Wanda Kingsbury
SHARON — Wanda L. Kingsbury, 83, died Feb. 28 at the Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon, N.H. She was born Sept. 2, 1917 in Braintree, the daughter of George and Nina (Jones) Luce.
She graduated from South Royalton High School in 1935 and was married
to John Miller Sept. 14, 1936 in South Royalton.
She lived in Royalton and worked as a seamstress at Van Raalte in Randolph; later working at HW Carter and Profile Skiwear, both in Lebanon, N. H.
She moved to Lebanon in 1973 and was married
to Leroy Kingsbury in 1975. She worked at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover as a dietician until retiring in 1979. Mr. Kingsbury died in 1989. She enjoyed bingo and dancing.
She leaves a son John I. Miller, of Lebanon, N.H.; three daughters: Donalyn Jones of South Royalton, Myra Miller of Sharon, and Darlene Danskin of Canaan, N.H.; two sisters; Della Ohmen of Randolph, and Mary (Fay) Bouchard of Pepperill, Mass., 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Francis Luce and a sister Harriet Rogers.
A memorial service was held March 4 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct.
Michael J. Vize
NEWBURGH, IND. — Michael James Vize, 44, died unexpectedly of surgical complications, Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at the Indianapolis Medical Center in Indianapolis.
He was born Jan. 3, 1957, in Auburn, New York, the son of James F. and Patricia L. Vize. He grew up on the east and west coasts, where he was active in the Boy Scouts, attaining the Order of the Arrow.
His family moved to Randolph, living on Mason Road. He graduated from Randolph Union High School, where he was a member of the FFA. His love of farming led him to Williamstown, where he was a dairy farmer and a member of the Dairy Farmers of America.
He married
Brenda Jean Kenward of Evansville, Ind., in October 1998. He lived in Newburgh, Ind., with his wife and their daughter and was a member of the Newburgh United Methodist Church.
He worked for USF Holland as a truck driver and was a member of Local 215 Teamsters Union. His interests included collecting antique toys and games, airplanes, airline memorabilia and trains. He enjoyed working in his yard, fishing in Alaska and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Brenda, and daughter Morgan of Newburgh, Ind.; his son, Timothy, of Barre, Vt.; and his father, James Vize of St. Cloud, Fla. He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia Vize, who died in December of 1994. He is also survived by three sisters: Deborah Vize and friend, Dan Dawley of Stockbridge, Kathleen Vize, nephew Ricky and friend, Andy Carey, of Brookfield, N.Y., and Cynthia Vize of Williston; also aunts, uncles and cousins; and his mother and father-in-law, sisters-in-law and their family members in Indiana.
Funeral services were held Feb. 18, 2001 at the Alexander Newburgh Chapel, with the Rev. David H. Lee officiating.
A private family committal service was held Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Rose Hill cemetery, Newburgh, Ind.

Madelene A. Judd
PITTSBURG, N.H. — Madeline A. Judd died March 3, 2001, at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, N.H. after a long illness.
Born Oct. 23, 1926, in Pittsburg, she was the daughter of Harry F. and Althea (Hurlbert) Huggins.
She was a 1944 graduate of Pittsburg High School and attended nurse training at Maine Medical Center. She married
Burnham (Bing) Judd on Oct. 2, 1954.
She worked as a telephone switchboard operator in Pittsburg during the 50s and 60s, and later as an Avon representative for more than 10 years.
In the early 1970’s, she became a certified ambulance attendant, an emergency medical technician and would later become an EMT/First Aid instructor and a Red Cross certified CPR instructor. She was a member of the Board of Overseers for the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook.
She enjoyed painting scenery, receiving numerous awards at the Lancaster Fair for both her paintings and hooked rugs. She also enjoyed golf, knitting, crocheting, hunting, fishing and traveling, especially to Florida.
In addition to being active in the Republican Party, she served five years as president of Home Health and several years as president of the Pittsburg Historical Society. She served as the financial secretary of the Farnham Memorial Methodist Church in Pittsburg. She was a 50-year member of the grange, having been a member in Colebrook, and more recently in Pittsburg.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years; two sons, Eric Stohl of Columbia, and Don Stohl, of Braintree, Vt.; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Norma) Burns of West Stewartstown, and Ruth Grant of Pittsburg; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by a son, Bruce Stohl.
