Tom C. Woodson, 85, of Chase City, died March 13, 2002. He was retired from VDOT and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. James Thomas "Smokey" Allgood, 79, of Boydton, passed away October 29, 2001. He was a member of Christ Chapel Episcopal Church, a member of the VFW in South Hill, a WWII Army veteran and was retired from Burlington Industries. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene M. Allgood; sons and daughters-in-law, James Jr. and Mary Starling Allgood, Alberta, Michael C. and Yvonne Allgood, Chase City; sisters, Pattie Lee Watson, South Hill, Ann Harris and Ethel Watson; one brother, Chambers Allgood, all of Baskerville; grandchildren, Jeff C. Mary Houston Cecil, 89, of Richmond, widow of Frank Ben Cecil, died Sunday, October 28, 2001. She was preceded in death by two children, Barbara Cecil Latham and Robert "Dick" Cecil. Martha A. Downey, 60, of Chester, died October 30, 2001, in MCV Hospital. Mrs. Downey was born in Ashville, N.C., a daughter of the late Acey and Thelma Brank Sizemore. She was a waitress at the Raven Inn. Survivors include her husband, Rylie F. Downey Jr.; four children, Lisa Downey, Rylie "Buck" Downey III, Jerry Downey and Michael Withers; two grandchildren, all of Chester; and several aunts and uncles. Richard Clayton Enemark, 82, was reunited with his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary, on Tuesday, October 30, 2001. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Oliver and her husband, Mark; his son, Richard Enemark and his wife, Nancy; and five grandchildren. He was retired from the New York City Fire Department and had served his country during World War II as a Naval Aviator.
