James T. Arnold
James Thomas "Thom" Arnold, 55, formerly of Morrell Town Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in the Asbury Center,
Johnson City.
He was a lifelong resident of Bristol Tennessee.
He was gifted in writing and did a great deal of research on the Holy Scriptures.
He was a member of the River Bend Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Don (Linda) Arnold,
Johnson City; one niece, Amy Caruso, New York, N.Y.; two nephews, Jonathan Arnold, Lafayette, Colo., and Matthew Arnold, Virginia Beach, Va.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Frank R. Bolling
Frank Robert Bolling, 62, of 266 Cedar Lane, Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997.
He was a native of Sullivan County, a retired woodworker and a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Lillian Clark Bolling, Bristol Tennessee; one brother, Joe Bolling, Bristol Tennessee; and two nieces and nephews.

Laura M. Cook
WARRENTON, Va. -- Mrs. Laura Mae "Mayme" Cook, 97, formerly of Richlands, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in an Abingdon hospital.
She was a native of Buchanan County and had lived in Richlands most of her life, moving to Warrenton, Va., 30 years ago.
She was a member of the Richlands First United Methodist Church.
She was also a former member of the W.C.T.U., the
Williams Circle and the Richlands Order of the Eastern Star No. 104.
She was the widow of B.J. Cook.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Harry D. (Paulette) Smith, Tazewell, Mrs. Trinkle (Wanda) Taylor, Warrenton, and Ms. Jaydean C. Farris, Winfield, Pa.; one son, Hugh E. Cooke, Richlands; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Moses E. Harrison
VENTURA, Calif. -- Moses Elbert Harrison, 64, died Dec. 29, 1996, in UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, Calif.
He was a native of Tazewell, Va.
He was a graduate of Tazewell High School and of the Washington County Technical School where he received a certificate in drafting.
He played professional baseball in the Minor Leagues and received an invitation to spring training by the Cleveland Indians.
He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War.
Following his military and baseball efforts, he worked for a time in the car sales business and was Used Car Sales Manager at Campbell Ford in Bristol Tennessee during the late 1960s.
He was also employed for many years with Raytheon in Bristol and Oxnard, Calif.
He was later employed with ITT Corp. and the Northrup Corp. in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
He was a member of Oxnard First Baptist Church for 25 years and was involved in "The Living Cross" of that church during the late 1970s.
Survivors include three daughters, Pamela Jackson, Ontario, Calif., Kimberly Reimert, Spring, Texas and Debbie Harrison, Oxnard; one son, Brian Harrison, Ventura; four sisters, Sylvia Phillips, Thompson Valley, Va., Edith Foss, Endicott, N.Y., Judy Burgess, Bristol Virginia and Sallie Graham, Norwalk, Calif.; one brother, Glenn Harrison, Tazewell, Va.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Carolyn S. Moore
ABINGDON -- Mrs. Carolyn S. Moore, 63, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
She was a native of Washington County where she lived most of her life and was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, Meadowview.
She was also a retired retail supervisor with Rose's in Abingdon.
Survivors include her husband, Roscoe R. Moore; one son, Robert H. Moore, Abingdon; two daughters, Kathleen D. Dolinger, Omaha, Neb., and Myrtle Edmondson, Abingdon; one brother, William "Bill" Smith, Abingdon; and five grandchildren.

Billy G. Morris
KEOKEE, Va. -- Billy G. Morris, 67, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Keokee.
He was a retired miner and a member of the UMWA District No. 28. He was a member of the Kingsport Moose Lodge and the Eagles of Kingsport.
He was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Morris; one son, Dale Morris, Jonesville; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Rebecca) Whisman, Keokee; his mother, Mary Ann Morris, Kingsport; three sisters, Mrs. Victor (Nancy) Craft, Kingsport, Patsy Short and Norma Medlen, both of Titusville, Fla.; one brother, Norris Morris, Kingsport; eight nieces; and one nephew.

Harley R. Musick
Harley R. Musick, 76, of 199 Keith Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Washington County, Va., but had lived most of his life in Bristol.
He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of Calvary Bible Church.
He was a veteran of World War II.

Musick Jr., Shady Spring, W.Va.; five sisters, Mrs. Eula Sams and Mrs. Clara Thayer, both of Bristol Tennessee, Mrs. Mary Milsaps, Mrs. Josephine Davis and Mrs. Annie Jones, all of Bristol Virginia; three brothers, Isaac Musick, High Point, N.C., J.D. Musick, Springfield, Va., and Leighton Musick, Bristol Virginia; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Clinton D. Owens
VANSANT, Va. -- Clinton D. Owens, 75, of the Deel area, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 1997.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Buchanan County, and a member of Vansant Baptist Church.
He had served in the United States Army -- 372nd division, during World War II and was a retired merchant having been in the furniture business.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Virginia Maxine Dye Owens; one daughter, Leona Owens and Leigh Owens, both of Vansant; four sisters, Clara Looney and Pat Viers, both of Vansant, Ellen Meadows, Oakwood, and Evelyn Wimmer, Whitewood; and one brother, Aven Owens, Grundy.
