Mr. Joseph John Randle, 86, of Stafford County died on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Randle worked as in insulator installer for 40 years and was in the United States Army during World War II. He is survived by three daughters, Margaret Randle and Peggy Everhart both of Arlington, Penny Baker of Florida; two sons, Robert Randle of Arlington, William H. Currier of Fredericksburg; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Found and Sons Fredericksburg chapel on Sunday, February 10, 2002 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 11, 2002 at 1:00 pm at the Gate of Heaven cemetery in Silver Spring, Maryland. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy, take the form of contributions to any charity of your choice. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg is handling the arrangements.

Jonathan Seth White, infant son of Christopher and Elizabeth White of Spotsylvania, died Monday, September 2, 2002 at Mary Washington Hospital. Other survivors include two brothers, Anthony Christiano and Michael Christiano, II, both of the home; his maternal grandfather, Wayne L. Kellam, Sr. of Spotsylvania; his maternal grandparents, Calvin and Margaret Crist of Spotsylvania; his paternal grandparents, Mary and Larry White of Spotsylvania. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg from 7:00-9:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 6, 2002 in Oak Hill cemetery at 11:00 am.

Jerrel "Jerry" Thomas Dwyer, 57, of Woodville died Tuesday, February 5, 2002, at his residence. He was born February 12, 1944 in Culpeper County to Mary Magdalene Dwyer of Sperryville and the late Roy Cleveland Dwyer. Jerry served in the United States Air Force. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Mildred Ann Dwyer of Woodville, his son, John Milton Dwyer and his wife, Carmine both of North Pole, Alaska and two sisters, Jean Morris and her husband, Tucker and Ruth Bowen Kiger all of both of Sperryville. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends Friday, February 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 9, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Marshall W. Braylo officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the American Red Cross Fauquier Chapter, 53B South 3rd Street, Warrenton, VA 22186 Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Linda Smith Marks O'Donnell, 53, of Culpeper died Wednesday, February 6, 2002. She was born January 20, 1949 in Culpeper to Edith Smith of Culpeper and the late E.H. Smith, Jr. Mrs. O'Donnell is survived by her husband Kenneth O'Donnell and three sons, Tony Marks and his wife Melissa, Andy Marks and his wife, Cindy and Jesse Marks and his wife Jane all of Culpeper. She is also survived by two brothers, James W. Smith of Culpeper and Robert Junior Smith "Bobby" of Pheonix, Arizona and six grandchildren, Angel, Samantha, Josh, Skye, Taylor and Eli Marks. She is preceded in death by her father and her first husband of twenty-four years, Arthur L. Marks. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 10, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Shifflett officiating. Interment will follow in the Tuttwiler Family cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Hunley, Mike Wharton, Jimmy Hooper, Mike Dyer, Ricky Bayne, Wayne Boone, Timmy Dyer and Wayne Miller. Earl Aylor

Earl Felix Aylor, 69, of Boston, VA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at University of Virginia Medical Center, with viral pneumonia. Mr. Aylor retired from the Environmental Protection Agency as a Contract Administrator in 1982. He attended LPN School at George Washington Carver Piedmont Technical Educational Center in 1985; he received an RN degree in Nursing in 1988 from Germanna College. He worked for a time at Culpeper Regional Hospital and then at the University of Virginia Medical Center as a Supervisor, EENT. He taught nursing at Piedmont. In 1997 he graduated with honors and received a BS in nursing from George Mason University. He then taught nursing at Germanna. Mr. Aylor was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where he served in various capacities. He loved his church and his fellowman; he never met a stranger. He was born May 30, 1932 in Slate Mills, Culpeper County, VA, the son of the late Mahlon House Aylor and Pansy Rosson Aylor. He is survived by his devoted and beloved wife of forty-two years, Bessie Lee Woodard Aylor of Boston; three sisters, Catherine Mason of Culpeper, Marie Robertson and Evelyn Arnold both of Huntsville, Alabama, two half-brothers, Kemper and Mahlon Aylor, Jr. of Madison, five half-sisters, Ruth Atcherson, Annie A. Ellis, Diane Bomar, Joanne Halaby and Sue Ellen Beaver, a step-mother, Flora B. Caudle all of Texas. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester, James Warren, Everette Ross, Charles and Aylette Aylor and three sisters, Gertrude Aylor Wallace, Thelma Aylor and Helen Aylor Kinsey. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 11, at 11 a.m. Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Dallas F. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers will be Perry Smiley, Bill Duncan, Donnie Foster, Ronnie Plaster, John Wilbur and John Waddell. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Sanctuary Building Fund, P.O. Box 78, Boston, VA 22713, and/or to create a nursing scholarship at Germanna Community College, 2130 Germanna Highway, Locust Grove, VA 22508 and/or Gideons International, P.O. Box 83, Culpeper, VA 22701. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Annie "Pearl" Edwards

