Mrs. Elaine L. Rosolina, 73 of Spotsylvania died Tuesday January 28, 2003 at her home. Elaine worked as Chief of Communications for the World Bank until she retired. She is survived by a son, Gregory L. King of Spotsylvania; three step-daughters, Kelly Lynch of Dale City, Paula Sprool of North Carolina, Patricia Stover of Virginia; two step-sons, Michael Rosolina of West Virginia, Larry Rosolina of Erwin TN; a brother, Ronald E. Hargin of Vancouver, Washington; 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax Virginia on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 11:30 am with the Rev. John McKay officiating.

Mr. Mario Brazal Gaor, 64 of King George, died Sunday November 24, 2002 at McGuire VA Medical Center. Mario served in the US Navy for 30 years retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 1988. He served during the Viet Nam conflict. He is survived by his wife Naomi Gaor; two sons, Mario B. Gaor, Jr. and his wife Lisa Colo'n-Gaor of St. Louis, Keith I. Gaor and his wife Tracy Gaor; a daughter, Brenda D. Flaherty and her husband Daniel Flaherty of North Carolina; his grandson, Mario R. Gaor of St. Louis. Other survivors include his daughter of the heart, Jackie White and her husband Charles Skaggs and their children, Karissa, Hana and Mishela A graveside service with military honors will be held at Arlington National cemetery on Thursday, December 12, 2002 at 1:00pm.

Michael W. Wharton, Sr., 48, of Rochelle died Sunday, December 22, 2002, at his residence. He was born August 15, 1954 in Culpeper to Otis William Wharton of Madison and the late Eunice Betty Brown Wharton. Mr. Wharton enjoyed the outdoors. He was a self-employed landscaper. He is survived by his father, his wife, Joyce Wharton of Madison, and seven children, Michael W. Wharton, Jr. of Culpeper, Betty Lynn Foster and her husband, Wayne of Front Royal, Kevin Wharton of Pennsylvania, Tony Wharton of Fredericksburg, Johnny Wharton of Culpeper, Dwayne Wharton of Culpeper and Stacy Greer and her husband, Johnnie of Madison. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, two sisters, Vickie Gould of Madison and Maryann Wright of Rixeyville, one brother, Larry Wharton of Orange and a good friend, Danny Jasper of Madison. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Wharton. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Funeral services will be private. James Blaine Raines, Jr., 58, of Stafford County died on Friday, February 28, 2003 at his home. James served in the United States Navy for four years, he was a member of the Order of the Eagles, a former member of Eastland United Methodist Church and owned Jim's Welding in Fredericksburg. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; two sons, Jeffrey A. Raines of Berlin, MD and Chris J. Raines of Woodbridge, VA; a step-daughter, Danah Garland of Fredericksburg; his mother, Evelyn Raines of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Charles L. Raines and William R. Raines, both of Fredericksburg; a sister, Lois Mauck of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11:00 am. Kathryn Elizabeth Brown Tibbetts, 24, of Fredericksburg died on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 in Richmond, VA. Kathryn was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church and worked as an optical consultant for Lens Crafters for numerous years. She loved animals and helped out at the S.P.C.A. She is survived by her husband, Trevor Jason Tibbetts of Pennsylvania; her father and step-mother, Roger Franklin Brown and Robin B. Brown, of Fredericksburg; her maternal grandmother, Stella E. Price of Abingdon; her paternal grandfather, Horace F. Brown of Spotsylvania; two brothers, Tyler and Adam, of the home; a sister, Kristi Brown Emerson of Virginia Beach; two uncles, Kenneth E. Brown of Fredericksburg and John Wesley Price of Abingdon and two aunts, Beula Price Boothe of Abingdon and Amy B. Griggs of Fredericksburg. She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara P. Brown, her paternal grandmother, Helen Louise Brown and her maternal grandfather, Ernest Price. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg from 7:00-8:30 pm. James "Papa" R. Jenkins, 75, of Culpeper died Sunday, December 29, 2002, at Culpeper Regional Hospital. He was born April 27, 1927 in Madison, Virginia to the late John Henry Jenkins and Betty Jane Jenkins. Mr. Jenkins was retired from the Rochester Corp., where he worked in the wire mill. He was an active member of the Culpeper Moose Lodge 1348. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Parvin of Culpeper, one son, Michael Jenkins of Fredericksburg, Va., and a very special loved one, Doris Settle also survives him. Additional survivors include five children of Doris Settle, Ronald Settle, Rita Jones, Donna Walker, Cheryl Corbin and Steven Settle. Three grandchildren Trey Parvin, Betty Furr and Blair Elliott, and one great grandchild Skylar Renee Furr; five grandchildren of Doris, Jessica Corbin, Scott Corbin, Neil Jones, Blake Jones and Jennifer Knighting, and great grandchild of Doris, Jackson Walker, two step children and two step grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by five sisters, Nancy Meredith, Nina Baynes, Margaret Weaver, Ethel Jenkins and Ruth Leake. Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eleanor, five brothers, Pete Jenkins, Tom Jenkins, Gid Jenkins, Dick Jenkins and Henry Jenkins, three sisters, Sis Smoot, Gladys Jenkins, and Marie Smoot. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Charles Edwards, and the son of Doris Settle, Charlie Settle. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 1, 2003, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. Paul B. Robertson Sr. 81, of Culpeper died December 7, 2002 at the Culpeper Regional Hospital. Mr. Robertson was born March 26, 1921 in Prince William County to the late Edward and Mary Rebecca Robertson. Mr. Robertson was a carpenter by trade and a member of the carpenters union local 132. He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Lillian Mae Robertson, three children, one son, Paul B. Robertson Jr, and his wife Maryann of Manassas, two daughters; Mary Ellen Cameron and her husband Melvin, and Carolann Eversole and her husband Shermon both of Culpeper, and one granddaughter that resides with Mrs Robertson, Kristy Renee' Caton. Additional survivors include his eight grandchildren, Rebecca, William, Michelle, LeeAnn, Michael, Timmy, Teresa Lynn, and Billy, and one great-grandchild, Chloe Michelle. Also surviving are Mr. Mark Caton, two brothers, Jack and Clen Robertson, and four sisters Mary Taylor, Nelly Morris, Alice Herndon, and Lucy Duffy. Mrs. Myrtle Ruby Hovey, 91 of Stafford County, died Saturday November 30, 2002 at Carriage Hill Nursing Home. Ruby was a member of Hulls Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Robert W. Hovey of Spotsylvania, David L. Hovey of Stafford; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard P. Hovey. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday December 3, 2002 at Hulls Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Rhonda G. Nash officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. George F. Daniels, 71, of Spotsylvania, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was a member of The Presbyterian Church. He served in the US Army; was a guidance counselor for Fairfax County Public School until he retired in 1985 after 20 years and worked as a park ranger for eight years in Great Falls Park. He is survived by his wife, Isabelle, a daughter, Leslie Lena Bading of Chantilly and two grandsons. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2003 at The Presbyterian Church at 3:00 pm. Justina Cattaruza Bary, 85, of Stafford died Friday, November 22, 2002 at Carriage Hill Nursing Home in Fredericksburg, VA. Justina and her husband, Quinto raised their two sons in Welch, WV, where they owned and managed City Garage and Auto Parts and the Mountaineer Restaurant. They retired in Stafford to be near their son and his family. Justina was actively involved in her family's activities. She was an avid gardener, a talented seamstress, and her needlework won awards. Her family was constantly blessed with fruits of her many talents. Her son, Thomas Bary of Stafford; a sister, Dena Foy of Palm Beach Garden, FL; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren survive her. Her husband, Quinto and son, Lewis of Williamstown, New Jersey, preceded her in death. Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV. Paul Wesley Baker, 92, of Culpeper died Saturday, December 7, 2002 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Madison. Mr Baker was born September 2, 1910 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Reverend David J. and Mary J. Baker. Mr. Baker was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his two daughters; Patricia, and her husband R. E. Deane, and Pamela, and her husband David Curtis, all of Culpeper, and two grandchildren, Timothy Deane and his wife Francine, of Montclair, and Sarah A. Curtis of Culpeper. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his wife and his two brothers and five sisters, of which he was the youngest. Elizabeth "Betty" Rosenberger, 76, of Culpeper died Wednesday, April 16, 2003, at Culpeper Regional Hospital. She was born February 4, 1927 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania to the late William Derr and Mary O'Neil Derr. Mrs. Rosenberger was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her two loving sons, George Rosenberger and his wife, Ginny Sommers of New Baltimore and Greg Rosenberger of Richmond. Additional survivors include two sisters, Margaret Smith of Levittown, PA and "Kit" Katherine Penkunas of Augusta, GA, two grandchildren, Mary Raiford and Michael Rosenberger, two step grandchildren, Robert Pritchard, Jr. and Kathleen Taylor and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two nieces, Peggy Smith and Jane Penkunas and many other close nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-three years, William Rosenberger, Jr., her three brothers and one sister.
