Louise McMillon
The funeral for Louise Overby Wilson McMillon, 61, of 6 Milton Ave., will be conducted 2 p.m. today at Shepherd Baptist Church, Route 700, by the Rev. Hubert Evans. Burial will be in Danview cemetery, Eden, N.C.
She died at her home Friday afternoon, Nov. 15, 1996.
Born Nov. 4, 1935, in Draper, N.C., she was a daughter of Russell J. Overby and Doshie Lawrence Overby.
She spent most of her life in Danville, where she was a homemaker. She was first married
to Robert Wilson, who preceded her in death. She later was married
to John Robert McMillon, who is predeceased.
She was a member of Shepherd Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Vickie Overby of Danville; two sons, Johnny J. Wilson of Danville and Thomas Keith Wilson of Brosville; four sisters, Frances Hill of Ruffin, N.C., Irene Evans and Myrtle Giles, both of Pelham, N.C., and Joy Martin of Reidsville, N.C.; three brothers, Jim Overby and James Fuqua, both of Reidsville, and Jack Fuqua of Stuart; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Marion Walton
Marion Smith Walton, 89, died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, at Roman Eagle Memorial Home.
Born April 13, 1907, in Halifax County, she was the daughter of John Otis Smith and Mittie Lewis Smith.
She was married
to Wilsie Walton, who is predeceased.
Survivors include one son, David Walton of Maryland; one daughter, Louise Hyler of Danville, and one sister, Ruth Kisner of Maryland.
The graveside service will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Walton Family cemetery in Sutherlin by the Rev. Howard Green.

Misty Adkins
The funeral for Misty Lauren Adkins, 17, 790 Mountain Hill Road, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. today from Ringgold Baptist Church by the Rev. Carl Burger. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
She died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 1996, in University of Virginia Medical Center of Charlottesville.
Born Sept. 28, 1979, in Danville, she was a daughter of Kenneth Wayne Adkins and Toni Boyd Adkins, who survive.
She attended Pittsylvania County Public Schools and was a senior at Dan River High School, where she was an honor student. She was a member of the Beta Club, Dan River High School Interact Club, the S.C.A.E.L., and she was active in athletics before her illness.
She was recently selected for Dan River High School Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award.
She was a member of Ringgold Baptist Church, where she participated in the Acteens.
In addition to her parents of the residence, survivors include a brother, Patrick Boyd Adkins of the residence; her paternal grandmother, Maggie Hall Adkins of the Mountain Hill community; her maternal grandparents, Calvin T. and Nancy B. Boyd, both of Ringgold; and her great-grandparents, Ernest L. and Lucille Y. Bennett, both of Ringgold.
The family will receive friends at the residence.

Onza Brown Sr.
AXTON - Onza Rosevelt Brown Sr., 3212 Wyatt Farm Road, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, in Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Martinsville.
Born in Caswell County, he had lived in Virginia for the past several years.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a farmer.
Survivors include four daughters, Lorraine Fontaine and Callie Totten, both of Cascade,
Carolyn Tarpley of Richmond, and Barbara Webb of Martinsville; a son, Onza Brown Jr. of Axton; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday from Rocky Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. B. Stephon Brown. Burial will be in Red Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at 3250 Wyatt Farm Road.

Betty Davis
Betty Loraine Barksdale Davis, 92, formerly of Holiday Village, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, in Roman Eagle Memorial Home.
Born July 25, 1904, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of Charles J. Barksdale and Pinkie Rogers Barksdale.
She was married
to Jim Riddle Davis, who died in 1941.
She was a former member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. She had been employed by Dan River Inc. as a battery filler. She lived at Holiday Village for 17 years and had been a resident of Roman Eagle Memorial Home for the past two years.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy D. Lewis of Danville, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret D. Wilson, and two sons, James Bobby Davis and Richard C. Davis.
A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Highland Burial Park by the Rev. Rick Withrow.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Barker Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of her daughter, 2929 North Main St.
Margie Jones
CALLANDS - The funeral for Margie Marie Jones, 61, 2496 Water Oak Road, will be conducted at 1 p.m. today from Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Everett Dickerson. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
She died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, in Danville Regional Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1935, in Franklin County, she was a daughter of Charlie Saunders Muse and Mittie Goggins.
She was married
to Melvin M. Jones, who survives.
She was employed by Hooker Furniture Co. for 26 years.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Melvin M. Jones Jr. of Silver Spring, Md., and Dr. Larry M. Jones of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Cynthia M. Jones Johnson of Greensboro, N.C., and Sylvia M. Jones of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters, Glaydean Miller of Martinsville, Elizabeth Fuller of Callands, and Ethel Williams of Richmond; a brother, Harry Muse of Salem; and three grandchildren.

