DUNGANNON, Va. -- Mary Cecile Wolfe Peters, 76, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
She was a native of Scott County and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Lex Peters; one daughter, Barbara Peters Churchwell, Church Hill; three sons, Lex Boyd Peters, Kingsport, Paul Cleo Peters, Weber City, and the Rev. Bobby Lynn Peters, Dungannon; two sisters, Frankie Louise Peters and Eliza Jane Wolfe, both of Dungannon; one brother, Albert "Aud" Wolfe, Kingsport; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio -- George Washington Roberts, 77, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Mercy Medical Center.
He was a native of Bristol Virginia and had been a Clark County area resident for over 45 years.
He retired in 1981 from Howard Sobert after 30 years of service.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church and Springfield Teamsters Union 654.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea L. Keesee Roberts; three daughters, Patricia Berry and Jennifer LeBaroff, both of Springfield, and Shirley Crum, Florida; two sons, Thomas Roberts and George Roberts, both of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ethyl Allyn Cecil Rogers, 59, of 318 Rogers Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was an employee of Economy Beauty Supply and the widow of Franklin D. "Frank" Rogers Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Susan C.
Smith and Judy Marie Epperson, both of Bristol Tennessee, and Joyce Ann Oliver, Bluff City; one son, Franklin David Rogers Jr., Bluff City; her mother, Lula M. Cecil, Bristol Tennessee; one sister, Jeanette Hopkins, Bristol Tennessee; two brothers, Arthur Allen Michaels and Carl Hugh Cecil, both of Bristol Tennessee; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Miss Essie Virginia Rotenberry, 83, of 464 Bullock Hollow Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Wise County and a graduate of Appalachia High School.
She was a resident of Bristol in the Weaver Community for 60 years.
She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Weaver's Union Church.
Survivors include one sister, Pauline Rotenberry Lorton, Radford, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Allen Rotenberry, Kingsport, and Virginia S. Rotenberry, Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

ABINGDON -- Mrs. Evelyn Belle Cassell Stewart, 82, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, at her home.
She was a native of Wise County, Va., and had lived in Coeburn before moving to Abingdon 16 years ago.
She was of the Baptist faith and was the widow of Albert Henry Stewart.
Survivors include one son, James Stewart, Abingdon; one brother, Hershell Cassell, Midlothian, Va; two sisters, Clara Hatfield, Blacksburg, S.C., and Edna Larson, Trinity Center, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

LEBANON -- Mrs. Lumie C. Warner, 95, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, in Russell County Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Russell County and a member of the Bascom United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of James D. Warner.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cleo Williams, Bristol, Virginia; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

KINGSPORT -- J. Malcolm Watson, 78, died Monday, Jan. 13, 1997, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
He was a llfelong resident of Kingsport and a member of Kingsport Community Church.
He was retired from Tennessee Eastman Company after 43 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Fleenor Watson; one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Susie) Garland, Blountville; one son, David Malcolm Watson, Blountville; three sisters, Margaret Johnson, Haselteen Aldeen and Shirley Johnson, all of Kingsport; and four grandchildren.

EDGEWATER, Fla. -- Ray Preston Wheeler, 82, of Hardin Place, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997 at his home.
He was a native of Meadowview, and had lived in Edgewater for 33 years, coming from Bristol Tennessee.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a retired barber with the Edgewater Barber Shop.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Wheeler; one son, Charles "Dick" Bristol; one daughter, Sue Blackwell, Edgewater; three brothers, Wallace, Orlando, Douglas, Abingdon, and Eugene, Hampton; one sister, Helen Humphrey, Meadowview; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
