Iva Culley, 79, of Richmond, died February 2, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Catherine M. Culley; sister, Nancy Needham; stepson and his wife, George and Belinda Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Culley retired from Pepsi-Cola Co. after 27 years of service. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and where a funeral service will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday. Jane Bell Flynt, 82, of Reedville, died Friday, February 2, 2001. Surviving are her husband, William (Bill) Flynt; sons, Bill and Boyd Flynt, both of Georgia; daughter, Janie Bell Martin of Haymarket; grandchildren, Laura, Nathan, Bo and Joe Flynt; sister, Marguerite Crigler; brothers, Joe, Jimmy and Tom Bell. Robert (Bobby) E. Gammon, 42, of Hartfield, Va., died February 2, 2001. He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Rena Wray of Hartfield; his mother, Shirley A. Gammon of Hartfield; his sister, Susan G. Gantz of Richmond; his brother, Carroll B. Gammon Sr. of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; his adopted brother, Carroll B. Gammon Jr. of Hartfield; and a very special family friend, Larry W. Thompson of Richmond. He was a good friend to everyone and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 10, 2 p.m. at the Pinakatank Shores Civic Clubhouse on Pine View Dr., Pinakatank Shores, Hartfield, Va. Wilbur Warren Gerow Jr., 79, of Richmond, formerly of Lynchburg, died Friday, February 2, 2001. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lanier Thurmond; and a niece, Nan Thurmond Perron. Services and interment at a later date.

Stella Geneva Godwin Griffith, 81, of Richmond, died February 2, 2001. She is survived by a daughter, C. Marie Crawford and husband, Wesley; five grandchildren, Debbie, Mark, Susie, Angie and John; 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; two aunts, Zilla Murdoch of Richmond and Mildred Averett of Raleigh, N.C.; first cousin, Bob and Norma Hill; and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse L. Godwin. The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 6. Eldred Kinkle (Kink) Harding Sr., age 75, passed away on January 29, 2001. He is survived by Pamela Harding of Richmond; a daughter, Heather Lee Harding of Gloucester; a son, Eldred Kinkle Harding Jr. and his wife, Shelia of Varina; a daughter, Ruth Lydia Kimbell of Dinwiddie; and three grandchildren; uncle, Raymond P. Harding of Mechanicsville; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Rader Jenkins of Highland Springs. Mr. Harding was a WWII veteran and the family wishes to express their gratitude to the VA hospital for their wonderful care during his stay. His final resting place will be in Maggie Valley, N.C. KEMP
Bruce Forbes Kemp, 81, of Richmond, died Saturday, February 3, 2001. He was the son of the late George Stevenson Kemp and Annette Word Kemp. Mr. Kemp was educated in Richmond Public Schools and McGuire's University School. He attended Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Virginia, where he was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity and served in the Army Air Force Ground Staff for four years during World War II with foreign service in Eastern India on the border of Central Burma. He was associated with the investment firm of Abbott, Proctor and Paine for many years. Mr. Kemp was a member of River Road Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder. He also served on boards of several charities. He was a member of The Country Club of Virginia and former member of the Downtown Club and the Bull and Bear Club. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Mary Valentine Kemp; one daughter, Elizabeth Taylor Kemp of Richmond; two sons, Bruce Forbes Kemp Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va. and Rev. Dr. Allen Valentine Kemp and wife, Rev. Deborah Miller Kemp of Suffern, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Hannah Valentine Kemp, Micah Miller Kemp and Rachael Kirby Kemp; one sister, Miriam Watt Frischkorn of Richmond. His remains rest at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., where the family will receive friends 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, February 4. Anna Kramer (nee Kingsbury), born in Boston, died at 101 peacefully in her sleep on February 2, 2001 in Richmond. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Max Kramer; dear mother of Ruth Kramer Baden of Newton, Mass., and Dr. William Kramer of Richmond; loving grandmother of Dr. Lynn Baden of Newton, Jeff Baden of Chicago, Ill., Scott Baden of San Diego, Calif., Audrey Hassett of Washington, D.C., Terry Crosby of Mechanicsville, and Bruce Kramer of Richmond. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Flushing, N.Y. LLOYD
Lyman Eugene Lloyd, 80, passed away February 2, 2001. Survivors include a devoted friend, Violet Elliott; daughter, Betty L. Henley; two sons, L. Eugene Lloyd Jr. (Rusty) and Jaime W. Lloyd; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; and a brother, Earl Lloyd of Greensboro, N.C. He was a furrier by trade and worked for Henry R. Haase, Inc. until they closed in 1970. He then was employed at Montaldo's until he retired in 1984. Recently he worked part time for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. He was a veteran of WWII, recipient of the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America and a longtime member of Westover Hills United Methodist Church where a memorial service will be held Monday, February 5, 2001 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or a charity of your choice.
MARTIN
Mrs. Charlotte Britt Martin of Richmond, went to be with the Lord February 3, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Garvin C. Martin; children, Wendellyn M. Romine and her husband, Steve, Dr. Sidney N. Martin and daughter-in-law, Carolyn, Hope M. Chenault and her husband, Keith, and Dr. Lewis P. Martin and his wife, Susan; nine grandchildren, Toni Noel, Michael, Britt, Scott, Aaron, Ryan, Rachel, Stephanie and Abigail. Mrs. Martin worked at Chippenham Hospital for 14 years and was the recipient of the Dr. Frist Humanitarian Award in 1992. She was a longtime teacher and counselor at Bethany Place Baptist Church. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St. Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Monday. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Maury Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Place Baptist Church, 1501 S. Providence Rd.

ODELL
Lee E. Odell, 72, a retired U.S. Army officer, died January 19, 2001, in Salinas, Calif. He was born April 20, 1928 in Rochester, N.Y., and lived in Salinas for 33 years. Mr. Odell graduated from Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, Va., in 1946 and from Virginia military Institute in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and the Vietname War. He retired after 21 years of active duty. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Following his military service he worked as a branch manager with Ferry Morse Seed Company, retiring in 1995. Mr. Odell was a member of the VMI Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife, wife, Betty; five children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
