AGNES MARIE PARENT
ENOSBURG FALLS -- Agnes Marie parent, age 93, died Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Haven Health Center in St. Albans. She was born April 14, 1910, in St. Paul L'Ermite, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of the late Ovila and Elizabeth (Longpre) Leveille.
She was a resident of Enosburg Falls and Malone, N.Y. most of her life and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Malone, N.Y., and a former member of the Tyler Branch Grange in Enosburg Falls.
She is survived by four sons, Raymond Parent and his wife, Charlotte, Roger Parent and his wife Helen, all of Enosburg Falls, John Mark Parent of Malone, N.Y., and Armand Parent of Barre; two daughters, Jeannine Buehler of Pawling, N.Y., and Madeleine Davis and her husband Paul of Malone, N.Y.; one step-son, Yvon Parent and his wife Laurette of Torrington, Conn.; one step-daughter, Georgette Theriault and her husband Raymond of Cowansville, Quebec; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; several step grand and great-grandchildren; one sister, Rosalie Leveille of Montreal, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Omer Parent; a son, Joseph Dennis Parent; one step-son, O'Baldor Parent; a step-daughter, Yvette Chauvin; a daughter-in-law, Mable F. Parent; four brothers, Moises, Charles, Prime and Joseph; and two sisters, Olive and Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 23, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Reverend Benedict Kiely celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at a later date in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

CLIFTON RALPH TITUS
ESSEX JCT. / WATERVILLE -- Clifton R. Titus, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, June 16, 2003. He was born Jan. 27, 1912 in Belmont, N.Y., son of the late Ralph and Flossie (Gibbs) Titus
Clifton married Florence Percy on June 30, 1932 in Chateaugay, N.Y. He was a quiet, gentle man who loved to work outdoors on people's lawns and in his garden. He was a hard worker but he always had time for his family. Clifton also loved his church, the Church of the Nazarene in Williston, where he was a member for about 40 years.
He was also their custodian for many years. He enjoyed going to campmeeting each summer both at Burke Holiness Camp in New York State and at Ithiel Falls Campmeeting in Johnson. Clifton will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Florence Titus of Genesis Eldercare in Morrisville; three daughters, Norma Ploof and her husband, Raymond of Williston, Shirley Finster and David Purdy of Norfolk, Va., and Susan Davis and her husband, Steven, of Waterville; his foster daughter, Sandra of Texas; two brothers, Ell Titus and his wife, Velma, of Watertown, N.Y, and Stanley Titus and his wife, Anita, of Williston; three sisters, Aletha Koloniar and her husband, Andrew, of Stowe, Alma Percy of Williston, and Joyce Sumner and her husband, Edwin, of Chateaugay, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Floyd Titus, and Donald Titus.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 19, 2003, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Waterville Church of the Nazarene.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Waterville Church of the Nazarene with the Reverend Harold Brimmer officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Waterville.

