Virginia Cameron
Salisbury, Vermont
Virginia Noyes Cameron, 83, lost her battle with cancer at the home of her daughter on January 29, 2000. She was born in Salisbury on December 1, 1916, the daughter of Maida and Karl Noyes.
She attended Salisbury, Brandon and Middlebury schools. After retiring from McCarry and Dawn Vaudeville team as an acrobatic tapdancer, she was employed by Van Raalte for many years as a seamstress, after which she entered the field of community service as (field worker) for Office of Economic Opportunity and Addison County Court Diversion. She was also a member of the Historical Society and a lifetime member of the Salisbury Congregational Church.
Virginia was very fond of all animals and much of her leisure time was spent with them, especially her dogs and cats; she took in many strays. She was always ready for a road trip around the country.
Virginia was predeceased by her husband, George Lewis Cameron and a son, Louis Cameron.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Coburn and her husband Ernest of Salisbury; her son Robert Cameron and his wife Joyce of Salisbury and a daughter, Karlene Alexander of San Mateo, California; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Thursday, February 3, 2000 at the Salisbury Congregational Church. Interment will be at a later date in the spring at the Salisbury Village Cemetery.

Bernard B. Bushey
Bristol, Vermont
Bernard B. Bushey, 74, died peacefully at his home on Monday, January 31, 2000 following a stubborn battle with cancer.
He was born on January 25, 1926 in Monkton, the son of Leon Victor and Eva (Butterfield) Bushey.
Bernard was made a Mason on May 9, 1947, and was a member of Libanus Lodge #47 F&AM in Bristol for 53 years. He was a member of the York Rite Bodies in Middlebury and a member of Cairo Temple A.A.O.N.M.S., where he played in the Drum and Bugle Corps for many years. He was a master of the Saxophone and played in many bands and orchestra over the years including the Bristol Concert Band.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #19 in Bristol. He enjoyed his visits to the Post.
Bernard was a carpenter and builder for many years; and was also employed at Basin Harbor Club in Ferrisburgh.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Marjorie "Toot" (Provoncha) Bushey; six children, Brenda and her husband Leslie Sargent of Townsend, Georgia, Michael and his wife Suzanne Bushey of Monkton, Barbara and her husband Thomas Ball of Starksboro, Janey and her husband Donald Mitchell of Addison, Bradley and his wife Sharon Bushey of Bristol; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Theda) Brown of Milton and Mrs. Roy (Lucille) LaRose of Bristol; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 3, 2000 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment was in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.
Masonic Services were held Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ashley M. Quenneville
Whiting, Vermont
Ashley Marie Quenneville, 17, died Tuesday, February 1, 2000 in Whiting, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Miss Quenneville was born in Middlebury on January 2, 1983. She was the daughter of Steven and Marie (Baldwin) Quenneville. She received her early education in Whiting Elementary School and was presently a Junior at Otter Valley Union High School. She had played Basketball in 8th grade, and had recently received an award for sportsmanship. In her earlier years she had belonged to Whiting 4-H. She enjoyed music and had played the clarinet. She had belonged to the Otter Valley Chorus. She enjoyed reading and art. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brandon.
Surviving are her parents, Steven and Marie Quenneville of Whiting; one brother, Derek S. Quenneville of Whiting; her maternal grandmother, Cynthia Baldwin of Brandon and her paternal grandmother, Claudette Quenneville of Whiting. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, February 5, 2000 at St. Mary's Church in Brandon. The Reverend Albert "Skip" Baltz, Pastor was the celebrant. The Reverend Douglas Hawkins, former Pastor, did the readings; Gary Griffin assisted. Alter servers were Tim Stanley and Derrick Cram. Organist was Stu James and Soloist was Jeanine Griffin. Gary Tabor, Principal of Otter Valley Union High School, delivered a message of consolation and hope to over 500 mourners in attendance.
Pallbearers were Matthew Quenneville of Leicester, Matthew Bilodeau of Shoreham, Andy Quenneville, Justin Quenneville, Luke Quenneville and Jeremy Quenneville, all of Whiting.
A private graveside committal service and burial followed the mass in Pine Hill Cemetery in Brandon.

Rodna V. Farr
Bristol, Vermont
Rodna V. Farr, 91, died Tuesday February 1, 2000 at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington.
She was born on July 3, 1908 in Chesterfield, Illinois, the daughter of William and Ada (Sarginson) Fenton.
Rodna married Rolan S. Farr in Decatur, Illinois on October 28, 1945. They farmed in South Bristol for 25 years beginning in 1950 and during that time, they established and ran Elephant Mountain Campground until May of 1999. Rolan predeceased Rodna on October 16, 1999.
She is survived by a niece, Marilyn Culbreth of Florida and nephew William Fenton of Illinois.
Rodna was predeceased by a brother William in 1967.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 4, 2000 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment was in Maple Cemetery in Lincoln.

Garland P. Bashaw
Bristol, Vermont
Garland P. Bashaw, 64, died Tuesday, February 1, 2000 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston.
He was born on March 29, 1935 in Shoreham, the son of Wilbur F. and Mildred I. (Doaner) Bashaw.
Garland was employed at Beckwith Motors in Middlebury for 22 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Marlene (Lavalatte) Bashaw on March 26, 1988.
Garland is survived by four children; Garry and his wife Karen Bashaw of S. Lincoln, Debbie Bashaw and her husband Dean Emmons of Bristol, Patty and her husband Gary Douglas in Minnesota, Cathy Bashaw of Bristol; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and special friend Pauline Rheaume of Vergennes.
Funeral services were held Thursday, February 3, 2000 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
