls, April 23, 1923, one of twin sons of Howard F. and Mildred (Croft) Kimball.
Norman is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret (Crowe) Kimball; his four daughters and their spouses and partners, Carolyn and Philip Bronz, Diane and Tom Repstad, Norma Kimball and John Thoren, Melinda Kimball and Cory Woolsey. He leaves his grandchildren and their spouses, Arica and Sam Bronz Russo, Caleb Bronz, Sarah Alice and Brad Biggie, Ellen Repstad and Rachel Repstad; his great-grandchildren, Arrien Kimball Gadue and Eva Rae Gadue, Silas Kimball Biggie and Linden Rose Bronz-Russo; his brother, Robert Kimball and sister-in-law, Joan Kimball; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved son, Thomas Kimball in 1988; his twin brother, Richard Kimball in 2002; and Margaret Hanson in 1998.
Norman worked at the mill in Sheldon Springs for 45 years.
Norman's greatest joys in life were his family, his faith, and his garden. He was a servant of his God, family, church and community. He was a Sheldon Methodist Church Trustee and a Sheldon Library Trustee. He sang in the choir throughout his long membership in the church. He was a Lister in Sheldon for many years. He was a Mason, member of Lincoln Lodge 78, F. & A.M. With his wife, Margaret, he did prison and nursing home ministry, and supported the Sheldon Methodist Food Shelf. Norman loved children, music, arts and literature. He was an artist who created some beautiful paintings of outdoor Vermont scenes. In later years he turned to the art of letter-press printing; he and Margaret established and ran Black Creek Printing Press out of their upstairs printing room.
Norman gardened every year of his life. He baked bread, beans and made soup for his family, the town, and for all the hungry wanderers who found comfort in their warm home. He was socially progressive and self-educated, filling his house with books and always reading. He had a dry sense of humor, and he was a prolific and profound letter-writer. His spiritual life was vital to him and he always tried to apply Jesus's teachings to his own.
A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13 at the Sheldon Methodist Church. There will be no visiting hours but the family invites people to come to a reception following the service at his home.

DONNA L. DAVIES
MEDINA, Ohio / ST. ALBANS, Vt. -- Donna L.(Turnbull) Davies, 66, of Medina, Ohio, died Sunday, March 7, 2004.
She was born Jan. 18, 1938, in St. Albans. Ms. Davies was a homemaker.
Ms. Davies was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to her daughters, Wendy Schirripa and her husband Dennis of Medina, Ohio and Heather Coupal and her husband Alan of St. Albans, sons Todd Davies and his wife Neica of Medina, Ohio and Kyle Davies and his wife Kandi of Creston, Ohio; grandchildren, Justen and Colin Davies, Ciara Coupal and Annamarie and Olivia Davies, sisters Laurice Skelton of Pa., Rhea Berthiaume of Mass., Barbara Lumbra and Cheryl Belrose of Vt. and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Ethel Turnbull.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 15, 2004 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements are by the Waite Funeral Home of Medina, Ohio and locally by Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
GERALDINE I. "GERRY" ROCHELEAU
ST. ALBANS -- Geraldine I. "Gerry" Rocheleau, 76, a lifelong resident of this area passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 8, 2004, with her loving family at her side. She was born in St. Albans, Dec. 1, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph "Sparky" and Mary (Dixon) Wersebe. Gerry married Alfred "Fred " Rocheleau on January 30, 1947, and they lived the majority of their married life at St. Albans Bay. Fred predeceased her on Jan. 25, 1997.
For many years she attended the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and was more recently a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. Gerry was a member of the Robert E. Glidden Post 758 Auxiliary.
She enjoyed her family and loved spending her time with them. She was a wonderful mom, grandmother, wife, and friend. She was kind, gentle and compassionate.
Gerry is survived by her son, Lawrence "Larry" Rocheleau and his wife, Pam of St. Albans Bay; their children Chad Rocheleau, Shawn Rocheleau and his companion, Kristy Paradis and Erica Rocheleau and her companion, Jesse Jarvis and Gerry's great-grandchildren, Brandon, Chelsea and Myah Paradis; her daughter, Jan Rousse and her husband, Albert "Bud" of Castleton and their daughter Jennifer Rousse Glinski and her husband, Steve, and Gerry's great-granddaughter, Madeline Glinski; two sisters, Barbara Smith and her husband, Tom of Sun City, Fla. and Monica Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a special friend, Estelle Shepard of Bangor, Maine. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Wersebe who died during World War II.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 15, at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Reverend Maurice J. Roy celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. There will be no visitation.