Jeffrey Morse
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jeffrey William Morse, 41, of Charlotte died Saturday, March 24, 2001 at home. Memorial services were held Wednesday, March 28 at Weddington United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bill Fogarty of First Baptist Church of Weddington officiating. His family received friends following the service at the Church. Interment will follow later in what he considered his home state, Vermont.
He was born December 31, 1949 in Boston, Mass. to James H.L. Morse and the late Barbara Morse. He graduated from Turkey Hollow High School in Barnard, Vt. and served his country for 20 years, retiring in 1998 as Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and had served in Desert Storm. He was a dedicated soldier. After his military career ended, he joined F.N. Thompson Construction Company as a superintendent.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, skiing, and hockey. He was a dedicated and loving father and friend.
Survivors include his father, James Morse of Dillsbury, Penn., his children, Julia and Matthew Morse of Weddington, N.C., his brothers, James Morse of West Yarmouth, Mass., Matthew Morse of Athens, Ohio, and Scott Morse of West Yarmouth, Mass., his sister, Susan Morse of Athens, Ohio and his former wife, Unhee Morse of Weddington, N.C.
Memorials may be sent to the Jeffrey W. Morse Band Scholarship Fund, c/o Tom Moncrief, Weddington High School, 4901 Monroe-Weddington Road, Matthews, N.C. 28104.
Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home.
Mary McCracken
SHELBURNE — Mary Tyler Chadwick McCracken 79, died Friday, March 23, at Wake Robin, in Shelburne.
She was born in Seattle, Wash., May 5, 1921, the daughter of Margaret (Tyler) and Stephen Fowler Chadwick.
She attended Scripps College and graduated from the College of William and Mary.
She was a great-granddaughter of John Tyler, 10th president of the United States.
She married
W. Chave McCracken an Episcopal clergyman in 1949, in Webster Groves, Mo. They lived in Oberlin, Lakewood, and Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
She was a devoted and supportive wife, mother, and volunteered for many causes. She was recognized by the State of Ohio for the work she did for gun control. Among her interests were golf, politics and genealogy.
The McCrackens retired to Ivy, Va., in 1982, and moved to Wake Robin in Shelburne, in 1994 to be closer to their daughters and their families.
She is survived by her husband, W. Chave McCracken of Shelburne; her daughters: Adelaide McCracken of Barnard, Margaret McCracken of Woodstock, and Sara Norcross of Reading; five grandchildren; and her brother, Stephen F. Chadwick Jr., of Bainbridge Island, Wash.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 29, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 5167 Shelburne Road, Shelburne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to: Alzeimers Association, Green Mountain Chapter, P.O. Box 1139, Montpelier, Vt. 05601, or to Planned Parenthood of Vt., 23 Mansfield Ave., Burlington, Vt. 05401.

Kenneth J. Deluca
WILIMINGTON, N.C. — Kenneth J. Deluca, 59, died Aug. 22, 2001. He was born Sept. 8, 1941 In Brooklyn, N.Y.
He grew up on Long Island where he pursued his passion for baseball. A standout pitcher voted the best high school baseball player on Long Island, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals and given a scholarship by Clemson University. After arm injuries curtailed his baseball career, Ken returned to New York and graduated from Hofstra University.
For the next 20 years he worked in retail management for Sears & Roebuck, rising as high as store manager before retiring in 1984 to open his own business in Rochester, where he owned and operated the Market Basket and The Silver Tooth Pub.
In 2000 Ken and his wife Gay sold their business and retired to the golf-friendly climate of Wilmington, N.C.
He is survived by Gay; four sons; Kevin, Scott, Jason and Joel; two grandsons, (Michael and Silas); his sister, Ginny; and loving family and friends.
Throughout his life, he remained interested in political and environmental issues. To honor those interests, the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be sent in his name to the Nature Conservancy, a local environmental organization, or the American Cancer Society.
A memorial service will take place Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Magnolia Greens Country Club in Wilmington, N.C.
