JORDAN
Nannie M. Jordan, 83, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2001. The widow of Douglas T. Jordan. She is survived by her grandsons, Douglas G. Jr., Jessie J. and Daniel Lee Jordan. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday at Oakwood Cemetery.

KAHLE
Hazel Wood Kahle, 85, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. Beloved wife of the late Humbert S. Kahle; and mother of Walter M. Kahle II, Mary Frances leMat, H. Scott Kahle Jr., Douglas R. Kahle and Cynthia K. Neyland. In addition, she leaves a brother, Clarence R. Wood Jr. of Keystone Heights, Florida; a sister, Frances R. Crockett of Midlothian, Virginia; 13 grandchildren and numerous other relatives to cherish her memory. Hazel was born on June 8, 1915 to Clarence R. Wood and Lillie E. Wood. After graduating from Harrisonburg State Teacher's College, she taught elementary and high school students in Arlington, Va.; Poolesville, Md.; Front Royal, Va.; and Alexandria, Va. After teaching for nearly four decades, Hazel retired in 1972 to Heathsville, Va., where she and her husband Humbert enjoyed restoring their 18th century home. They especially enjoyed spending weekends at their farm in Highland County, Va. Soon after her husband's death in 1986, Hazel returned to her family home in Colonial Heights, Va., where she lived with her late sister, Mary E. Wood. Most recently, she was a resident of Falls Church, Va. Family will receive friends at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26 at Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights, Va. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon. E. Alvin Small Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

KEPHART
Ruth Marie Powers Kephart, 81, of Richmond, died Monday, February 19, 2001. She was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Kephart; two sisters, Mary Barker and Irene Burnett; and one brother, John Powers. Survived by four sisters, Viola Weatherford, Carrie Napier and Althea Smith, all of Richmond, and Inez Perry of Harrisonburg; several nieces and nephews. Remains rest at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen, where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at St. Matthews United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 1706 St. Matthews Lane, Richmond, Va. 23233.

KIDD
Gary Kidd, 55, of Richmond, died February 20, 2001. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Guy Kidd; and six siblings, Richard Kidd, Michael Kidd, Anna Steffy, Mark Kidd, Paul Kidd and Melanie Warden. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment Maury Cemetery.

KING
Departed this life February 21, 2001, Mr. Johnny Bert King Jr. of 2001 Junaluska Cir. and a retired supervisor of Philip Morris. Remains rest at Walter J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N. 25th St. Funeral notice later.

LIPSCOMB
Wirtley T. (Bill) Lipscomb III, 51, of Novato, Calif., died on February 14, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Wirtley and Doris Lipscomb of Powhatan; four brothers and their wives, Warren and Evelyn Lipscomb of Goochland, David and Debbie Lipscomb of Nelson, Dale and Dawn Lipscomb of Louisa, Theodore (Ted) and Susan Lipscomb of Shelton, Conn.; six nephews, Johnathan, Adam, Zachery, Cameron, Theodore (T.J.) and Christopher; five nieces, Suzette, Christine, Maggan, Amanda, and Samantha; and four grandnieces. Bill's first 31 years were in Powhatan. He was a graduate of Huguenot Academy and Virginia Commonwealth University, a charter member and Secretary of Powhatan Moose Lodge, and a Jaycee Senator. His last 20 years were in Novato, Calif., where he was a System Analyst for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. until retirement. He was a member of the Shakespearean Club and represented the Protection and Advocacy Management for the state of California. Memorial contributions may be made to Disability Rights Enforcement Education Services (Helping you help others), 164 N. San Pedro Rd. C-103, San Rafael, Calif. 94903. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the Graceland Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment private.

McADAMS
The Lord picked the rose of Cheyenne Marie McAdams for His garden on February 18, 2001. She is survived by her loving parents, Troy Shane and Tammy L. McAdams Sr.; brothers, Troy Shane Jr. and Aaron S. McAdams; grandparents, Johnnie and Mary Lehner, and Yvonne and William Strickland; aunts, Angela Sinisi, Mary Satter, Shelby Bishop, Janice Obrigewitsch, and Bambi Weeks; uncles, Barry Mills, Everette Mayes, Michael McAdams Jr., and K.C. Hardin Jr.; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd. (Rt. 10), and where funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Sunset Memorial Park.

