STRASBURG - Ruthetta Beeler Smith, 67, of Strasburg died on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Envoy of Winchester.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Alan Gray officiating. Burial followed at Panorama Memorial Gardens.
She was born in Lebanon Church on December 15, 1942 a daughter of the late Julius Hopewell and Freddie Louise Himelright Beeler. She was a member of the Laurel Hill Christian Church and a Girl Scout leader for over 25 years.
Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Emmett C. Smith of Strasburg; her children Delores Acevedo of Strasburg, Gary Wayne Smith of Strasburg, Debora Onzura of Winchester, and Steven Anthony Smith of Strasburg; grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Maria Smith, Monica Acevedo, Steven Smith, Jr., Angela Onzura, Sarah Smith, Angel Onzura, Jr., Tina Smith, Antonio Tristan, Mary Smith, James Smith, Emma Smith, and Alexandra Smith; nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Julia Heishman of Strasburg, Margaret "Peggy" McDonald of Lebanon Church, Hazel Brown of Harrisonburg, Mae Catherine Barrick of Lebanon Church, and Jean Quick of West Virginia; one brother, Earol Beeler of Lebanon Church; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steven Anthony Smith, Gary Wayne Smith, Angel Onzura, Jr., Antonio Tristan, Billy Barrick, and David Barrick.
Emma Leigh Kackley
TOMS BROOK - Emma Leigh Kackley, infant daughter of Robert Lee "Bobby" and Kathy Marie Kackley of Toms Brook, died on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Winchester Medical Center. Services will be private.
Surviving with her parents are her sister, Gracee Marie Kackley; grandparents, Charles William Kackley Sr. of Winchester; John and Paula Bispo of Woodstock; and great grandparents, Mildred C. Bispo of Fairfax and Harold and Jean Curry of Timberville.
John Dennis Piper
EDINBURG - John Dennis Piper, 66, of Edinburg, died July 9, 2010.
The memorial will be conducted Aug. 7 at 5:30 p.m. at Woods Chapel Church, Woodstock.
He was born on July 6, 1944 in Vienna, the son of the late John Wilmer and Grace Dodd Piper.
Survivors include his companion, Barbara Ann Weinstock of Edinburg; Daughters, Tammy Piper of Edinburg, Misty Piper Royce, and Articia Piper; Sons, Gary Weinstock and John Scott Piper; Stepdaughter, Anna Merritt of Mount Jackson; Stepson, Gary Weinstock; and Sisters, Bonita Piper of Luray and Jackie Dovel of Stanley. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home, Luray.

MOUNT JACKSON - Helen Adeline Kincheloe, 75, of Mount Jackson died on Saturday, July 24, 2010.
A graveside service was held at the Broad Run Church cemetery in W.Va. on Wednesday, July 28 by Pastor William Coffindaffer.
She was born May 18, 1935 in Washington, DC. She was the daughter of the late Burton Arden and Bessie Whipp Dye.
She is survived by a son, Gordon Lee Kincheloe, Jr. of Mount Jackson; three daughters, Fonda K. Scrogham of Manassas Park; Nancy M. Vance of Alliance, Ohio; and Lisa N. Breeden of Mount Jackson.Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and a dear friend of 45 years, Naomi Whetzel of Mount Jackson.

Edith Virginia Himelright Lichliter
STRASBURG - Edith Virginia Himelright Lichliter, 91, of Strasburg died on Friday, July 23, 2010 at Lynn Care Center of Front Royal.
She was born December 12, 1918, in Frederick County, the daughter of the late Charles Oliver and Vernie Mae Sherman Himelright. She was married
to Charles Franklin "Jack" Lichliter on June 22, 1935. She attended school in Frederick County and worked for American Viscose in Front Royal, retiring after 30 years of service.
She was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church, a life member of the Strasburg Ladies of the Moose Lodge 1319, a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 77 of Strasburg, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Strasburg Vol. Fire Department and the Strasburg Vol. Rescue Squad.
She is survived by a daughter Connie Lichliter Himelright of Lebanon Church; Grandsons, Wayne Allen Turner of Toms Brook, Jackie Franklin Lichliter of Strasburg, Don Russell Himelright, Jr., of Lebanon Church; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Jack" Lichliter; Son, Gene Allen Lichliter; sisters, Nellie Collins, Mae Orndorff, Hattie Rebecca Henry; brothers, Lovess R. Himelright, Joseph William Preston Himelright, and Dallas Eugene Himelright. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A graveside service was conducted on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Gravel Spring cemetery, Star Tannery with Pastor James Daley officiating.

