Cornelia P. Brame
FLOYD -- Cornelia "Connie" Pendleton Brame, 79, of Floyd, died Jan. 20, 2006, at her home.
She was born in Meadows of Dan on June 16, 1926, to John Pendleton and Lillie Wood Pendleton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Geneva Roberson, Anniebelle Boyd, Lillian McGuigian and Pearl Hylton.
She retired from Phillip Morris in Richmond.
Surviving are a daughter, Ramona Ayers Murphy of Ridgeway; a son, Wallace Brame Jr. of the home; a sister, Ruth Boyd of Floyd; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Conner family cemetery in Vesta with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating.
Denzil A. Campbell
PATRICK Air Force BASE, Fla. -- Denzil A. Campbell, 64, of Patrick Air Force Base, died Feb. 2, 2006, in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He was born in Mendota, Ill., on March 5, 1941, to Arden Campbell and Faith Fitch Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy S. Campbell.
He was employed by Computer Sciences Raytheon. He was an Eagle Scout and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 318 F/AM in Melbourne, Fla.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff Campbell of Fairfax, Va., and Pete Campbell of Stuart, Va.; a daughter, Kristin Campbell of Mendota; five grandchildren; a brother, Gary Campbell of Mendota; three sisters, Mary Bassing of Ottawa, Ill., Jane Spenader and Martha Schmitt, both of Mendota; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Everly Funeral Home in Fairfax. Burial will be in the National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
The family will receive friends for one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Louise A. Kendrick
DYERSBURG, Tenn. -- The funeral for Louise A. Kendrick, 102, of 452 Drew Road, Dyersburg, who died Feb. 3, 2006, was held Tuesday at Oak Ridge Christian Church in Museville, Va., with Minister Jack Oakes officiating. Burial was in the Kendrick family cemetery.
Pallbearers were Barry Haskins, Wayne Lawrence, Brandon Chism, Ronnie Haskins, Leland Lawrence, Steve Amos, Randolph Lawrence and Trent Haskins.
Community Funeral Services in Ridgeway was in charge of arrangements.
Kathleen G. McMillion
Kathleen Gibson McMillion, 78, of Martinsville, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born in Franklin County on Jan. 26, 1928, to John Bunyan Gibson and Martha M. Crawford Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. McMillion Jr.
She retired from DuPont with more than 40 years of service and was a member of McCabe Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Janice Clem of Roanoke; two granddaughters; two sisters, Mary Cline of Ridgeway and Bunny Rowena Bowman of Woodbridge; a brother, Ted Crawford of Ferrum; one niece; and four nephews.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at McKee-Stone Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Lewis Harris officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends for one and a half hours before the funeral.

The funeral for Charles "David" Cassell, 68, of Bassett, who died Feb. 5, 2006, was held Wednesday at Collins Funeral Services chapel in Bassett with the Rev. Freddie Bonds officiating.
Burial was at Old Spoon Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors and flag presentation by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard.

Wilson Hairston
Wilson Hairston, 76, of 1412 Mountain Road, Martinsville, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.
He was born in Henry County on Aug. 16, 1929, to Sandy Hairston Sr. and Dolly Eggleston Hairston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Colesa Silver; a brother, Sandy Hairston Jr.; and a sister, Christine Ayers.
He had served in the Army and retired from the Henry County School System. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of East Martinsville where he served on the deacon board and was in the male chorus. He was a member of the Knights of Epiphany.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Hairston of the home; a daughter, Sandra
Carter of Gretna; two sons, Kevin Hairston of San Antonio, Texas, and Garnell Hairston of Petersburg; a sister, Shirley Seay of Richmond; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of East Martinsville with the Rev. Charles Whitfield officiating.
Burial will be in Floral Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time for the funeral. At other times, friends will be received at the home.