MICHAEL W. JOHNSON
BRADFORD -- Michael W. Johnson, 39, of Goshen Road in Bradford, a 16 year veteran of the Vermont State Police, died Sunday, June 15, in the line of duty.
He was born Dec. 11, 1963, in Newark, N.J. the son of Walter and Marilyn (Griffith) Johnson. In 1970, the family moved from New Jersey to Ascutney, where he received his early schooling. As a sophomore in high school, Mr. Johnson attended Oxbow High School in Bradford before graduating from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans.
Mr. Johnson attended Norwich University, graduating in 1986 from the University of Scranton, in Scranton, Penn. with a degree in Criminal Justice. During summer vacations of his college years, he served as a Vermont auxiliary state policeman patrolling Lake Champlain. In 1986 he was hired as a Vermont State Police trooper and assigned to the Colchester barracks. He later served in the Lamoille and Killington outposts until 1997, when he earned the rank of sergeant and was assigned to the Bradford Barracks.
An avid basketball player and sports enthusiast, Mr. Johnson was a 1, 000 Point Scorer in boy's varsity basketball at Bellows Free Academy, and the University of Scranton. He was a Senior Basketball AllStar at the 1982 Alhambra Game between Vermont and New Hampshire, earning Most Valuable Player of the Vermont team. For several years, his team "Dawg Meat" was a regular participant in the Karp Klassic Basketball Tournament in Lebanon, N.H.
He was former boy's basketball coach at Mount Mansfield High School, and Whitcomb High School where his team won the state championship in 1997. Active in the Bradford Youth Sports Program, he also coached the Oxbow boy's seventh grade basketball team, the third and fourth grade girl's basketball team, and local soccer and ski teams. He regularly visited Bradford Elementary School and other local schools to provide demonstrations to faculty and children.
The "Mayor of Bradford" as he was affectionately known, Mr. Johnson loved serving the youth in local communities. He never missed an opportunity to interact with young people, and only days ago had been selected by Oxbow High School to serve as boy's varsity basketball coach for the coming season. He was a regular performer at dances, weddings and anniversary parties with his disc jockey business, "Magic Mike DJ."
Survivors include his wife, Kerrie (Driscoll) Johnson, whom he married July 27, 1991, in Jericho; a daughter, Reilly Johnson and two sons, Grady and McKendrick Johnson, all of Bradford; his parents of St. Albans; two sisters, Patricia Smith of Weybridge and Linda Lewis of St. Albans; three brothers, Glenn of St. Albans, Matthew of Burlington, and Daniel of Pennsylvania; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, at noon at the Oxbow High School Gymnasium in Bradford, with Reverend Harvey Bartlett officiating. A private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hale Funeral Home in Bradford.

GEORGETTE ROLANDE PRAIRIE
BURLINGTON/ALBURG -- Georgette Rolande Prairie, (Our Aunt Georgette), 99, a native of Alburg and a resident of 25 Adams Street in Burlington for more than fifty years went to be with her Heavenly Father and her Earthly Father on Fathers Day afternoon, June 15, 2003, in the Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Burlington with family and friends at her side.
Georgette was born in Marieville, Quebec Canada, Feb. 8, 1904, the daughter of the late Eusebe and Olivine (LeBeau) Prairie.
During her working life she cared for many children throughout the Burlington area and also worked out of her home as a seamstress. In earlier years while living in Chicago she was a supervisor of housekeeping at St. Luke's Hospital. She will also be remembered as one of the first telephone operators for the Town of Alburg. She was a longtime parishioner of Christ he King Roman Catholic Church in Burlington where she also belonged to the Ladies of Saint Anne.
Georgette is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gabrielle Mercier of Ludlow; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 19, 2003, at 11 a.m. from St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Alburg Village. The pastor Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE will be the celebrant and homilist. Interment will follow in St. Amadeus Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton on Wednesday evening, June 18, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m.

HAROLD E. JOHNSON
RICHFORD -- Harold E. Johnson, age 90, died Friday evening, June 13, 2003, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. He was born in Enosburg Falls, March 21, 1913, the son of the late John and Etta (Wright) Johnson.
Harold attended school in Richford and later married Winona (Johnson) Johnson. He was employed by United Farmers Creamery, Caledonia Sand & Gravel, and was a care taker for John Nixon and had also ran the family farm for many years and enjoyed logging with horses. He loved to take his grandchildren fishing and take them for rides and see how fast he could go, which was at top speed of 40 mph. He enjoyed everyone's company and often talked about the bears he had shot.
He is survived by a son and his wife, H. Durwood and Phyllis Johnson of Richford; two daughters, Charlotte Burnham and her husband, Murelle, of Glenn Sutton, Que., and Beverly Johnson of Hartford, Conn.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Winona Johnson; a daughter, Elaine Johnson; two brothers, Durin and Carl Johnson; and a sister, Ruth Oliver.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 at the Spears Funeral Home, 140 Main St., Richford, with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in the Richford Center Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10 until the hour of the funeral.