Annie "Pearl" Edwards, 83, of Remington died Wednesday, February 6, 2002, at her residence. She was born June 20, 1918 in Brandy Station to the late Lewis Bernard Feaganes and Alice Julia Feaganes. She was a member of Remington Baptist Church. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her daughter, Betty Lou Loeffler and her husband, Thomas both of Mechanicsville, MD, a granddaughter, Sharon Moore and her husband, Randy both of Waldorf, MD and a grandson, Thomas Loeffler, Jr. and his wife Joanne both of Green Bay, WI, and two great grandchildren, RJ and Daniel. She is also survived by two sisters, Lucy Brown of Warrenton and Ella Eustace of Stafford. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Clifton Edwards, a sister, Mary Lee and two brothers, George and David Feaganes. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 11, at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Joseph B. Anderson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove cemetery, in Bealeton. Mr. Clayton Bennett Apperson, Sr., 81 of Spotsylvania County died Sunday December 1, 2002 at Mary Washington Hospital. Clayton was a lifetime resident of Spotsylvania County and worked for Sears & Roebuck for 21 years as a service technician. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and enjoyed farming, gardening, doing mechanical work and fishing. He also was a past member of the Planning Commission Committee for Spotsylvania County. He is survived by his children; Carol Jean Mc Cafferty of Louisa, Carlton Lee Apperson of King George, Clayton Bennett Apperson, Jr. of Spotsylvania, Russell Dale Apperson, Sr. of Spotsylvania, Crystal Irene Wells of Baltimore Maryland; his siblings; Percy Apperson Jr. of Washington, D.C., Carl Apperson, Sr., of Spotsylvania, and Norman Apperson, of Maryland, fifteen grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Earlene Jett Apperson. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in his name to the Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Dept. Co. #1, P.O. Box 146, Spotsylvania, VA 22553.

Margaret Wright

Margaret Lou Wright, 70 formerly of Burke, Virginia, passed away April 18, 2002. She was a member of Nellie Custis Chapter 169 O.E.S, a good navy wife who enjoyed playing Bridge, her grandchildren, and was very active with Masonic youth organizations. She is survived by her husband of over 47 years, Marsh Wright; a daughter, Michelle Ditzler; a son Michael Wright; and two grandchildren, Daria and Connor Ditzler. A private inurnment service will take place at Arlington National cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.

Harriet Moomaw Leek, the widow of Norman Gostage Leek, died Tuesday, February 5, 2002. Mrs. Leek was born May 7, 1911 to the late Harriet S. and Benjamin F. Moomaw of Roanoke, VA. She was the granddaughter of the late Judge William B. Simmons of Fincastle, VA, and of the late John C. Moomaw of Cloverdale, VA. Mrs. Leek was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Culpeper. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teacher's College, now Longwood College. While there, she served on the Student Government Association and was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. In 1981 she was presented the "Distinguished Alumni Community Service Award", by the Longwood College Association. She taught school for many years in Virginia. Mrs. Leek was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin F. Moomaw, Jr. of King's Mt., North Carolina, and two sisters, Katherine Moomaw Yowell of Culpeper and Mrs. Parke C. Buchanan of Roanoke, VA. She is survived by a brother-in-law John W. Yowell, Jr. of Culpeper and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Benjamin F. Moomaw, Jr., of King's Mt., NC. Additional survivors include four nephews, Benjamin F. Moomaw of Miami, Florida, Lewis C. Yowell of Lynchburg, VA, William M. Yowell and John C. Yowell, both of Culpeper. She is also survived by two nephew-in-laws, Douglas Lyon and Roger Lyon of Greensboro, North Carolina. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 8, at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Burial Park, in Roanoke. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 13, at 12 noon at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Michael Gray officiating. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Lee Cook, 71, of Brandy Station, died Friday, January 4, 2002, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. He was born April 14, 1930 in Culpeper to the late John H. Cook and Clara B. Rumsley Cook. Mr. Cook was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a self-employed plumber. He is survived by his former wife, Betty Jean Cook, by their three sons, Anthony Ray Cook and his wife, Joan , of Brightwood, Joseph Lee Cook and his wife, Cherie, of Floyd County, and Christopher Dale Cook and his wife, Zelda, of Brandy Station, and by two daughters, Meria Ulicny and her husband, Todd, of Los Flores, California, and Elizabeth Elaine Cook of Madison. He is also survived by a brother, Lawrence Cook, of Miami, Florida, and two sisters, Shirley Myers, of Elkwood, and Peggy Davis, of Demorest, Georgia. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 7, 2002, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons chapel, with the Rev. John Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Culpeper National cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Myers, John Myers, Greg Myers, Eddie Wayne Myers, Wallace Myers, Benny Settle and Tony Cooke. Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper is in charge of the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by a son Roy Lee Haley, Jr.; a sister, Lilly Luck; and a brother Billy Haley. He is survived by eight daughters, Joy Haley of Spotsylvania, Tina Haley of North Carolina, Crystal Haley, Anna Haley, Lidia Haley, Casey Haley, Sarah Haley and Bobby Jo Haley all of Fredericksburg; two sons Troy Haley of Spotsylvania; Ricky Haley of North Carolina; two sisters, Carol Sullivan and Barbara Berry both of Caroline County; and five grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Found and Sons Fredericksburg chapel on Thursday, February 7, 2002 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 8, 2002 at 4:00 pm. Interment will take place on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 11:00 am at Good Hope Baptist Church.
