David H. Travis
The funeral for David "Bubba" Harvey Travis, 59, of Collinsville, who died Nov. 20, 2005, was held Wednesday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Conner officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park.
Pallbearers were Tony Stanford, Frank Lawson, Ronald Webb, Lee Gibson, Lee Morris, Joseph Daugherty, Jeff Schultz and David Naylor.
Sue F. Turner
The funeral for Sue Fannon Turner, 79, of 50 Maid Marian Court, Bassett, who died Nov. 21, 2005, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bassett Memorial United Methodist Church. The Revs. Alan Follett and Jim Meredith will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Services.

Turner was born in Bluefield, W.Va., on May 10, 1926, to Wade O. Fannon and Muriel Davis Fannon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Fannon Peery.
She graduated from McLain Business School in Bluefield, and after coming to Henry County worked as an assistant cashier at First Bassett Bank and Trust for a period. She retired from Dominion Bank after 35 years with the banking institutions.
She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother, and was a member of Bassett Memorial United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School and was active in the Women's Missionary Union.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas G. "Tommy" Turner of the home; and a son, Thomas W. "Tommy" Turner of Charlotte, N.C.
Robert Wingfield Sr.
Robert W. "Big Wayne" Wingfield Sr., 63, of Collinsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at his home.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Bassett Funeral Service.
Donald S. Wyatt
Donald S. Wyatt, 78, of 6981 Abram Penn Highway, Patrick Springs, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at R.J. Reynolds Patrick Memorial Hospital in Stuart.
A native of Ashe County, N.C., he was born on Feb. 15, 1927, to Sanford E. Wyatt and Rosa Mae Larimer Wyatt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Wyatt; and three sisters, Ruth Marie Wyatt and infant sisters, Virginia Mae Wyatt and Mattie Lou Wyatt.
He served in World War II, after enlisting in both the Navy and Marines. Wyatt worked at Dupont for 40 years before retiring. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Irene Cooper Wyatt of the home; two daughters, Melissa W. Oliver of Bassett and Regina W. All of Ridgeway; a son, Donald Bradley Wyatt of Arlington; a sister, Violet W. Hopkins of West Jefferson, N.C.; seven brothers, Paul Wyatt of Baltimore, Md., Earl Wyatt of Jefferson, Clyde Wyatt of Mooresville, N.C., Gwyn Wyatt of Carolina Beach, N.C., Arveson Wyatt of West Jefferson, Carl Wyatt of Patrick Springs and Robert Wyatt of West Jefferson; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday at Howell Funeral Home at Stuart with Elder Paul Clark officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Howell Funeral Home.

Florence G. Amos
Florence Gauldin Amos, 85, of Ridgeway, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Blue Ridge Rehab Center.
She was the daughter of George Clay Gauldin and Emily Hall Gauldin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie L. Amos; an infant daughter, Anna Lee Amos; a son, William R. Amos; a sister, Edna Gauldin; and six brothers, Harry Gauldin, Fred Gauldin, Oakley Gauldin, Wade Gauldin, Ernest Gauldin and Willard Gauldin.
She was a homemaker and attended West End Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Amos Wright of Ridgeway; a son, Kenneth E. Amos of Danville; a brother, Homer L. Gauldin of Danville; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three step-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
A greveside service will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Hillcrest Burial Park with the Rev. June Haislip officiating.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home in Chatham.
Arnold M. Donavant
The funeral for Arnold McKinley Donavant, 81, of Newport News, who died Nov. 20, 2005, was held Friday at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. The Revs. Albert Robertson and Dean Ashby officiated. Burial was in Roselawn Burial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the Martinsville-Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. The flag presentation was made by 2nd Lt. Jonathan Clark and Sgt. 1st Class Jennifer Walker of the 80th Training Division in Salem.
Pallbearers were Chad Donavant, Dave Donavant, Randy Donavant II, Mitchell Donavant, Earl Donavant, Billy Donavant, Shannon Donavant, Hannah Donavant, Eddie Reynolds and Dennis Johnston.
Grover Dudley
Grover Dudley, 82, of Martinsville, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville.
He was born in Moneta on April 6, 1923, to Emmit Dudley and Mellie Gill Dudley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Maurice Dudley; two sisters, Eula Holland and Cobea Scott; and two brothers, William Dudley and Fougle Dudley.
He worked for E.I. DuPont for 33 years and was a member of Halesford United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Dudley of the home; three daughters, Yolanda Niblett, Phyllis Wimbush and Tammy Dillard, all of Martinsville; two sisters, Ethel Christian of Jamaica, N.Y. and Beula
Johnson of Richmond; two brothers, Guy Dudley of Rocky Mount and Charles Dudley of Moneta; three stepsons, Kevin Morris of Warrensburg, Mo., and Timothy Morris and Steven Morris, both of Martinsville; 17 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stanfield-Miller Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. J.D. Holland officiating. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for one hour before the funeral and at other times at the home.
Karen H. Galloway
The funeral for Karen Denise Hightower Galloway, 27, of Reidsville, who died Nov. 23, 2005, was held Friday at Fellowship Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ with Bishop Phillip Calloway officiating. Burial was in Carver Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were Coy Kirby, James Adams, Jim Hairston, Billy Shepherd, Carlos Trotter and Calvin Burgess.

The funeral for Fred W. Gilley, 92, of Preston Road, Martinsville, who died Nov. 20, 2005, was held Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church with Minister George Harris officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Clifton, Jackie Clifton, Travis Wilkins, Craig O'der, Gary Pollock and Shawn Prillaman.

A graveside service for Gladys Florence Emerson Hardie, 81, of Ridgeway, who died Nov. 22, 2005, was held Friday at Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. Cletus Lackey officiating.

The funeral for Nova Shelor Hundley, 86, of Bassett, who died Nov. 22, 2005, was held Friday at Fort Trial Baptist Church with Dr. Joey McNeill and the Rev. Jim Alsop officiating. Burial was in Henry Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were John Hundley, Mark Hundley, Leon Harris, Roger Harris, Donnie Trantham and Carl Dodson.
