JOHNSON
Departed this life Friday, December 22, 2000, Corey Alexandre Johnson (C-Lo), age 22, a 1997 graduate of Armstrong High School. He leaves to remember his life, Cynthia Greene Johnson, mother; Herman S. Johnson Jr., father; Geraldine Johnson, stepmother; Rebecca Johnson, stepsister; Willie and Ruth Greene, grandparents. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and their families, Gwynneth, Larry and Lorren Knight, Elijah and LaVerne Watkins, Carolyn J. Cook, Charles and Janice Friend West, and many other devoted cousins, relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home, 2100 Fairmount Ave., until Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. when remains will rest at 31st Street Baptist Church, 823 N. 31st St., and where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Darryl Rollins, Pastor, officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.

KIDD
Wallace T. Kidd of South Hill, died December 24, 2000. Survived by his wife, Betty B. Kidd; four sons, Eugene and Wayne, both of Wilmington, N.C., Robert of Tulsa, Okla., and Milton Kidd of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Algie Kidd of Petersburg and J.B. Johnson of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Ruth Sanders of South Hill, Christine Thompson of Alberta and Nan Adams of Richmond; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roland Kidd. Services Wednesday, 11 a.m. in Crowder-Hite-Crews Funeral Home. Interment Crestview Memorial Park. LLOYD
Joseph W. Lloyd, 76, of Center Cross, died Saturday, December 23, 2000. Survived by his wife, Sarah E. Lloyd; one daughter, Brenda Angelini of Richmond; five stepchildren, two devoted, David Howard and Gene B. Brooks, also Wanda Clark, Rose Waters and James E. Brooks; one brother, Harry Byrd Lloyd; one sister, Thelma Parker; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 26, at Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock from 10 a.m. until the service time of 11 a.m. Interment will be 2 p.m. in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Goochland County. MARTIN
Beatrice Morris Martin, 78, of Mechanicsville, formerly of Dunnsville, Va., died Saturday, December 23, 2000. She is survived by her husband, Richard L. Martin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Paul Sanderford and Carolyn and Woody Tanner; a son and daughter-in-law, Capt. John and Kem Martin of Columbia, S.C.; three grandchildren, G. Scot and Heather Tanner and John Richard Martin; two sisters, Louise Bell and Joyce Wright; four brothers, Melvin Tomes, Leonard T. Tomes, Earnie Tomes and Henry Tomes. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, corner of Rt. 301 and Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2000. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

McCANN
Mary Basile McCann born October 20, 1925 in Hopewell, Va., died Sunday, December 24, 2000. She was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Basile, and the widow of Virgil McCann. Mrs. McCann graduated from Hopewell High School, Class of '42. She attended Richard Bland College, graduated from Smithdeal Massey Business College and attended MCV. She was a retired Biostatistician with the Federal Government. She was President of Senior Citizens Advisory Commission, City of Hopewell for many years, she served as vice-Chairman, Board of Directors for Crater Area Agency on Aging for many years, President, Board of Directors, City Point Adult Daycare Center, Board of Directors HPI (Beacon), member of Hopewell Twining Association, Treasurer of Historic City Point Association, member of Hopewell Community Industrial Panel, Charter member Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation since 1984, John Wayne Foundation APVA (Preservation of Antiquities), Army Quartermaster Foundation and Our Lady of Fatima Traditional Catholic Church. She is survived by two brothers, Frank Jeffrey Basile and Anthony (Tony) J. Basile; two sisters, Christine Basile Rose and Janet Basile Beaudet; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening with a Rosary said at 7 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m. at the Gould Funeral Home, Hopewell, where a Requiem Mass will be offered 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by interment in Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, 5217 Futura Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, City Point Adult Daycare Center, 503 Cedar Ln., Hopewell, Va. 23860 (Non-profit Organization) or HPI (Beacon), 401 N. MEALY
Dr. Arthur T. Mealy of Dayton, Ohio, died December 22, 2000. Brother of Fannie Beale and Judge Mealy of Goochland, Alma Johnson and Louise Gilliam of Philadelphia, Pa. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 1 p.m. from the Al Townsend- Jones Bros. Funeral Chapel, 5025 W. Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45427.

