Wallace Andrew Digges
Wallace Andrew Digges, 69, of Midland, Va., died March 27, 2003, at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.
He was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Fauquier County, a son of the late Roscoe Andrew Digges and Sally Louise Fox Digges. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Lassiter and Phoebe Digges.
Mr. Digges owned and operated a drywall contracting business for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty C. Digges; five children, Sandie Caudill of Jeffersonton, Va., Sharron Chapman of Bealeton, Va., Andy Digges of Warrenton, Va., Wally Digges of Midland, Va. and Sheryl Williams of Orlean, Va.; four sisters, Barbara Kasabian of N.H., Carolyn Tapp of Catlett, Va., Connie Meadows of Bealeton, Va., and Bettye Boyle of Culpeper, Va.; four brothers, Stanley Digges of Tennessee, Arthur Digges of Midland, Va., Ronnie Digges of Falmouth, Va. Gary Digges of Bealeton, Va.; five grandchildren, Shannon Caudill, Alex Chapman, Logan and Courtney Williams and Stuart Digges.
A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Midland Church of the Brethren cemetery by Rev. David E. Craig.

Lavie Amos Faulconer
Lavie Amos Faulconer, 93, a longtime resident of Rapidan, died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at the Orange County Nursing Home.
Born August 18, 1909 in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late William Brockman Amos and the late Willie Bunch Amos.
Her husband was the late Luther Anderson Faulconer.
Mrs. Faulconer was a longtime member of the Lower Rapidan Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher, treasurer and clerk for over fifty years. She was a longtime employee of Rapidan Milling Company.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Biro of Columbia, South Carolina, one brother-in-law, Fred Hopkins of Orange.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25, at 2 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with the Rev. C. Donald Apperson officiating.
Interment will be in Walkers United Methodist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Preddy Funeral Home in Orange.

Jerry Mack Nichols, Jr.
Jerry Mack Nichols, Jr., 79, of Culpeper, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, in Charlottesville. He was born May 10, 1924 in Halifax County, VA to the late Jerry Mack Nichols, Sr. and Mary Susan Nichols.
Mr. Nichols was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a retired Sergeant with the Virginia State Police Department. Mr. Nichols was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, a member of the Culpeper Mid-Day Lions Club, and the Salem Ruritan Club. Mr. Nichols also enjoyed working and volunteering with the Boy Scouts. He loved the outdoors, all sports and especially golf.
Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Barbara Strader Nichols, two children, Susan Grace Norris and her husband Bobby of Culpeper and Mary Elizabeth Schelin and her husband, Glen of Stafford, one grandson, Jeremy P. Aylor of Madison and an additional three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren by marriage.
Additional survivors include four brothers, Ernest Marvin of Keysville, VA, Clyde Wayne of Richmond, VA, Ralph G. of Drakes Branch, VA and Ray of Clover, VA, two sisters, Margaret N. Brankley and Iris N. Cotter both of Richmond, and one sister-in-law, Annie Belle Nichols of Randolph, VA.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by two brothers, Bryant and William Vincent and one sister, Edith N. Fowler.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Sanford L. Martin, Deacon Virgil Jones and C.F. Yates officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
Pallbearers will be E.J. Aylor, Jr., Jeff Karnes, John Quinley, Johnny Anderson, Tuck Pulliam and Carson Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Lischke, Lile Stevens and “Doc” Early.
