Erma Marie Beatrice
Erma Marie Beatrice of Ashburn, 80, died March 26 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
She was born April 5, 1919 in Big Beaver, Pa.
Visitation time is 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg. Services will be held at 3 p.m. with Father Sean Rousseau officiating.
Survivors include her husband, John Anthony Beatrice of Ashburn; two sons, Anthony Beatrice Jr. and wife Betty Beatrice of Columbus, Ohio and John Beatrice Jr. and wife Pam Beatrice of St. John, Ind.; one daughter, Phyllis M. McCauley and husband Chuck McCauley of Ashburn; six grandchildren, Edward Beatrice, Michelle Beatrice, Mike Beatrice, Christine McCauley, Erma McDonough and Bea Neukirk; and two great-grandsons, Devin McDonough and Jared Neukirk.
Grace Stewart Latta
Grace Stewart Latta of Sterling died March 25 at Sunrise at CountrySide.
She was born April 14, 1926 in Pineola, N.C. She was the widow of the late James Clay Latta.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Darby and Danny Darby of The Plains, Va.; her mother, Pauline Stewart of Snellville, Ga.; one brother, Charles E. Stewart of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Patrick, Heather, Christopher and Carrie Darby.
Services and interment are private.
John Walter Zak
John Walter Zak of Sterling died March 15 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
He was born July 16, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio.He was the valedictorian of his graduating class at Central High School. He received a B.A. in physics from St. Louis University and a PhD in physics at Brandeis University. He moved to McLean in 1979 and lived there until 1987. He worked for SAIC after moving to Virginia, and also worked until his death for defense contractors in research and development.
Survivors include his wife, Judith D. Zak of Sterling; his children, Victoria E. Zak, Kelly D. Zak and Allison M. Zak, all of Sterling; his mother, Stephanie Zak of Maumee, Ohio; his brother, Ted J. Zak of Toledo, Ohio; a niece, Lori A. Zak of Toledo; and a nephew, Brian T. Zak of Whitehouse, Ohio.
Services were held March 20 at
Green Funeral Home in Herndon, with interment at Sterling Cemetery.

James T. Jordan
James T. Jordan of Sterling, 85, died March 23 at Woodbridge Nursing Center.
He was a past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council 467, Johnstown, Pa., a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6175 of Sterling, and a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling. He was the retired owner of Jordan’s Store in Johnstown, and a native of Pennsylvania.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Lee Robbins of Sterling; son-in-law Jack A. Robbins; and one sister, Mary Rasbach of Clearwater, Fl. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Thelma Elizabeth Jordan.
A Knights of Columbus service and a service at Christ the Redeemer were held March 27, with Father Michael Daniel officiating. Interment was at Grandview Mauseoleum in Johnston, Pa.
James Walter Keys
James Walter Keys Sr. died March 25, two days before his 55th birthday.
Born in Alexandria, he was retired from Fairfax County EMTA facilities.
Survivors include his wife, Toni A. Keys; one son, James W. Keys Jr. and daughter-in-law Tone L. Keys; and his 12-year-old daughter, Crystal A. Keys.
Services and interment were held at National Memorial Park in Falls Church.
A fund has been established for his daughter, Crystal Keys, in care of Community Bank (No. 103086366) Sterling.
Mary I. Lintner
Mary I. Lintner, 87, of Sterling died April 5 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
A native of Maryland, she was a former executive secretary for a law firm.
Survivors include her sisters, Elinor Kennedy of Sterling and Phoebe L. Myers of Vienna, and seven nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were scheduled for April 10 at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, with the Rev. John R. Ohmer officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Smithsonian Institution, 1000 Jefferson Drive S.W., Washington, D.C. 20560. Arrangements were by Colonial Funeral Home.
Larry Gene Bobbitt
Larry Gene Bobbitt, 37, a statistician at the U.S. Department of Education and a member of the Loudoun County Republican Party, died at his home April 11.
Survivors include his children, Robert Edwin Bobbitt, 8, and Mary Louise Bobbitt, 6; his parents, Bobby and Louise Bobbitt of Herndon; one sister, Lisa Russow of South Riding; one brother, David Bobbitt of Herndon; and his grandmother, Lois Pierce of Montvale, Va.
Funeral services were held April 17 at Colonial Baptist Church in Montvale.A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. April 19 by Pastor Terry Overstreet of Believer’s Baptist Church at Mill’s Recreation Center in Ashburn Village.

John Michael Carney
John Michael (Boston John) Carney of Sterling died April 12 at Fairfax Hospital.
He was born Jan. 14, 1952 in Dorchester, Mass to Mary T. Wambolt Carney and the late John F.Carney. He was an active member of the Vienna Moose Lodge and the Vienna American Legion.
Survivors include his aunts and uncles, Martha Brogna, Daniel S. and Helen Wambolt and Leo and Madelyn Landry; a cousin, Anthony Brogna; and his companion, Maureen Sprague.
A memorial mass was held April 17 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling. Arrangements were by

Helenmarie Drummond
Helenmarie Drummond of Sterling died April 13 at Loudoun Hospital Center.
She was born July 20, 1921 in Portland, Ore., and was preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Cmdr. Paul D. Drummond, USN (Ret.)
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Hepola of Sterling; two granddaughters, Angela Hepola of Herndon and Tina Rose of Mountaintop, Pa.; and a sister, Sharon and husband Leighton Arthur.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, with interment at Riverview Abbey in Portland, Ore. Arrangements are by
