Sherri Anne Herrick, 33, died February 15, 2001. Survivors include her husband, Brett Herrick; children, Christopher, Amanda, Brittany and Kaitlyn Greiner, and Tyler Herrick; parents, Donald and Carol Greiner; siblings, Dwayne, Tamara, Donnie and Melissa; and grandmother, Junita Creed. KOONCE
Mitchell Koonce, 90, of Kinston, N.C., died Wednesday, February 14, 2001. He was a retired farmer from Clarks, N.C. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Koonce; three brothers, David, Gene and Lonnie Koonce; and one sister, Mildred Hercsuth. Survivors include a daughter, Mildred Koonce Parsons of Goldsboro, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jane Koonce of Kinston, N.C., with whom he resided; daughter and son-in-law, Frances Koonce and Leon Waters of Aiken, S.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dianne Koonce of Richmond, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Koonce and Linwood
Johnson of Grifton, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at 2579 Brookwood Rd. in Kinston. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Cotten Funeral Home in New Bern, N.C., with the Reverend Tim Odom and Reverend Elbert Barrow officiating. LARREA
Antonia Estrada vda de Alfredo Larrea, 94, died February 16, 2001 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Larrea was a native of La Paz, Bolivia, one of 12 children of the late Julio and Juanna Chinel Estrada. A homemaker, faithful wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she had been a resident of Franklin, the past 12 years after residing in Richmond for many years. Survivors include two daughters, Juan L. Forgalde of Richmond and Nellie L. Hassett and her husband, Harry of Franklin; four grandchildren, Rene Forgalde, Nellie F. Withers, Maria V.
Jones and John Forgalde; seven great-grandchildren, Edgar, Thomas and Elizabeth Jones, Jarman and Ellis Forgalde and Andrew and Julio Withers. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Roy DeBrand and the Rev. Sharon James officiating. The burial will be at Poplar Spring Cemetery. Wirtley T. (Bill) Lipscomb III, 51, of Novato, Calif., died on February 14, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Wirtley and Doris Lipscomb of Powhatan; four brothers and their wives, Warren and Evelyn Lipscomb of Goochland, David and Debbie Lipscomb of Nelson, Dale and Dawn Lipscomb of Louisa, Theodore (Ted) and Susan Lipscomb of Shelton, Conn.; six nephews, Johnathan, Adam, Zachery, Cameron, Theodore (T.J.) and Christopher; five nieces, Suzette, Christine, Maggan, Amanda, and Samantha; and four grandnieces. Bill's first 31 years were in Powhatan. He was a graduate of Huguenot Academy and Virginia Commonwealth University, a charter member and Secretary of Powhatan Moose Lodge, and a Jaycee Senator. His last 20 years were in Novato, Calif., where he was a System Analyst for the Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. until retirement. He was a member of the Shakespearean Club and represented the Protection and Advocacy Management for the state of California. Anthony Wayne Logsdon, 48, of Chester, died February 15, 2001. He is survived by his parents, Vincent W. and Betty J. Logsdon; sister, Lou Ann Wargofcak and her husband, Joe, brothers, Michael D. Dorothy W. "Grandma" Lowery, 95, of Powhatan, widow of Phillip B. Lowery Sr., died February 16, 2001. She is survived by two sons, Philip B. Lowery Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Powhatan and Charles E. Lowery of Amelia; a daughter-in-law, Dot Lowery of Powhatan; a sister, Margaret Peisel of Glen Allen; ten grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, W.C. "Snooks" Lowery. The family will receive friends today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. Patricia B. Moore, 65, of Richmond, died Thursday, February 15, 2001. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Moore; an uncle, George J. Bailey; an aunt, Marie Minneville, both of Abbeville, Louisiana; and a number of cousins. PERKINS
Mr. Harry H. Perkins, 81, of Richmond, died Thursday, February 15, 2001. He was born in Hanover County, July 18, 1919, the son of the late Walter Reams and Annie Faris Perkins. He was a 1938 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School, attended Smithdeal Massey Business College, where he studied business law and related insurance subjects. He began his insurance career at the former Virginia Fire and Marine Insurance Co. in the late 30s. He served in World War II in the Air Corps as a control tower operator in the Aleutian Islands for two and a half years, after which he went to work in 1947 for Traveler's Insurance Co. and retired in 1974. He then went to work for the Raymond Andrews Insurance Agency and worked there for approximately 20 years. Mr. Perkins was a 40-year member of River Road Church, Baptist, former deacon and member of the Rueben Alley Bible Class. He was a life member of Tuckahoe Masonic Lodge No. 347 AF&AM. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lucille J. Perkins; a son, Dr. H. Lee Perkins, both of Richmond; a niece, Betty Ann Grabowski of Midlothian; a nephew, Dr. W. Reams Perkins Jr. of McLean; several great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Rd., from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, in the chapel of River Road Church, Baptist. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park. Reginald C. "Buddy" Reilly, 65, of Richmond, went to eternal rest Thursday, February 15, 2001. Left to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Jacqueline Ford Reilly; two daughters, Pattie and husband, Bill Armstrong, Marsha and husband, Rick Pillow; one son, Charles and wife, Ana Reilly; six grandchildren, Evan and Holly Armstrong, Whitney and Jacob Pillow, Kaitlin and Brandon Reilly; two sisters, Kitty Reilly and Mary Ann and husband, Roger Griffith; one brother, Patrick Joseph and wife, Katherine Reilly; and several nieces, nephews, and their families. Mr. Reilly was retired from Colonial Mechanical Corp., was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, and served with the 82nd Airborne. He was a dedicated and wonderful family man and will be missed by his family, his many friends, and his devoted friend, Tom Hoof. Floyd Allen Roberts Sr., also known as Pretty Boy Floyd, passed away on February 15, 2001, at the age of 71 to be with our Lord after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Peggy; his three children, Floyd Allen Roberts Jr. (Dickie) and his wife, Jeannine, Deloris Russ and her husband, Jesse, and Carolyn Davis. He also leaves to cherish his memory five beautiful grandchildren, Scott, Paula, Brian, Keri and Stacey. Other survivors include many loving and caring family members and friends. Edward O. Santucci of Richmond died February 16, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline S. Santucci; his sister, Lillian S. White; his nephews, Christopher White, and Thomas D. White and his wife, Terry, and their three sons. Mr. Santucci was a graduate of Benedictine and the University of Richmond. He served with the 15th Air Force in Italy during WWII and retired from V.C.U. He was a current member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, TROA, the Serra Club of Richmond, the "B.L.I.B. Veteran's Corps," was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital, and was on the board of St. Francis Home. His remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Augusta Chapel, 3801 Augusta Avenue, where the family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, and where a Christian Wake will be held at 4 p.m. Private funeral services will be conducted Monday.
