Joseph Campagnolo
Joseph Campagnolo of Seal Beach, Cal. died Oct. 4.
He was born Oct. 3, 1936 in New York, N.Y., and taught 5th grade in Los Angeles for 42 years.
Survivors include his sister, Bice Ditaranto of Ashburn; nephew James Ditaranto of Ashburn; nieces Jane Watson of Leesburg and Lena Goreski of Herndon; and two great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Oct. 10, with interment at Chestnut Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were by Adams-

Arthur Joseph Rizzo
Arthur Joseph Rizzo died Oct. 3 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
He was born June 16, 1917 in Calabria, Italy and was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army combat veteran of World War II and saw action in North Africa, the Italian Campaign and the Battle of Monte Cassino. After World War II he was employed by the Department of the Air Force at the Pentagon until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel H. Rizzo of Ashburn; a son, Gary A. Rizzo of Herndon; a brother, James V. Rizzo of Clifton; four sisters, Mary Lutz, Lillian Lotito and Luicille Lotito, all of New Jersey, and Connie Posilarno of Connecticut; and two grandsons, Michael and Joseph Rizzo.
Interment was at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Herndon. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 7203 Poplar St., Annandale, Va. 22003. Arrangements were by Adams-

Esther V. Jones
Esther V. Jones, 84, of Sterling died Oct. 22 at Loudoun Long Term Care.
She was born in Hancock, Md., and served as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She was the widow of the late William F. Jones.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise Conoboy of Rileyville, Va. and Linda
Jones of Sterling, one granddaughter and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30 at Adams-
Green Funeral Home in Herndon, where services will be held at noon Wednesday, Oct. 31. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Northern Virginia, 9300 Lee Highway, Fifth Floor, Fairfax, Va. 22031-1207.
Thelma C. Zier
Thelma C. Zier, 92, a resident of Sterling, died Oct. 22 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
She was born in Washington, DC. and was a retired administrator for a computer firm. She was the widow of the late L. Clifton Zier.
Survivors include her son, Charles Zier of Washington; one granddaughter, Sally Duran of North Carolina; one grandson, Charles Teklinski of Kentucky; a niece, Shirley Peyton and a grand-niece, Debbie Taylor, both of Arlington.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at Congressional Cemetery in Washington, with Dr. Richard Prassel of Sterling Park Baptist Church officiating.
Doris E. Marshall
Doris E. Marshall (Cook) died Oct. 26 at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leesburg. She was born Dec. 7, 1920 in Springfield, Mass., and served two years as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She was married from 1946 to 1978 to Harold P. Marshall (USAF-Ret.), and they were stationed in Germany, France and the United States. She lived in Maryland from 1962 to 1973 before moving to St. Petersburg, Fl. She retired from the National Marine Fisheries Service in 1985 and moved to Virginia in 1995.
Survivors include her children, Gail
Williams of Sterling and Lynn Marshall of Washington, D.C.; a son-in-law, Don Williams; two granddaughters, Jeannette Crow of Chillicothe, Ohio and Heather
Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Kasey Crow.

Helga K. Frazee
Helga K. Frazee, 74, of Sterling died Oct. 30 at Hospice of Northern Virginia.
She was born May 27, 1927 in Germany to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Katharina. She was the widow of the late Limond M. Frazee.

Josie Chiang
Josie Chiang, age 17 months, died Nov. 6 surrounded by her family at her home.
She is survived by her parents, Kant and Lynn Chiang, and a twin brother, Kevin. She was born May 10, 2000.
Services were held Saturday, Nov. 10 at Galilee United Methodist Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Wayne Snead and the Rev. Red Hough officiating.

Ray W. Chamberlain
Ray Whitting Chamberlain, 65, of Ashburn died Nov. 5 at the Hospice of Nothern Virginia.
He was born in Minneapolis, Minn. and was a retired U.S. Army colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Chamberlain of Ashburn; two sons, Mark Chamberlain of St. Paul, Minn. and Christopher Mosio of Bainbridge Island; and four daughters, Julie Kearney of University Park, Md., Diana Lieffring of St. Paul, Terry Nelson of St. Paul, and Monica Poff of Lenoir, N.C.
Visitation time was scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 17 at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Dec. 7 at Fort Myer Chapel, with interment at Arlington National Cemetery. Carum A. Rogers Sr.
Carum A. Rogers Sr., 58, of Reston died Oct. 28 at Reston Hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1942 in Anguilla, British West Indies.
Survivors include his wife, Delinda Daniel Rogers; his daughters Cara (Lee) Abernathy of Sterling and Carette Rogers of Reston; one son, Carum (Carol) Rogers, Jr. of Glenburnie, Md.; two brothers, three sisters, three grand-children, nieces and nephews.

Virginia J. Sturgeon
Virginia J. Sturgeon, 92, died Nov. 1 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Leesburg.
The widow of the late Charles A. Sturgeon, she lived most of her life in St. Louis, Mo., where she worked at JC Penny stores. She was a volunteer leader for the Boy Scouts during the 1950’s.
Survivors include her son, Michael C. Sturgeon of Sterling; a sister, Kathleen Sharpe of St. Louis; one brother, Paul Janis of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; and grandchildren Christina of Ashburn, David of Richmond and Matthew of Sterling.
Funeral services were held Nov. 10 in St. Louis, with interment at Sunset Memorial Park in Affton, Mo.