PAUL A. MOULTON
COLCHESTER, VT / LAKELAND, Fla. -- Paul A. Moulton, 73, died Friday, June 13, 2003, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, with his loving family by his side. Paul was born in North Clarenden, Vt. on June 5, 1930, the son of Leon and Alice (Tousignant) Moulton.
He graduated from Mount St. Joseph's in 1948. He enlisted in the Navy, then upon his discharge enlisted in the Air Force where he served until retirement. On June 21, 1951, he married Mildred Pelkey at the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Catholic Church in Rutland.
Paul received his Associate of Science Degree in April of 1978. He had been employed by Piper Aircraft as a Mechanical Engineer, retiring in 1985. Following retirement Paul shared his time between his home in Lakeland, Fla. in the winter and the Lone Pine Campground in Colchester in the summer.
Paul is survived by his daughter Teesh Moulton and her life partner, Kerry Whalley, of Milton; his son, Mike Moulton, of Wichita, Kansas; by his sisters Doris Donahue and her husband, Ken, of No. Clarendon, Lorraine Lee and her husband, Jack, of Lakeland, Fla.; his brother-in-law, Willie Shackett, of Rutland; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred, in 1999, and his sisters Jean Shewell and Joyce Shackett.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton with the Reverend Father John Feltz officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Rutland at 3 p.m. with Father Madison offering committal prayers.
Memorials in Paul's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, New England Division, 11 Loomis St., Montpelier, Vt. 05602-3021.

AVIS L. JOYAL
ENOSBURG FALLS / BAKERSFIELD - Avis L. Joyal, 88, widow of Moses J. Joyal, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, at her home with her family at her side. She was born in South Lincoln, March 17, 1915, the daughter of the late Vernon and Josephine (Danforth) Smith.
She was employed as a nurses aide at Kerbs Memorial Hospital in St. Albans for 20 years retiring in 1980. She also delivered meals to the elderly, she was an Avon representative, enjoyed traveling, playing cards and making quilts. She was a member of the Bakersfield Home Dem Group and St. George's Catholic Church in Bakersfield. Avis and Moses were married in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fairfield Aug. 10, 1936.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Rhoda and John Reynolds of Sheldon Springs; her four sons and their wives, Wayne and Shirley Joyal of Enosburg Falls, Raymond and Joanne Joyal of Bakersfield, Rodney and Pat Joyal of Enosburg Falls, and Landon and Sherri Joyal of Bakersfield; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a grandson, Billy Joe; two great-granddaughters, Hanna Faith and Angel; one sister, Arlene Pecott; and two brothers, Leslie and Carroll Smith.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in East Fairfield with the Reverend Joseph Sullivan celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Georges Cemetery in Bakersfield. There will be no visiting hours.

MARCEL A. LAPIERRE
SEBRING, Fla. -- Marcel A. Lapierre, 75, of Sebring, Fla. went to his Lord Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Sebring, Fla. He was born in Worcester, Mass., May 11, 1927, the son of the late Leopold and Cordelia Lapierre.
Mr. Lapierre was raised in Georgia, Vt., moved to Manchester, Conn. and retired to Sebring, Fla. He was owner and operator of a Locksmith company in Manchester, Conn. A member of AARP, American Legion, Locksmith Association, Amateur Radio (Ham) Operator. He served as a radio operator in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judy, and an infant son, Peter.
He is survived by his wife, Germaine (Moreau) Lapierre, of Sebring, Fla.; two daughters, Diane Lapierre of Bristol, Conn., Susan and her husband, Jose Blay, of Willington, Conn; three sisters, Yvonne and her husband, George Blake, of Georgia; Cecile and her husband, Elphege Rocheleau, of St. Albans; Helen and her husband, Richard Calvin, of St. Albans and Sebring, Fla.; two brothers, Gerard Lapierre and his wife, Jeannette, of Swanton, and Lucien Lapierre of Georgia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003, in Holy Angels Church. There will be no calling hours.
Interment will be in the Lapierre family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