GORDON A. KARKO
WINOOSKI / MILTON -- Gordon A. Karko, 72, died peacefully at his home on Monday, March 8, 2004. Gordie was born on July 16, 1931, in Norwalk, Conn., the son of John and Julia (Pliska) Karko.
He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Era.
Gordon married Delma Devino on Dec. 20, 1952, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Norwalk, Conn. In 1966, they returned to Vermont, settling in Milton, where they raised their family. Gordon retired in 1993 from Queen City Printers, Inc., following over 25 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Anne Karko of Winooski; his son Arthur Karko of Florida; his daughter-in-law Mary Karko and his granddaughter Mary Frances Karko both of Winooski; by his sister Ann Ferris of Stratford, Conn.; his sister-in-law Helen Kurtzman of Norwalk, Conn.; his sister and brother-in-laws Shirley Densmore of St. Albans, Iola and James Winegar of Milton, Lorraine and Jean Paul Bedard of St. Albans, Corinne and Lonnie Butler of North Carolina and Joan Jenkins of Milton; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Delma in 1994; two children in infancy; his brothers and sisters Steven, Andrew and John Kurtzman Sr., Julie Arnold and Pearl Hunter; and brother-in-laws Winfred Devino and Percy Densmore.
A special thanks is given to Doctors Wood, Eneman and Krag and the nursing staff at Hematology/Oncology at FAHC and to the Staff from the VNA Hospice of the Champlain Valley.

ANTONIO A. LOISELLE
SHELDON -- Mr. Antonio A. Loiselle, age 74, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at the Northwestern Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 13, 1929 in Montreal, Quebec, son of the late Adrien and Emelda (Rainville) Loiselle. Nov. 5, 1949, he married Barbara Oliver. He worked for Wirthmore Feeds and for most of his life as a farmer on the Ballard Acres Farm in Georgia. He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1090 here in St. Albans.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Barbara; his children, Gloria Benoure and her husband Thomas of St. Albans, Frances Ballard and her husband Torrey of Georgia, Linda Rooney and her husband Bob of Fairfax, Roland Loiselle and his friend Virginia Gaudette of Enosburg, Bonnie Bourbeau and her husband Paul of St. Albans, Susan Loiselle and her friend Gary Root of Sheldon, Tammy Stanford and her husband Michael of Berkshire; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Leo Loiselle, John Loiselle, and Dennis Loiselle of Enosburg, and Paul Loiselle of Connecticut; his sister, Pat Wimble and her husband Ken of Georgia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Raymond Loiselle in 1992.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 11, 2004, at 11 a.m. in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be later in the spring in the Loiselle family lot in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Sheldon.

GERALD R. LAVERY
EAST BERKSHIRE -- Gerald R. Lavery, age 88, died Saturday evening, March 6, 2004, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans following a long illness.
He was born in Richford, Nov. 18, 1916, the son of the late Herman and Belle (Goodhue) Lavery. Gerald was educated in Richford schools and was then employed by Standard Oil in West Lebanon, N.H. for two years. He was also employed by United Farmers and Yankee Milk from 1940 until he retired in 1983. He was a deputy Sheriff and deputy game warden for many years and was active in town and county government. He was a past member and chairman of the East Berkshire School Board, Water Board, Board of Civil Authority. Gerald was a member of the East Berkshire and Franklin County Democratic Party and was honored by the State Democratic Party in 1995. He was pleased to pass on his love of the outdoors to his grandsons which included trapping, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maron (Bruso) Lavery; two daughters, Judy Smith and her husband James of St. Albans, and Jane Brigham and her husband Jerry of Bakersfield; eight grandchildren, Christopher Smith and his wife Heather, Michael, Jennifer and Stephen Smith, and Sarah Bapp and her husband Chris, all of St. Albans, Jessica Brigham of Plymoth, N.H., Jason Brigham and his wife Diane of Whitefield, N.H., and Jonathan Brigham of Bakersfield; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Zachary Smith and Emma Bapp, all of St. Albans; two sisters-in-law, Lou Lavery and Barbara Lagrow; and several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd, Cedric and Roy Lavery.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 at All Saints Catholic Church in Richford with Reverend Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be later this spring in All Saints Cemetery in Richford.
Friends may call at the Spears Funeral Home on Dickinson Avenue in Enosburg today, Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
