Patricia Dawn (Pat) Sharpe Jackson, 64, of Stuarts Draft, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2011, at University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA.
Patricia was born in Radford, Virginia on April 2, 1947, the daughter of Anna Ruth (White) Sharpe of Hillsville, Va and the late Junior C. Sharpe.
She worked as a Secretary at Stuarts Draft High School, Stuarts Draft, VA and at Montgomery Co. Public School before moving to Stuarts Draft.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Stuarts Draft, VA. She enjoyed being with her family, camping, and traveling.
She was united in marriage on April 7, 1966, for almost 46 years to William T. Jackson.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by a son, Brian T. Jackson and his wife Rachel of Grottoes, two sisters, Rebecca Bos and husband Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC, Deborah Boyer of Hillsville, three grandchildren, English, Anna, and William P. Jackson all of Grottoes, two nephews Joshua Burcham, and Daniel Boyer and a niece Kari Boyer.
A funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Service Grottoes Chapel, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2011, with Rev. Tony Lundy officiating. Burial will follow at Port Republic Mutual cemetery.
The family will recieve friends Wednesday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Service, Grottoes.

Stella Ellen Riffee
WOODSTOCK - Stella Ellen Riffee, 99, widow of Chester Wright Riffee, died Monday, July 23, 2007.
Mrs. Riffee was born Aug. 19, 1907, at St. Luke, daughter of the late Charles Luther and Ruth Shipp Ryman. She was a member of St. Luke Brethren Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene and Willard Riffee.
Surviving are three sons, Everett Riffee of Winchester, Elton Riffee of Inman, S.C., and Robert W. Riffee of Woodstock; two daughters, Berniece Poe of Front Royal and Barbara Whittington of Woodstock; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted Friday, July 27, at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, by Pastors Anthony-Keim and Gregory Miller. Burial followed in St. Luke cemetery.

Evelyn Clark Sherfy, 97, of Somerset, OH, formerly of Mt. Solon, passed away at home on Thursday, November 3, 2011.
Evelyn was born in Johnson City, TN on July 7, 1914, and was a daughter of the late John B. and Flora B. (Haire) Clark.
She attended Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA and studied at Bethany Seminary, Chicago, IL.
She was united in marriage July 21, 1935, to Robert L. Sherfy, who preceded her in death October 20, 1994.
Evelyn is survived by a son, Robert D. Sherfy and wife Amy Schultz of Lancaster, PA, and a daughter, Janine Holekamp and husband Steve of Somerset, OH; grandchildren, Mark Sherfy and wife Elizabeth, Beth Sherfy, Scott Holekamp and wife Claire, Trevor Holekamp and wife Rebecca, Hannah Schneider, Elizabeth Schneider and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and seven brothers.
A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, Weyers Cave, VA, at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2011 with Rev. Matthew Fike officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, Wednesday at the church prior to the service.

James Willard Robinson
WOODSTOCK - James Willard Robinson, 81, died Saturday, July 28, 2007.
Mr. Robinson was born March 13, 1926, in Haymarket, son of the late Walter H. and Nellie Spinks Robinson. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving at the Battle of the Bulge. He worked for Safeway for 39 years and as a school bus driver for 37 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Woodstock and American Legion Post 199.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Borden Robinson; two sons, James Gary “Chip” Robinson of Strasburg and Willard Terry Robinson of Woodstock; daughter, Brenda Carol Heishman of Woodstock; three sisters, Barbara White of Warrenton, Marie Gary and Lillian Waters, both of Manassas; three brothers, Shirley Robinson of Manassas, Thomas Robinson and Mac Robinson, both of Haymarket; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, with the Rev. Richard Moyers officiating. Burial will be in Sunset View Memorial Gardens.

Phyllis Ellen Seddon
WOODSTOCK - Phyllis Ellen Seddon, 77, formerly of Lanham, Md., died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Johns Hopkins University Hospital, Baltimore.
Mrs. Seddon was born July 4, 1930, in Salem, N.J. She was a graduate of Caldwell University in New Jersey. She was a naturalist and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Landover and St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church in Woodstock.
Surviving are her husband, Dr. John W. Seddon; four sons, Jeffrey Seddon of Crownsville, Md., Michael Seddon of Ellicott City, Md., John Seddon and Matthew Seddon, both of Davidsonville, Md.; and eight grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the George P. Kalas Funeral in Edgewater, Md.