MOONEY
Aloysius R. (Dick) Mooney, age 90, of Sandston, passed away Friday, December 22, 2000. He is survived by two children, Mary Vayo and Patrick Mooney; four grandchildren, Ed, Melissa, Joel and Nicole. Mr. Mooney was a retired machinist from AMF, Inc., and was an Army Air Force veteran of WWII. His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 11 a.m. Tuesday, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Interment Washington Memorial Park.

NOBLE
Mrs. Ruth Gertrude Noble of 3806 North Ave., died December 23, 2000. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. Funeral notice later.

NORMENT
Carolyn G. Norment, 67, of Richmond, widow of Robert M. Norment, passed away December 22, 2000. She is survived by her daughter, Stacie N. Ahlin and her husband, Craig of Richmond; two sisters, Frances Gilmer of Chester, and Shirley Miller of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two grandchildren, Brennan and Ryan Ahlin of Richmond. Mrs. Norment was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of Virginia Power and Woody Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or the Tuckhoe Volunteer Rescue Squad.

Kendra Renee Rock, 20, of Ruther Glen, Va., died as a result of an automobile accident on Thursday, December 21, 1000. She is survived by a daughter, Sydney Simone Rock; her parents, Larry and Henrietta Rock; a devoted sister, Carrie Rock-Jackson; one brother-in-law, Casey Jackson; a devoted friend, Randy McDaniel; five aunts, four uncles, and a host of other relatives and very special friends. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, from 1 to 8 p.m. at C.W. Edwards Funeral Home in Bowling Green, Va. SCOTT
Myrtle J. Scott, age 76, died suddenly December 22, 2000 of heart failure. She is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Raymond A. Scott Sr.; six children, R.A. Scott Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Paul Scott, Peggy Scott Edwards, Olin Scott, Lewis Scott and Lisa Scott Kinney, all of Richmond; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Olivia Alley of Florida and Jackie Bishop of Richmond. Mrs. Scott was an active member of a Senior Bowling Team for 19 years. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd. Rev. Steve Dyson, officiating. Family and friends will be received at the Scott residence, Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

SEWARD

TAYLOR
Margaret B. Taylor, 73, of Ashland, died Saturday, December 23, 2000. She was the wife of Clinton W. Taylor and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Karl Osterud; brother and sister-in-law, Richard Bruce and Carol Brown; and several nieces and nephews. Her remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at King's Chapel Presbyterian Church, where Mrs. Taylor will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was a longtime member of King's Chapel Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday school over 50 years, church treasurer for 25 years and elder and clerk of session for ten years. Mrs. Juliette Belle Twitty, age 92, of Cumberland, departed this life on Thursday, December 21, 2000 in Richmond, Va. She is survived by two grandchildren, Stacey Lyons and Charles Haynes; three great-grandchildren; a godson, Ronald Pace; one sister, Elizabeth Nelson; other relatives and friends. Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Second Union Baptist Church, Goochland. Rev. Donald L. Trent, Pastor, officiating, with interment in the church cemetery.

WILLIAMS
Cecil Luck Williams, 90, of Richmond, widow of Joseph David Williams, died Sunday, December 24, 2000. She was an independent living resident of the Masonic Home of Virginia. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Williams Ashburn and John Wesley Ashburn of Winston-Salem, N.C.; granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Susan Faye Ashburn and Sharon Ashburn and Matthew Gregory Knapik, all of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Ernest G. Luck of The Villages, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Eileen T. Luck of Richmond; three nieces, Betty Luck Lambert, Marjorie Haycox Livesay and Nancy Luck Marshall; six nephews, George William Luck, John Wilson Luck, Ronald L. Luck, Ernest Ray Luck, Richard Vaughan Luck and Royden Kenneth Luck Jr.; 21 great-nieces and nephews; 18 great-great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-niece; and a host of devoted friends. She left to her family the legacy of genealogical pursuits, compiling a book of her family history. Mrs. Williams was an active member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church (formerly Fulton Baptist and Montrose Baptist) for 81 years, serving as Sunday school teacher, youth leader and president of Woman's Missionary Union. She organized numerous mission activities, taught sewing classes at inner-city centers and made clothing for needy children and seniors in Appalachia and foreign countries. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and the Virginia Lung Association. Her remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 27 at Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church, 2010 Carlisle Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231.
