Cregger
Teddy Andrew Cregger, age 56, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Elkhorn, W.Va., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at the Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Franklin Cregger, and a brother, Robert Franklin Cregger.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles "Gina" McElRoy, Columbus, Ohio; one son, Theodore Franklin Cregger II, Columbus, Ohio; his mother, Athaleen Wyatt Cregger, Welch, W.Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Norma Jean) Royster, Aberdeen, Md., Mrs. Paul (Lillian June) Campbell, Newark, Del., and Mrs. Wade (Brenda Joan) Duvall, Abb's Valley; three granddaughters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Newberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the McClure Cemetery. Friends may call at any time on Thursday.

Gullion
Alfred Maiden "Pete" Gullion Jr., age 53, formerly of Saltville, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 at his home in Pinehurst, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Dana Rhea Gullion; one daughter, Wendy Ann Felty, Chilhowie; two sons, Jason Gullion Sr., Chilhowie, and Patrick Gullion, Pinehurst, Texas; three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held today, Oct. 22, in Klein Memorial Gardens, Tomball, Texas.

Johnson
James "Jimmy" Harry Johnson, age 68, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997 at his home in Marion.
Mr.
Johnson was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces having served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.
He is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, James W. and Sandra Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, all of Marion, and Michael and Lea Johnson, Blacksburg; five grandchildren: Christopher Lee Smith, Terrence Kelwin Smith, Derek Stephen Johnson, Devon Camille Johnson, Dana Michelle Johnson.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. in Barnett's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nolan Wolfe officiating. Interment followed in the Round Hill Cemetery with full military honors being rendered by the Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.

Moore
James Shannon Moore, age 70, of Collinsville, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 1997 at Hunter-Oakes Nursing Home Center in Charlotte, N.C.
He was born May 21, 1927 in Smyth County, a son of the late Dewey L. Moore and Stella
Smith Moore. He was preceded in death by a sister, Genevieve Callen.
Mr. Moore was a retired pipefitter at DuPont where he worked for 18 years, and was a volunteer fireman in the Martinsville/Collinsville Fire Department in the 1960s.
He was an active member of
Smith Memorial United Methodist Church in Collinsville where he had received the United Methodist Man of the Year award.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Catherine Gail) Ashby of Millbury, Mass., and Mrs. Palmer (Audrey Lee) Lanier of Statesboro, Ga.; one sister, Memelee
Jones of Chilhowie; four brothers, Marvin D. Moore of Martinsville, Morris E. Moore of Rich Acres, Ronald D. Moore of Collinsville, and Thomas S. Moore of Andrews, N.C.; one grandson; two granddaughters; one step-grandson; one step-granddaughter; his stepmother, Leovia Moore of Meadowview; three great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. at
Smith Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ralph Satter officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.

Sanders
Norval Lee Sanders, age 77, of Glade Spring, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997 in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
He was a veteran of World War II where he was wounded in the South Pacific and received a Purple Heart.
He retired from Norfolk-Portsmouth Beltline Railroad.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Sanders; three sons, Tony Booth Sanders, Virginia Beach, Norval Lee Sanders Jr., and Timothy Ray Sanders, both of Glade Spring; one brother, Bob Gillen, Saltville; four sisters, Gladys Holmes, Glade Spring, Tine Cannon and Betty Jo Gillen, both of Saltville, Dixie Garland, Meadowview; five grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday , Oct. 20, in D.R. Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Briggs officiating. Entombment with VFW military rites followed in Mount Rose Mausoleum.

Armbrister
Jared Lee Armbrister, age 16, of Concord, Ala., died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997 as the result of a house fire.
He was a member of Earnest Methodist Church in Hueytown, and a student of Hueytown High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry L. Armbrister, formerly of Wythe County; his paternal grandparents, Randolph Armbrister and Margaret Lou Edmonds Von Cannon; his paternal great-grandparents, Lonnie Ernest and Margaret Ann Nelson Edmonds.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Armbrister, Concord, Ala.; two aunts, Betty Livingston of Tennessee and Suzanne Ogle of Max Meadows; two uncles, Norman Weems of Bessemer, Ala., and Dan Kegley of Chilhowie; a step-grandmother, Nancy Kegley of Wytheville; two special cousins, Courtney Sheffey and Micah Sheffey, both of Max Meadows; a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at
Brown Service West Chapel in Alabama. Burial will be held today, Oct. 25, at the Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Mississippi. Memorial contributions may be made to the Armbrister Memorial Fund at NBC Bank in Hueytown, Ala.

Arnold
Elizabeth Glaettli Arnold, age 58, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997 at her home in Clemmons, N.C.
Mrs. Arnold was born Aug. 8, 1939 in Fauquier County to Carl Rollo and Miriam Glaettli. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She recently retired from Sara Lee Corporation and was very active in the North Carolina Master Gardeners, Samaritan Ministries, The Russian Family fund and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Donald Arnold, formerly of Atkins.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jon Scott and Robyn Reese Arnold of Winston-Salem, N.C.; her mother, Miriam Glaettli of Bealton; two sisters, Joan Brent of Bealton, and Alyce Dingler of Portland, Ore.; one brother, Carl Rollo Glaettli II of Davenport, Iowa; her mother-in-law, Virginia Arnold of Atkins. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law and beloved friends of this area.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 20, at 3 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem, N.C., with the Rev. John L. Jenkins officiating. Burial was held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bealton on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Russian Family, c/o Ward B. Campbell
Charles Alexander Campbell Sr., age 89, of Fairlawn, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997.
He was a native of Damascus and was a longtime resident of the Fairlawn community where he enjoyed his retirement from Hercules Inc. since 1972.
His hobbies were repairing sewing machines and lawn mowers.
He served for many years as a faithful member of the Fairlawn Baptist Church as a trustee and deacon and was a liaison and representative for the church family during the rebuilding of the present facility. He was also a former member of Fairlawn Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Rouse Campbell; his parents, Horton and Bertha Anderson Campbell; one son, Jimmie Harold Campbell; and one brother, Herbert Campbell.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kitty Campbell, Fairlawn; one granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Susan and Mark Rooney, Pulaski; one grandson, Edward Campbell; one great-grandson, Charles Brandon Hughett; two step-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Henry and Louise Campbell, Marion, Robert F. and Helen Campbell, Abingdon, and Jack and Betty Campbell, Friendship.
A memorial service will be held today, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. in Fairlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny W. Collins officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairlawn Baptist Church Sound System, c/o Fairlawn Baptist Church, 6758 Oxford Ave., Radford, VA 24241.
