GLENN E. BURNOR
EDEN -- Glenn Everett Burnor, age 67, passed away late Tuesday evening, April 1, 2003, with his loving family at his side at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Cambridge, Vt. on April 24, 1935, son of the late Arthur and Bertha (Thayer) Burnor.
Glenn graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1953, after which he was offered a full basketball scholarship at Johnson State College. Glenn chose instead to follow in his father's footsteps as a logger, operating the family logging business which began with a team of horses and has progressed to a third generation, professional business now continued by his son, Daniel.
`He was widely known and well-respected as a hard worker with a strong business ethic. Glenn was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Mount Mansfield 26 of Jericho. He enjoyed auto racing, basketball, horse pulling, reading, and participating in the many activities of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the logging community.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Burnor, and Daniel Burnor and his wife H. Dale Porter of North Hyde Park, Vt.; one daughter, Brenda Williams and her husband, Terry, of Graniteville, Vt.; one sister, Melba Masse and her husband, Richard, of Essex Jct.; five grandchildren, Daniel Burnor, Jr., Tyler Burnor, Reava Burnor, P. J. Blanchard, Jr., and Eric Williams; his special friend and companion, Pamela Degree; three step-sons, Timothy Shedd and his wife, Sarah, Tod Shedd and his wife, Katherine, and Theadore Shedd and his wife, Michelle; one step-daughter, Tracy Boyd and her husband, Bill; several step-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his close friends, Bud and Dot Firkey; his former wife and mother of his children, Terry Burnor; and his pet dog, Brutus.
He was also predeceased by three brothers, Leon Burnor, Donald Burnor, and Arnold Burnor; and one sister, Edith Duhamel.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2003, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Hayes-Rich Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Johnson with the Reverend Patricia Thompson officiating.
Inurnment will be in the family lot in Jeffersonville Village Cemetery, in the spring, at the convenience of the family.

IVAN LEO PAUL MASSE
SWANTON/ONTARIO -- Ivan Masse passed away on March 1, 2003, at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario following a brief illness. Ivan, in his 78th year, was one of 21 children born to Onezime and Mabel Masse of St. Joseph, Ontario.
Ivan is survived by seven of his brothers and sisters. Ivan was predeceased by his wife, Ann Magill-Masse in September of 2002, a son, James Masse, and a granddaughter, Vanessa Bourne.
He was a husband to Doreen Ivy Masse (Wilkinson), currently of North Bay and is survived by nine children: daughter Janet Pleau and husband, Bob, of Oakville, son, Jerry Masse and wife, Sally, of North Bay, daughter Judy Bourne of Orangeville, Bonnie Unruh and husband Wayne of Mississauga, Peter Masse of North Bay, Susan Langan and husband, Michael, of Delaware, Ivan Masse and his wife, Diane, of London, Paul Masse and wife, Denise, of Oakville, and John Masse and wife, Nidia, of Mississauga.
Ivan is also survived by 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Ivan was a truck driver for more than 40 years, and during his retirement had one of the most prosperous vegetable gardens in Swanton, Vt. Ivan will be deeply missed by his many family and friends in Toronto, London, North Bay and in Vermont, including his beloved dog, "Bucky."
At Ivan's request, a burial service only was held on Thursday, March 6, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Bay, Ontario, followed by a gathering to which all of his family and friends are welcome.
The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ivan's memory to the Credit Valley Hospital (Mississauga) Cancer Center.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McGuinty Funeral Home.
BARBARA A. PIGNONA
SWANTON/ST. ALBANS -- Mrs. Barbara A. Pignona, age 65, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, April 1, 2003, with her loving family at her bedside, following an extended illness. Barb was born in St. Albans July 15, 1937, one of 15 children to the late Julius and Stella (Mercer) Paquette.
She was a nurse assistant at St. Albans Hospital for several years. She was employed by the Franklin County Home Health Agency and also was a private home nurse for several families. She was a lifelong communicant of Holy Angels Church and served on the Bishop Fund Committee for many years. Barb was a former member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 321.
She was married to James Pignona March 23, 1987. Mr. Pignona died on their 13 anniversary, March 23, 2000.
Her survivors include her four children, Michael and his wife Diane Hemingway of Blaine, Tenn., Leonard Hemingway of Knoxville, Tenn., Carla and her husband David Walton of Swanton, and Ronald Hemingway of Swanton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Adeline Stahl, Cecile Gendron of Theodore, Ala., Joyce Gabree of St. Albans; and brother, Roger Paquette of Sheldon; several nieces and nephews; her special friend, Ruth Tatro; and special caregivers John Brouillette and Annette Blanchard. Besides her parents she was predeceased by 10 siblings, Shirley Burns, Jeannette Viollette, Mary Pigeon, Catherine Cook, Mina Minor, Alfred (Donald) Paquette, Raymond Paquette, and three infant children.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening.

