Leah Virginia Viers, 58, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tenn.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007 at Haysi Funeral Home with elders Josh Viers, Jim O’quinn and Frank Viers officiating.
Burial followed at Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon.
Pallbearers were T.J. Thompson, Dylan Thompson, Ray Viers, Denton Barton, Keith Viers, Arnold Viers, Donald Viers, Eddie Viers, Larry Viers and Don Viers.

James Henry Minnix, 70, of Coeburn, passed away Monday (Feb. 12, 2007) in Johnson City, Tenn.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at the Sturgill Funeral Home Coeburn.

Wayne Robinette, 55, of Wise, passed away Sunday (Feb. 11, 2007) at his home.

Alpha Denise Taylor, 36, of Rapid City, Minn., beloved daughter of Henry and Cheri Taylor, passed away in Rochester, Minn. on Sunday (Feb. 11, 2007) after a courageous battle against Leukemia.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 15, at Osheim-Catron Funeral Home.

Fannie Holbrook Meade, 85, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 21, 2007) at her home.
She was a member of the St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church and the Pocahontas Rebekah Lodge #24.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 in the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel 310 6th Street N.W. Coeburn with the Rev. Bill Crawford, Rev. Kevin Morris, Rev. Mike Lawson and Brother Les Ritchie officiating.

Elva Rhae Powers, 89, enter into rest on Monday (Aug. 20, 2007) at the Norton Community Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services for Elva Powers will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise with Rev. John McCarroll and Rev. Tommy McAmis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. till times of services at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23.
Entombment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap.
Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.

Gorman Carlyle (Robbie) Roberson died on Wednesday (Aug. 15, 2007) after a brief illness.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents Cora Dotson and Kenas Gorman Roberson, his brother, Shelton, and his sister, Dorothy of Pound.
Funeral services were Friday, Aug. 17 at the Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. James Bennington officiating.
Interment will followed in the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
The Roberson family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

INEZ MEADE WILSON
Inez Meade Wilson left this world at Fairfax Hospital for her new home in Heaven on Sunday, (Aug. 19, 2007).
She was ushered into glory, surrounded by family and pastor as they sang Amazing Grace.
There will be a celebration of her life at a graveside service at Fairfax Memorial Gardens, in Fairfax on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m., final arrangements being handled by Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation was August 22. Brother Ian MacFarlane, her nephew, will officiate.
Inez was a member of Fair Oaks Church, in Fairfax.

Miss Arizona Sowards, 85, of Pound, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 22, 2008) at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Services were held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Sadie Baker Memorial Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with the Reverend Randy Carter officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Austin cemetery in Pound.
Pallbearers will be David Polly, Kenneth Wright Jr., Ray Shortt, Sonny Shortt, Grinville Burke and Brandon Shortt.
Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 am to go in procession to the cemetery.

Blanche Marie Addison, 85, of Norton, died Monday (Jan. 21, 2008) at Anne & Donald McGraw Center for Caring Hospice in Jacksonville, Fla.

Don William Johnson, 55, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008 in a Richmond hospital.

Adam Barlow Willis, 91, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Clintwood.
He was a lifelong resident of Clintwood, a local farmer for over 75 years and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 at Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel with Mannie Strouth and Franklin Hall officiating.
Burial followed at Phipps Memorial cemetery in Clintwood.