Izetta Pritchett
Izetta C. Pritchett, 87, 219 Ivy St., died Monday, Nov. 11, 1996, in her residence.
She was born March 11, 1909, in Pittsylvania County.
She was employed by Davis Laundry and was a member of White Rock Baptist Church.
She is survived by two cousins, Cora Bosman of Danville and Chlore Petty of Blairs.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday from White Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Walter Tinsley. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
The body may be viewed 4-8 tonight at Cunningham and Hughes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence.
Ruth C. Range
The funeral for Fannie Ruth Clark Range, 78, 103 Westridge Drive, will be conducted 3 at 3 p.m. Saturday from First Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Ross L. Range Sr. Interment will be in Highland Burial Park.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, in her residence.
Born March 1, 1918, in Fayette County, Ky., she was a daughter of John Fields Clark and Mattie Allender Clark.
On Dec. 20, 1936, she was married
to the Rev. Dr. Ross L. Range Sr., who survives.
She served as a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. Twenty of those years were spent at Ashland Avenue Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. She was also active in the W.M.U. Missions group.
She served as secretary of the Ministers Wives Fellowship of Pittsylvania Baptist Association.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Historical Society.
In addition to her husband of the residence, survivors include a son, Ross L. Range Jr. of Danville; a daughter, Peggy Ruth Range of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Jessie Bell Ginter of Versailles, Ky., and Francis Jordan of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, John M. Clark of Navarree, Fla., and James Russell Clark of Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, William Clark and Granville Clark.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Townes Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
Elijah White
Elijah Gentle White, 82, 326 Sycamore St., died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, in his residence.
He was born April 13, 1914, in Danville.
He was married
to Maggie B. White, who survives.
He was self-employed as a restaurant owner. He was also a member of Loyal Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from Loyal Baptist Church by the Rev. Lovelle Maxwell. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
The body may be viewed from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Cunningham and Hughes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence.
Katherine Bailey
JACKSONVILLE, FLA. - Katherine Rigney Bailey, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996.
She was born July 18, 1919, in Danville, Va.
She was married
to Edwin Bailey, who died in January 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Thomas and Cathy Bailey, both of Jacksonville; a sister, Mary Baker of Danville, Va.; three brothers, Irvin Rigney and Robert Rigney, both of Danville, Va., and Thomas Rigney of Baltimore; and two grandchildren.
There will be no funeral service.
Corrie Barbour
MARTINSVILLE - Corrie Parker Barbour, 78, 410 Clearview Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 10, 1996, in Vencor Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
Born April 19, 1918, in Virginia, she was a daughter of David Parker and Daisy Bowen Parker.
She was married
to John Clarence Barbour, who predeceased her.
She was a member of County Line Christian Church.
Survivors include three sons, Edward Troy Barbour of Rocky Mount, John C. Barbour Jr. of Callands, and Roger W. Barbour of Bassett; four daughters, Margaret Palmer Smith and Kathryn Hankins, both of Callands, Joyce Cox of Martinsville, and Agatha Pigg of Boydton; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday from County Line Christian Church by Dean Ashby, minister. Interment will be in Gretna Burial Park.
The family will receive friends 7-8:30 tonight at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home in Gretna, and other times at the residence of a daughter, Joyce Cox of Martinsville.
