Joseph D. Cheatham Jr., age 58, of Chester, died January 1, 2002. He is survived by his children, Tina Hudson of Chesterfield, Clifton Cheatham of Powhatan, Kevin Cheatham of Midlothian, Kathy Ayers of Jetersville; his mother, Thelma Cheatham of Richmond; one sister, Flora "Tootsie" Cosby; three grandchildren, Tyler, Stephen and Christopher. Mr. Cheatham was employed by Hancock Service Center. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy, 3400 Turner, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2002. CORNELL
Rodney Keith Cornell, 48, of King William, died Tuesday, January 1, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Custalow Cornell; his stepson, James Randall Howard and his wife, Joanne; two stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth Rachael and William Christian Howard, all of Remlik, Va.; his sister, Nancy Nichols and her husband, David; one niece, Erin Taylor and her husband, Cliff; one greatniece, Hannah Taylor, all of West Virginia. Mr. Cornell was the production control manager of SouthTech, Inc., Tappahannock, Va., for the past 12 years. His remains rest at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee Davis Rd., where the family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (tonight) and where services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2002. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Va. 23060.

CRAWLEY
Margaret L. Crawley, 79, of Richmond, died Monday, December 31, 2001. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Winston Crawley; son, Winston Crawley Jr.; daughters, Anne Fairchild and Joy Bazemore; grandchildren, Allyson White, Winston Crawley III, Gabriel Hesson, Grace, Shelley, Hillary, and Heather Bazemore. The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Derbyshire Baptist Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lakewood Manor Baptist Retirement Community.

CRUMP
Edward E. Crump Sr. of Richmond died on Tuesday, January 1, 2002. He is survived by his children, Edward, Chris, Harry and Rose Marie Crump; and five grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday (today) at Dale Memorial Park.

DAVIS
Departed this life December 30, 2001, Mrs. Dorothea Ellison Davis of 1712 N. 19th Street. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy B. and Wendell Ellison Sr.; and son, Andre Davis. She is survived by three daughters, Joylynn Givens, D. Laverne and Ronunda Davis; one son, Henry C. Davis Jr.; adopted daughter, Lillian Cammack; 12 grandchildren, among them Andrea L. Turner; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Wendell Ellison Jr.; one nephew; a host of cousins; one son-in-law, Herman E. Givens; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law and other relatives and friends, among them devoted David Souels; extended family and Henry C. Davis Sr., father of her children. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral 1 p.m. Friday at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Earl M. Brown, pastor, officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Friday.

DILLARD
Departed this life January 2, 2002, Mr. Kee P. Dillard of Richmond. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving his family.

DRAPER
Emily L. Draper, 91, of Chesterfield, passed away Monday, December 31, 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Draper. She is survived by several special friends who were dear to her. Special thanks are extended to the nursing staff at Lucy Corr Village, Bermuda Station. Graveside services will be held Friday 12 noon at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

DUNTON
Berkeley West Dunton, 84, of Pungoteague, Va., died on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 at Ashland Convalescent Center in Ashland, Va. She was the daughter of the late Berkley L. West and Elizabeth Shrieves West and the widow of the late Ernest Lynwood Dunton Jr. She is survived by three children, Ann Dunton Rice of Richmond, Va., Ernest L. Dunton III of Hampton, Va. and Robert W. Dunton of Exmore, Va.; a sister, Kathryn W. Lewis of Parksley, Va.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dunton was a member of Pungoteague Community Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 5 at 2 p.m. at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, Va. Interment Hollies Church Cemetery, Rev. Tammy Estep officiating. The family will join friends at the funeral home one prior of service. Memorials may be made to Pungoteague Community Church, P.O. Box 3, Pungoteague, Va. 23422. Arrangements by Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, Va.

FISKE
Russell H. Fiske Sr., 85, of Richmond, died Tuesday, January 1, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Andresen Fiske; his son, Russell H. Fiske Jr.; and his daughter, Kristin JoEllen Fiske. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Fiske Wehrle; his son, Eric K.G. Fiske; seven grandchildren; one brother, Franklin H. Fiske; and one sister, Josephine G. Fiske. Mr. Fiske was born in Greenfield, Mass. and graduated from the University of Michigan Pharmacy School. He began work at the Medical College of Virginia in 1940. Mr. Fiske was the Director of Hospital Pharmacy until 1967, when he became Associate Professor of Pharmacy, retiring in 1981. After retirement, Mr. Fiske continued at MCV as a volunteer for the next 20 years. He was a past president of the Virginia Society of Hospital Pharmacists. Mr. Fiske was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the Lodge of Strict Observance No. 207, AF&AM, and Washington Royal Arch Chapter No. 9. Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave., where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 12 noon Friday, January 4, at First English Lutheran Church. Interment in Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Volunteer Office at MCV Hospital or First English Lutheran Church.