Ruby Dawson
ARLINGTON - Ruby Dawson died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
She was a daughter of the late Oris Alpha Mims and E. Alice Cotten Mims.
Mrs. Dawson served as a bookkeeper for the family business, Dawson's Mobil Gas, from 1955 to 1977. She then worked for the Department of the Army until her retirement in 1988. She was a charter member of Greenbrier Baptist Church in Arlington.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Lewis Dawson of Fort Valley; a daughter, Susan Dawson Natoli of Woodstock; one grandson; six great-grandchildren; and a brother Robert Mims of Moncure, N.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis L. Dawson; a brother, Thomas Mims; two sister’s, Eloise Taranto and Inez Childress.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, June 23, at Greenbrier Baptist Church in Arlington. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Lewis at Columbia Gardens cemetery, Arlington.

Cheryl Lynn Benbury Earley
WINCHESTER - Cheryl Lynn Benbury Earley, 41, died on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on Aug. 6, 1968, in Pennsylvania, and was a daughter of George White Benbury of Fla., and Debra Ann Bohus Swann of Ariz.
Mrs. Earley was employed with Datalux Corporation of Winchester.
She is survived by her children, Brittney Leigh Musterman of N.C., Kylie Ayn Latshaw and Samantha Jana Latshaw, both of Strasburg; two grandchildren; and her maternal grandmother, Jean Bohus of Ariz.
A memorial service was conducted on Tuesday, June 22, at Maurertown Brethren Church with Pastor Richard Craver officiating.

Denise Wynne Baber Violett
MOUNT JACKSON - Denise Wynne Baber Violett, 37, died on Saturday, June 19, 2010.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1973, in Woodstock, and was a daughter of Donald and Debbie Baber of Edinburg.
Mrs. Violett was a 1991 graduate of Central High School. She was a member of St. Johns UMC in Edinburg.
She is survived by her husband, John Violett; two daughters, Victoria and Elizabeth Violett, all of Mount Jackson; two sisters, Dawn Burch of Strasburg; Donia Ryman of Mount Jackson; her grandmother, Mary Ann Baber; and mother and father-in-law, Carl and Linda Fay Heishman. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Ernie L. Baber; grandparents, Carl and Mary Bright.
A funeral service was conducted on Wednesday, June 23, at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mount Jackson with Pastor Jeremy Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Cedarwood cemetery, Edinburg.

John Lee Wilson
MOUNT JACKSON - John Lee Wilson, 56, died on Friday, June 18, 2010, at V.A. Medical Center in Richmond.
He was born on July 12, 1953, in Wilmington, Del., and was a son of the late James F. and Mary E. Riley Wilson.
Mr. Wilson served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era and had been employed at American Manufacturing, Inc. in Culpeper.
On Nov. 11, 1987, he married
Deborah A. Wilson.
He is survived by two daughters, Kristen Wilson of Mount Jackson; Ashley Cohen of Fla.; three sons, Kyle Wilson of Mount Jackson; John B. Wilson of Fla.; Owen Fine, Jr. of Ore.; two sisters, Jo Ann Kielbasa of Harrisonburg; Patricia Stone of Timberville; two brothers, Michael Wilson of N.Y. and Bill Wilson of Del.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at a later date.
Patricia Marie Allen
NEW MARKET - Patricia Marie Allen, 72, died on Sunday June 6, 2010, at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1937, in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of the late Peter and Marie Bennett Chaconas.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker.
She is survived by three daughters, Christy Thomas, Tracy Allen and Dana Allen, all at home; a son Kevin Allen of Frederick, Md.; a sister, Suzanne Moore of Olney, Md.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald A. Allen.
A funeral service was conducted on Sunday, June 27, at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing by Father Richard Ley. Burial was in Mount Jackson cemetery.