THELMA C. BUSHEY
ST. ALBANS -- Mrs. Thelma C. Bushey, age 84, died Wednesday afternoon, May 28, 2003, in Redstone Villa, following a brief illness. She was born in St. Albans July 22, 1918, daughter of the late Maxwell and Margaret (Malloy) Cleveland.
Thelma was employed in the office of the Central Vermont Railway for over 20 years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Central Vermont Veterans Association and the National Association of Federal Retired Employees.
She married George E. Bushey Sept. 20, 1947, and they enjoyed traveling in their retirement years.
Besides her husband, George, she is survived by their son, Gary and his wife Leigh Bushey of Fairfax; seven grandchildren, Heather Bushey, Keith Bushey, Penny and her husband Roger Laroche, Melissa and her husband Kevin Trombley, Lisa and her husband Kevin Depatie, Reginald Ladue III, and Lawrence Lovely III; a sister, Helen Herrell of Washington, D.C.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Cleveland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Brady & Levesque Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home, 86 South Main Street, from 1 p.m. until the service on Saturday.

JEANNINE B. VINCENT
RICHFORD -- Jeannine B. Vincent, age 90, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2003, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. She was born Nov. 7, 1912, in Richford, the daughter of the late Oswald and Clara (Duval) Vincent.
She was a lifelong resident of Richford and a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was employed at the Franklin Lamoille Bank in Richford for 35 years, retiring in 1977. Jeannine will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of quilt and rug making, and her willingness to give to others.
She is survived by her brother, Leland Vincent of Richford; her sister, Dorothy Place of Morrisonville, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 at All Saints Catholic Church with Reverend Frank Eksterowicz celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In keeping with Jeannine's wishes there will be no visiting hours.

MARJORIE HAUCK
ST. ALBANS -- Mrs. Marjorie Hauck, age 91, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, in Redstone Villa. She was born in Newark, N.J. Sept. 10, 1911, daughter of the late William and Frances (Rose) Beddie.
She was a secretary at Prudential Insurance Co. for ten years and a Probation Officer for the Union County Government in New Jersey for 20 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women and the Sandwood Presbyterian Church, both in Scotch Plains, N.J.
She is survived by three children, Elisabeth and her husband Edward Rasmussen of Larimy, N.Y., John and his wife Debbie Hauck of St. Albans, and Dorothy Taney of Alexandria, N.J.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, James Beddie.
Graveside Committal Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003, in St. Albans Bay Cemetery.

SISTER YVONNE ROBIDA
MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Sister Yvonne Robida, 85, of Manchester, N.H., died May 28, 2003, at the Holy Cross Health Center. Born in New Bedford, Mass., April 29, 1918, she was the daughter of Ludger and Clara (McLean) Robida.
She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross at St. Laurent, Montreal, in 1935, where she made her final profession in 1942. Sister Yvonne earned a B.A. from Notre Dame College, Manchester, N.H. in 1959 and a Masters in Science Degree from Catholic University, Washington, D.C. in 1969. Sister Yvonne also received two grants from the Natural Science Foundation, first from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the second from Alfred University in Alfred, N.Y.
She taught 51 years of parochial, elementary and high school, under the direction of the Sisters of Holy Cross in Nashua, Somersworth, Rochester, Manchester, and Franklin, N.H. In addition, she taught in Springfield, New Bedford and Westport, Mass., and in St. Albans, Vt. She taught for 11 years in the New Bedford Public School system.
She retired to Our Lady of Sacred Heart Home in Franklin in 1987. In 2000 she transferred to St. George Manor, Manchester, N.H. She dedicated 68 years of her life to the Church and to the Congregation.
She leaves two sisters, Sister Lucille Robida, CSC, of Manchester, N.H., and Theresa Audette of New Bedford, Mass.; a nephew, Normand Audette of New Bedford, Mass; a great-nephew; and two great-nieces.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Ernest Robida, Norman Robida and Father Raymond Robida.
Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at St. George Manor, 357 Island Pond Road, Manchester, N.H. A prayer service will be held at 7. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at The Chapel of St. George Manor. Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery in Manchester, N.H.