FOSTER
Joyce A. Foster, 72, of Richmond, widow of Floyd Eugene Foster Jr., died January 1, 2002. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane B. Foster, and is survived by her son, F.E. "Chip" Foster III and his wife, Marilou of Staunton, Va.; two daughters, Joan F. Hubbard of Atlanta, Ga., Natalie F. McNiel and her husband, John of Richmond; brother, James Herbert Agner Jr. of Waxhow, N.C.; two sister, Peggy McClure of Stuarts Draft, Va. and Martha McKay of West End, N.C.; also four grandchildren, Reed and Meredith Foster, Greg and Kent Hubbard. Mrs. Foster was a member of Three Chopt Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd. Memorial service will be held Thursday, 11 a.m., at Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church, A graveside service will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

FRAZIER
Marian K. Frazier, 69, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 1, 2002. She is survived by her son, Mark P. Frazier and his wife, Deborah; two sisters, Glenna Schmick and Margaret Keeton; three sisters-in-law, Myrtle King, Doris B. King and Doris King Williams; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Kimberly Frazier; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Frazier was a legal secretary for over 40 years to Howard W. Dobbins. She was also a member of Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church and the Chesterfield Chapter No. 139, Order of the Eastern Star. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Rd., where the family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. and where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday. Interment Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

HARBAUGH
Bessie Louise Harbaugh, widow of Luther W. Harbaugh, died December 26, 2001. She is survived by a son, Luther W. "Lou" Harbaugh Jr.; a grandson, Luther W. "Bill" Harbaugh III; a granddaughter, Michelle R. Harbaugh; and a sister, Gladys E. Hancock. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Oakwood Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in her name to the Missionary Fund at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3601 Monument Ave., Richmond, Va. 23230. HUMPHREY
Edward Joseph Humphrey, 87, died on January 1, 2002. A retired Presbyterian minister, he was a graduate of Davidson College and of Richmond's Union Theological Seminary. During the 1950's and 1960's, he served as pastor of the Westminster, River Road, and Forest Hill Presbytery, now the Presbytery of the James. An infantry officer during World War II, he was a retired lieutenant colonel, United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 63 years. Ann Boatwright Humphrey; daughter, Ann Humphrey Sanders of Richmond, her husband, Wellford L. Sanders Jr., and grandchildren Ann Lorraine Sanders and Wellford L. Sanders III. A graveside service will be held in Wilmington, N.C. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bon Secours Hospice, Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, 5857 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23286-3058.

JOHNSON
Leola M. Johnson, age 49, of 1851 Southlawn Ave., Richmond, departed this life, December 29, 2001 in Williamsburg Va. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Joseph Johnson; one daughter, Barbara Jordan and son-in-law, Terance Jordan; two stepsons, McCarthy and Thomas Johnson; two grandchildren, Troy and Tyrone Jordan; four sisters; devoted cousin, Rosa Lee. The family will receive friends Friday night 6 to 8 p.m. at K.L. Jordan Funeral Services, 5008 Nine Mile Rd. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday January 5, 2001 at Northside Crusader Baptist Church, 2901 Fourth Ave., officiating Rev. John Tyler. Interment at Maury Cemetery. K L JORDAN

KELLY
Passed away January 1, 2002, Evelyn Griffin Donati Kelly, 86, of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Columbus B. Donati Jr. and Fred Patrick Kelly, and her eldest son, Stanley B. Donati; children, Evelyn D. Geffert and her husband, William, Barbara D. Simons and her husband, John, DuWane M. Donati and his wife, Susan and Brian C. Simons and his wife, Migdalia; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Rose G. Zdanowicz and her husband, Daniel. The family will receive friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bliley Funeral Home's Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Road, and where a Christian Wake will be held at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Kelly was member of Our Lady of Lourdes for over 30 years and was formerly a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Memorial gifts may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes or St. Patrick's Catholic Churches.

KENNARD
Guthrie Shelby Kennard III, 77, of Richmond, Va. and Dallas, Texas, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2001. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elisabeth W. Kennard; eight children, Alice Wells and her husband, Scott, Guthrie S. Kennard IV and his wife, Linda, Michael E. Kennard, John Thomas Kennard and his wife, Lisa, Rosalie Holladay and her husband, Terry, William T. Kennard and his wife, Patty, Miriam Delaney and her husband, Scott and Guthrie S. Kennard V and his wife, Crystal; 17 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Kennard was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and regional manager for Best Products. He opened the first Best Products Store in Dallas, Texas, and was with the company from 1961 until his retirement in 1986. He was also a WWII veteran who served in England, flying 35 missions with the Eighth Army Air Corps, 91st Airborne Division. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the West End Assembly of God, 401 Parham Rd., with interment to follow the service in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Hospital Hospitality House Family Assistance Fund, P.O. Box 10090, Richmond, Va. 23240 or the American Lung Association of Virginia.