Larry Alan Sipe
ANDERSON, S.C. - Larry Alan Sipe, 57, died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Mr. Sipe was born Feb. 15, 1950, in Harrisonburg, son of June Peale Sipe of Harrisonburg and the late Rudolph Fay Sipe. He was currently employed with H H Gregg. He trained as a jeweler with The Jewel Box, was the former manager of Phil Jewelers at Anderson Mall for over 25 years and also employed with AFLAC. He had served on the board of directors at Anderson Mall, was a member of the S.C. Jewelers Association, of Gideons International, and Parkwood Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and many other roles. He dedicated his life to family and was a faithful friend to many.
In addition to his mother surviving are his wife, Linda Saufley Sipe; three daughters, Andrea M. McDaniel and husband Ken, Jennifer Hughes Chapman and husband Jason, all of Anderson, and Lindsey A. Sipe of Rock Hill; grandson, Zaine Alan McDaniel; sister, Diana Crump of New Market; nephew, Mike Hughes; nieces, Jackie Hardesty and Becky Crump; great-nephew, Justin Shirkey; sister-in-law, Carolyn S. Bennington and husband Gary of Harrisonburg and their children, Danielle, Jaysen and Russell Bennington.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Jeff Hughes.
A funeral service was conducted Friday, July 27, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, by William R. West Jr. and Brad Hanks. Burial was in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisonburg.
Joseph Allen “Al” Snapp Sr.
STRASBURG - Joseph Allen “Al” Snapp Sr., formerly of Middletown, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, in Woodstock.
Mr. Snapp was born in 1951 in Winchester, son of Garland Newell and Martha Ellen Snapp. He was an orchardist.
Surviving are four children, Christy Lynn Snapp, Jennifer Lee Garcia, Tammy Lynn Snapp and Joseph A. Snapp Jr., all of Virginia; a brother, Larry Smith of Virginia; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Monday, July 30, in Mount Hebron cemetery, Winchester.
Thelma Catherine Stump
QUICKSBURG - Thelma Catherine Stump, 77, formerly of Moorefield, W.Va., died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Stump was born July 6, 1930, in Moorefield, daughter of the late Roy and Nancy Shockey Hose. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Brian Sword of Abingdon; four daughters, Betty Silgero of Broadway, Norma Breeden of Shenandoah, Brenda Good and Debbie Smith, both of Quicksburg; three sisters, Margel Helman, Dorothy Hose and Emma Jean Mowery, all of Moorefield; two brothers, Alston Hose and Floyd “Tiny” Hose, both of Moorefield; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday, July 31, at Olivet cemetery in Moorefield.

Leonard Wesley White
WOODSTOCK - Leonard Wesley White, 83, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at his home.
Mr. White was born May 15, 1924, in Stephens City, son of the late Howard E. and Elsie Lea Cave White. He had been a carpenter. He was a member of Shepherd Road Presbyterian Church, Lakeland, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Arbutus Grimm, whom he married
May 19, 1946; two daughters, Betty Welsh of Lakeland and Phyllis O’Malley of Winchester, Ky.; son, Robert Allen White of Maysville, S.C.; three sisters, Audrey Inskip, Marcella Ritter and Lois White, all of Stephens City; four brothers, Lawrence White of Winchester, William White and Wayne White, both of Stephens City, and Hugh White of Richmond; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen White and Elmer White.
A funeral service was conducted Friday, July 27, at Enders and Shirley Funeral Home, Stephens City, by Pastor John Lock. Burial was in Refuge United Methodist Church cemetery, Stephens City.

"Sonny” Virgil Berdeaux Jr.
BROADWAY- “Sonny” Virgil Berdeaux Jr., 76, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Life Care Center of New Market.
Mr. Berdeaux was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Miami, Fla., son of the late Virgil and Elizabeth Burchfield Berdeaux. He was past owner of Endless Caverns for 23 years, restoring the caverns. He was a 32nd degree mason at Oleeta Lodge in Miami, Fla., a chapter dad, and a former member of the Lions Club in Florida. He graduated from Gulf Coast Military Academy in Gulfport, Miss. He was a self-made man.
On Feb. 28, 1951, he married
Martha D. Berdeaux, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Wade and Donna Berdeaux of New Market, Gary and Susan Berdeaux of Park City, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Johnson of Virginia Beach and Bill Johnson of New Market, Kathy Tyson of Broadway and Bob Tyson of Dunedin, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Troy Johnson, Doug Johnson, Sunny Johnson and fiancé Chad Webster, Robert Tyson, Russell Tyson, Jeffrey Berdeaux, Ryan Berdeaux, Chris Berdeaux; two brothers; one sister; and a faithful companion, Sparky.
His body was cremated.

Lester Floyd Biller
MOUNT JACKSON- Lester Floyd Biller, 86, died Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock.
Mr. Biller was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Hepners, son of the late James Washington and Dorcas Viola Halterman Biller. He retired after 30 years from the Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of Morning Star Lutheran Church in Mount Jackson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of Massanutten Post No. 2447 VFW in Edinburg.
On May 27, 1946, he married
Julia Catherine Biller; she preceded him in death Feb. 14, 1998.
Surviving are two sons, James D. Biller and Dennis F. Biller, both of Mount Jackson, six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Richard Krasneck conducted the funeral Saturday, March 31, at Morning Star Lutheran Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