MELTON
Trudy Barnette Melton, 45, of Rockville, Va., passed away February 20, 2001, following a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Everett G. Melton Jr.; two sons, Jay A. and Ben T. Melton, all of Rockville; her parents, Edwin and Opal Barnette; and maternal grandmother, Mabel Warbington, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two sisters, Connie Reynolds and husband, Tom of Richmond, Bobbie Stark and husband, Gene of Tuscaloosa; two brothers, Glenn Barnette and wife, Lis of Dallas, Texas, and Curtis Barnette of Tuscaloosa. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Calvary Christian Church Cemetery, Glen Allen, Va.

MOODY
George Ashleigh Moody Jr., 80, of Colonial Heights, died Monday, February 19, 2001, at his residence. He was the son of the late George Ashleigh Sr. and Madeline E. Smith Moody. Mr. Moody was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Colonial Heights Ward; served in the US CCC from 1936-1937 in Co. No. 350, the Shenandoah Chapter of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He belonged to the Richmond Local Sheet Metal Workers Union. He served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Petersburg Grays Co. G. 176th Infantry, 29th Division, then served in the US Merchant Marines overseas during World War II, having been on the S.S. Fitzhugh Lee. Mr. Moody was a member of American Legion Post No. 284, VFW Post No. 2239 and the DAV. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Kersten Moody; a son, George Ashleigh Moody III of Petersburg; a daughter, Joyce Maxwell of Prince George; three grandsons, Ashleigh R. Moody II, Daniel K. Moody and Dan Maxwell; two granddaughters, Susan Humphries and Sarah Maxwell; a great-grandson, Ethan Humphries; two brothers, Frank E. Moody of Laurel, Md., and Rev. John P. "Jack" Moody of Center Cross, Va.; three nieces and one nephew. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, February 23, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Amelia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, with the Rev. John P. Moody officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights. An American Legion service will be 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the local chapter of Disabled American Veterans.

Miss Tyler Marie Nash, age 12, daughter of Grady W. and Susan T. Nash, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at her residence. Arrangements are pending at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen.

ORTIZ
Infant Gabriel Guadalupe Ortiz of Overlook Street died February 20, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Roberto Ortiz and Crystal Hall; sisters and brothers, Caralena, Brianna, Byron, Austin and Ramiro; maternal grandparents, Carolyn and Jose Giraldo; paternal grandparents, Ramiro and Guadalupe Ortiz. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday night at K.L. Jordan Funeral Services, 5008 Nine Mile Rd. Burial will be private. K L JORDAN

Shirley Comer Powell, 57, of Richmond, died February 20, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Charles C. Powell Sr.; sons, Charles C. Powell Jr. and Tom Powell; four grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Madisen and Ryland Powell; and her church family at Beulah United Methodist Church where she was a member. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Beulah United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Maury Cemetery.

Jeralde E. Robinson of 3516 Delaware Ave. entered eternal rest February 16, 2001. Frank Russinsky, 78, of Richmond, died February 21, 2001. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday at the Chapel of Richmond Beth-El Cemetery at Forest Lawn.

SIGMUND
Edward Lee "Eddie" Sigmund, 53, of Sandston, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Florence Hensley-Sigmund; his son, Robert L. Shooks; two stepdaughters, Florence and Diane; two stepsons, Gregory and Anthony; two brothers and their wives, Herbert and Eva Sigmund, and Arthur and Susan Sigmund; a sister, Barbara Sigmund; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; also a devoted aunt, Helen Hodges; and many nieces and nephews. His remains rest at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, and where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24. STEPHENSON
George Hiram Stephenson, age 76, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001. He was actively employed at Miller Manufacturing Co. Survivors include two sons, Gregory Scott Stephenson of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Jeffrey Owen Stephenson of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Stephenson and Jeffrey Scott Stephenson; one sister, Ruth S. Swan of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry H. and Margaret P. Stephenson; one sister, Anna Laura Halsted; and one brother, Jackson H. Stephenson. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., Glen Allen, prior to the funeral service, which will be held at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Westhampton Memorial Park.

STEVENSON
Died February 18, 2001, Theressa L. Stevenson. She is survived by two sons, DeWarren K. and MuShaune X. Stevenson; three grandchildren; father, Maurice Tillman; brother, Michael W. Stevenson; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives. Remains rest at the Chiles Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. from Moore Street Baptist Church. Dr. Alonza Lawrence officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
