Peggy Ann Cordo, 62, of Chesterfield, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001, at Chippenham Medical Center, Richmond. She was the daughter of the late Nathan Bennett Osborne and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Joe Cordo; a daughter, Vickie Ann Park of Danville; a son, Joey Cordo of Chesterfield; five grandchildren, Chrissy Park, Kim Park, Raymond Park Jr., Christopher Cordo and Cody Cordo; her mother, Beulah Osborne of Lake Wales, Fla.; three brothers, Wilton Osborne of Charles City, John Osborne of Haydensville, Va., and Jimmy Osborne of Lake Wales, Fla. A Christian prayer service will be held Saturday, February 24, 2001, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, with Fr. William Nolte officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robin McGowan Fisher Epps, age 46, of Tennessee, formerly of Goochland, Va., died Monday, February 19, 2001. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Harry Jacquelyn "Jackie" Fisher. She was the daughter of the late William Barbour Fisher Sr. She is survived by her mother, Hazel Hagen Lang; two daughters, Lisa Faye Cochran and her husband, Timothy, and Amy Jean Dandridge and her husband, John Sr.; also three grandchildren, Tabatha Lorraine Cochran, John and Jacob Dandridge; also her brother, William B. Fisher Jr.; her sister, Sharon "Vickie" Marchioro. Remains rest Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Perkins Baptist Church, Fife, Va. Interment church cemetery. Our dear Robin will rest in peace now.
FERRELL
Walter J. (Bally) Ferrell, age 81, of Powhatan, died on February 17, 2001. He was a native of Clover, Va., and resided in Powhatan for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Kitty Ferrell; one daughter, Linda Rose; two sons, Gerald Ferrell Sr. and Johnny Ferrell; three sisters, Catherine Fallen, Mozelle Seay and Louise Darlington; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held February 23, 2001, 10 a.m. at Faith Freewill Baptist Church, Genito Rd., Powhatan, Va. Mr. Ferrell was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during WWII.
FINCH
Annabelle Virginia Allen Finch, 91, a long-time Richmond resident and wife of the late Plynn Jerald Finch, died February 20, 2001, in Richmond. She was born April 9, 1909, in Clarksville, Tenn., and spent her childhood in Richmond, Rocky Mount, N.C., Wilmington, N.C., Beverly, W.Va., and Huntington, W.Va., as her Presbyterian minister father moved the family from church to church. She served as stenographer and then secretary with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Huntington and Cleveland, Ohio. She moved to Richmond in 1947 when her husband was transferred here by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway following his service in a U. S. Army railway operating battalion in World War II. He was transferred by the C&O to Huntington in 1962, but after his death there in 1965, she returned to Richmond and worked as a legal secretary. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church and was a founding member of Tuckahoe Presbyterian Church. She formerly was a member and a past president of the River Road Hills Garden Club, a member of the Tuckahoe Woman's Club and the Stonewall Jackson Chapter of the Daughters of Confederate Veterans. She is survived by two sons, James Phillips Finch of Sarasota, Fla., and Jerald Allen Finch of Richmond; daughter-in-law, Nancy St. Clair Finch of Richmond; grandchildren, Laura Plynn Finch of Richmond, Allen St. Clair Finch and his wife, Rosa Rodriguez Finch, of Alexandria, and Thomas Tynes Finch of Staunton; and a sister, Eva Ruth Allen Cowden of Evensville, Tenn. Another grandchild, Jerald Kelly Finch, died in 1994. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 24, at 11 a.m. in Hollywood Cemetery. Mason Harman Fullerton, 76, of Richmond, died February 19, 2001. She was the daughter of the late Leroy C. and Virginia Coleman Harman and was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Lee Harman. She is survived by her husband, Colonel John C. Fullerton Jr. (USA Ret.); daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Preston Simpson; two sons and daughters-in-law, John C. III and Beth Fullerton and Major David Harman and Kathy Fullerton; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Peggy Harman of Richmond and Jean Carpenter of Montpelier, Vt. Her remains rest at Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where the family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Lila Bell George, age 70, widow of Charles Thomas George, died Wednesday, February 21, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Kathy G. Canning; one son, Thomas K. George; two sisters, Dorothy Sellars and Donna Ellis; one brother, Robert G. Bell; three grandchildren, David A. Canning, Charles W. and Niki Lee George; three great-granddaughters, Meagan, Brenna and Sarah Canning; and numerous nieces and nephews. Claude L. "Lindy" Hicks, age 73, of Sandston, died Tuesday, February 20, 2001. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley A. Hicks; three daughters, Claudia H. "Cookie" Cage of Bumpass, Va., Cynthia "Cindy" Hicks Luck, Juliet "Julie" Eleanor Hicks, both of Sandston; two grandchildren, Ashley Nicole Luck and Courtney Taylor Cage; also two sisters, Joyce Ann Baskette and Frances Wingo, both of Mechanicsville. Mr. Hicks was retired from The Richmond Times-Dispatch, with 36 years of service. Remains rest Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Roland Bradford Hill, 53, of San Jose, Calif., entered into eternal rest at Kaiser Hospital, San Francisco, Calif., on February 14, 2001. Roland was an operations manager at Levitz Furniture for 30 years. Loving husband of Geraldine; father of Bradford and Jennifer; grandfather of DeVaughan; devoted son of the late Robert and Elnora Hill; brother of Dorothy H. Hudgins, Ruth H. Watkins (Herbert), Margaret H. Black (George), all of Richmond, Va. Preceded in death by his only brother, Robert Hill Jr.; and a host of relatives and many out-of-state friends. Bernice C. Howard, 93, of Ruther Glen, died February 21, 2001. She was the widow of Broaddus L. Howard. She is survived by her daughter, Ethel Gayle; her granddaughter, Barbara Covington and her husband, Larry; her great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Joshua Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Howard was a school teacher in Hanover County, last teaching at Hanover Academy. She was an active member of Berea Baptist Church.
