Mrs. Eileen W. DeHart, 78, died Sunday May 11, 1997 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
A native of Saltville and Roanoke, she worked for K & W Cafeteria for about 25 years.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sue Drake and husband Bill Drake, Mary Mounce and husband Eddie Mounce; one son, Reuben DeHart, Jr. and wife Robin DeHart; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren, all of Greensboro, N.C.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 1997 at Glenwood United Methodist Church, with internment in Guilford Memorial Park.

Haga
Roy Haga, 84, of Damascus, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Konnarock who lived in Elberson, Penn. for 22 years before moving back to Konnarock 25 years ago. He was a retired crane operator from St. Peters Granite Company in Pennsylvania and was a member of Azen Baptist Church in Konnarock.
He is survived by his wife, Vera L. Haga; one daughter, JoAnn Bennett, of Beverly, W.Va.; two sons, Russell Scott Haga of Elberson, Penn., and Gerald Lee Roy Haga of Valaparsio, Ind.; one sister, Rissie Poe, of Bristol, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, two great great granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 10, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Azen Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Lester, Rev. Greg Arnold and Rev. Charles E. "Jody" Blevins officiating. Burial followed in Azen Cemetery.

Williams Headlee, housewife and volunteer, died December 20, 1996, in the home of her daughter, Kelly Headlee McKenna in Fairfax. She was the beloved wife of Harold Headlee, Lt. Col. USAF (Ret) of Marion, VA; sister of Richard

Williams of Bridgeport, W.Va., and "Pete"
Williams of Richmond; mother of Christopher Headlee, Lt. Col., USAF, and Kevin Headlee (both of Centreville), and Kelly McKenna; grandmother of Jonathan and Jessica Headlee of Centreville, Matthew Headlee of Manassas, and Nathan McKenna of Fairfax.
She grew up in both Smyth and Grayson counties and graduated from Marion High School in 1946. She went to the University of Tennessee and became an x-ray technician. While working at a hospital in Houston, Texas, she met and married her husband Harold Headlee of Greensboro, Penn. She spent the next 23 years traveling around the country, serving as an Air Force wife. She was a resident of Fairfax from 1971 to 1992 and a member of Fairfax United Methodist Church (1971-1992), City of Fairfax Friends of the Library, and United Daughters of the Confederacy. They returned to Marion in 1992 and were members of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church of Marion.
There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Marion. After the service, there will be a gathering for family and friends at Harold Headlee's home. If the weather is bad, it will be held at the church. The family has asked relatives and friends to make contributions in her name to the Hospice of Northern Virginia, 11166 Main Street, Suite 405, Fairfax, VA 22030.
Jones
Robert Daniel Jones, 59, of Rural Retreat, died Sunday May 11, 1997 at his residence.
He was born in Smyth County to the late Roy Daniel and Faye Irene Woods Jones. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Harold Jones, and a sister, Mildred Jones.
He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Tony Catron, Cindy
Jones all of Roanoke, and Selena and Scott Mitchell of Rural Retreat; two sons, Robert Darrel
Jones of Roanoke, and Dale
Jones of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Frances and Isom Sturgill of Rural Retreat and Mary Ann Coley of Marion; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Anna Jones, Jimmy and Margaret Jones, and Fred and Jan Jones, all of Rural Retreat; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, May 14, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery in Rural Retreat with the Rev. Michael Hoyle officiating.
The family requests that those who prefer, may make memorials to the Rural Retreat Emergency Services.

Foster
Bonnie Elizabeth McKinnon Foster, age 71, died Thursday, May 15, 1997 in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion.
Mrs.
Foster was a native of Wythe County, but had lived most of her life in Smyth County. She was a much loved mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Elizabeth
Smith of Marion and Janice Deatherage of Roanoke; three sons, Tommy Leon Simms of Marion, Charles Scott Simms of Saltville and David Dallas Simms of Chilhowie; two sisters, Mabel Henderlite of Atkins and Virginia Leonard of Rockville, MD; three brothers, Richard McKinnon, Paul McKinnon and Scott McKinnon, all of Marion; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Barnett's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Blizzard officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.

Trivett
Charles H. Trivett, age 77, died Sunday, May 11, 1997 in Damascus.
He was a life-long resident of Damascus and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, World War II. He was a former council member in the town of Damascus and was supporter of the Appalachian Trail Conference. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Trivett; two sisters, Hazel Cornett and Lou Brewer, both of Damascus; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 14, at
Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R. J. Cullop officiating. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Park.

Woods
Mrs. Mattie Mae Woods, age 64, died Monday, May 12, 1997 in Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Woods; three sons, Joe Woods and James Woods, both of Saltville, and Danny Woods, Chilhowie; two daughters, Ann Simms and Patricia Hale, both of Saltville; six brothers, Bill Lamie, Howard Lamie, Ross Lamie, Jim Lamie, Jack Lamie, and Sam Lamie, all of Saltville; one sister, Laura Sue Brown, Bristol, TN; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Levitt
Georgia Kansas Levitt, age 87, died Monday, May 19, 1997 in Smyth County Community Hospital.
Mrs. Levitt was born Oct. 28, 1909. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rovie Levitt, and a son, William "Bill" Levitt.
She is survived by three daughters, Bessie Johnson, Mattie "Sis" Haga, both of Marion, and Elvie Vernon of Atkins; one son, Kermit Levitt of Marion; three sisters, Louise Guy, Marie Puckett, and Elsie Powers, all of Tazewell; two brothers, Thomas Asbury and June Asbury, both of Tazewell; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Debbie Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held today, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-
Brown Chapel with Mr. Robert Tollner officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgedale Cemetery in Rich Valley.

Bonham
Joseph Wayne Bonham, age 72, of Sugar Grove, died Thursday, May 15, 1997 in Smyth County Community Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1924 in West Virginia, the son of Joseph Spurgeon Bonham and Mabel Sheaff. He was a member of Rock Bridge Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Cole Bonham of the home; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda B. Thomas, Marion, and Mary B. and Joe Summit, Rich Valley; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Callie and Robert Timmons, Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Bessie Nelson, Troutdale, and Alice Poole, Fries; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Mary Ruth Bonham, Winston-Salem, N.C., John and Hazel Bonham, Westminister, S.C., and Victor and Lena Bonham, Marion; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m. in the Rock Bridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Ted Bonham and the Rev. Don Medley officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Grove Rescue Squad, Sugar Grove, VA 24375.
