MARION -- Raymond Dunford, 45, of Route 6, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Smyth County.
He was a member of the Adwolfe Freewill Baptist Church and an employee of Brunswick and Marion Composites for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Farmer Dunford; one daughter, Cherrie Lynn Dunford, Marion; his mother, Maxine Hutton Dunford Perkins, Marion; one granddaughter; two brothers, Dennis Dunford, Astoria, N.Y., and Frank Dunford, Marion; five sisters, Elizabeth Haga, Peggy Snider, Barbara Testerman and Patsy Walters, all of Marion, and Audrey Moncrief, Texas.

Annabelle S. Geiger
Annabelle S. Geiger, Bristol Tennessee, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at her home.
She was a native of Hubbard, Ohio and had lived in Bristol since 1950.
She was the widow of her pharmacist husband, E.L. "Doc" Geiger.
She was a homemaker and a life member of the Tennessee Congress of Parents and Teachers, a life member and officer emeritus of the Bristol YWCA, and a teaching assistant for several years in the Bristol Tennessee School System. She was also a member of several contract and duplicate bridge clubs.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Geiger, Blountville, Mary Ellen Geiger, Bristol Tennessee, Susan Geiger Herron, Kingsport; one son, William F. "Bill" Geiger, Bristol Virginia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Nannie O. Gibson
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Mrs. Nannie Oreda Fox Gibson, 93, of 11501 Moores Chapel Road, formerly of the Thompson Valley area of Tazewell, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, in a Richlands hospital.
She was a native of Thompson Valley.
She was a lifelong servant of God and attended the Bandy Community Freewill Baptist Church, Bandy, Va.
She was the widow of Ellis Franklin Gibson.
Survivors include three sons, Paul Gibson and Shad Gibson, both of Charlotte, and Phillip Gibson, Jacksonville, Fla., two daughters, Joanna Brown, Swords Creek, Va., Mary Sparks, Bandy, Va.; two step-sons, Stephen Kenneth Gibson, Roanoke, and Bill Gibson, Antioch, Calif.; three step daughters, Jane Conn, Tazewell, Va., Juanita Hellas, Holly, Mich. and Betty Virginia Smith, Richmond, Va.; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews.

COEBURN -- Carrie Skeens Honaker, 65, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 1997, at her home.
She attended the Banner Revival Center, Coeburn.

Skeens, Castlewood; one daughter, Sarah Skeens Lawson, Coeburn; two step-daughters, Linda Delph, Dante, and Ruth Honaker Skeens, Castlewood; one brother, Joe Kennedy, Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Edith Gilbert, Manassas, and Minnie Ruth Riggs, Castlewood; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OAK FOREST, Ill. -- Raymond F. Jadrych, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996.
He had worked the same job for 37 years and was a member of St. Damians Catholic Church of Oak Forest.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Fleming Jadrych; two sons, Mark Jadrych, Decatur, Texas and Kenneth Jadrych, Halstead, Kan.; four grandchildren, Lynette Peterson, Kristin Burton, Victoria Jadrych and Lucas Jadrych; and several nieces and nephews.

Maria T. Samonte, 73, of 1102 N. Paperville Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of the Philippines and had lived in Bristol for the past 11 years.
She attended St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her hsuband, Cesar Samonte; three daughters, Donna Sieber, Bristol Tennessee, Amor Gomez, Australia, and Sarah Enriquez, of the Philippines; three sons, Gil Samonte, of the Philippines, Noel Samonte, Australia and Deo Samonte, Bristol Tennessee; seven sisters and one brother, all of the Philippines; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MEADOWVIEW -- Lawrence Lester Shupe, 82, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va.
He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was a farmer.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Tomlinson, Marion; and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Tolliver, Abingdon.

He was a lifelong resident of Scott County and was a brick mason.

Wyatt Byrd; one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Beatrice) Boyd, Claypool Hill; one son, Roger William Byrd, Bassett, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Emily Brown, Mrs. Thelma Boyd and Mrs. Delore Richardson, all of Swords Creek, and Mrs. Maude Witten, North Tazewell, Va.; one brother, Floyd Byrd, Pounding Mill; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Palma Marie "Pam" Crusenberry, 43, of 41 Hassen Heights Road, Bristol, Va., died Thursday, Jan. 2, 1997, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a receptionist with Abingdon Family Practice and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Crusenberry; one daughter, Shannon Crusenberry, of the home; and one son, Justin Crusenberry, of the home.

HAYSI -- Gary Zane Edwards, 23, died Monday, Dec. 30, 1996, in Michigan from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was a 1993 graduate of Haysi High School and was employed at Consolidated Freight Ways.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Edwards, Naples, Fla., his father, Worley Zane Edwards, Capac, Mich., one daughter, Krystin Bree Edwards; one brother, Joey Lee Edwards, Dalton, Ga.; his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Ada Deel, Haysi; one half-sister, Christine Edwards, Haysi; three half-brothers, Johnathon Edwards, Jordan Edwards and Javen Edwards, all of Michigan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
