LORINSER
Eva B. Lorinser, 65, passed away September 17, 2002. She is survived by her three children, Rainer Lorinser, Carol Butler and her husband, Clay and Angelika Lorinser; and four grandchildren, Alia, Yasmeen, Yazeed and Jacob. Mrs. Lorinser was a retired employee of the Virginia Employment Commission with 22 years of service. Her remains rest at the Bliley Funeral Home's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. O'HANLEY
Phyills M. O'Hanley, age 64, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002. She was the beloved daughter of the late Phillip J. and Mary T. (Gallagher) Corrigan. She is survived by her husband, Roy F. O'Hanley; three daughters, Kathleen Anne Nonnemacker, Denise Marie Tamberrino and Mary Therese O'Hanley; and one son, Roy Francis O'Hanley III; her grandchildren, Jackson Campbell Nonnemacker, James W., Danielle A. and Kyle J. Picard, Tyler P. DeMaire, Sarah M. Golembiesky, Daniel C. O'Hanley, Kennedy Corrigan and Christian Chase O'Hanley; four brothers, Phillip, Clarence, John and Edward Corrigan; four sisters, Catherine Dolan, Rose Basino, Theresa Thompson and Elizabeth Whitsell; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred McManus and Harriett Corrigan. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2002 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Jerry Donat Pannell of Chester passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2002. He is the son of Louise F. Pannell and the late Wayne Pannell. He was a graduate of Virginia Tech. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Wenona Pannell; two sons, Donat Wayne Pannell and Chad Andrew Pannell; sister, Miriam Blackstock; two brothers, Harold Pannell and Bob Pannell. SHAPIRO
Julian David Shapiro, age 85, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully, on September 17, 2002 in Richmond. He was married for 55 years to Honey Shapiro, who passed away in October of last year. He was a lifelong member of Beth-El Synagogue, a founding member of Oak Hill Country Club, the Jewish Community Center and a member of the Masonic Temple. He was born June 30, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri, the middle son of Ben and Fannie Shapiro. He moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend Temple University where he graduated. He served in World War II as a first lieutenant in the Navy and had duty throughout the Pacific. On his return he married Honey (Smeyne) Shapiro and settled in Richmond where they raised their family. Along with his father and two brothers they started Stanley Toy Co. The company was in business for over 40 years. He is survived by his three sons, Jerry, Barry and his wife, Eve of Richmond and Marc of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and his brother, Stanley and his wife, Francis. He has three grandchildren, Troy, Jason and Matthew Shapiro, all of Richmond. His two lifetime friends are Bernie Haftel and Muriel Tabas. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at Richmond Beth-El Cemetery Chapel off Laburnum Avenue. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Children's Hospital of Richmond, Virginia in the name of Matthew Shapiro.

Albert Lucian Stoutamire, 81, of Brevard, N.C., died Sunday, September 15, 2002 at his residence. A native of Broadway, Va., he was a son of the late Dr. Frederick A. and Elsie
Smith Stoutamire. He attended the University of North Carolina, served in the U.S. Army during WWII and took degrees at R.P.I. of William and Mary, Columbia University Teachers College and Florida State University. He was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, NACWAPI and lifetime member of MENC. He worked as a professional performer, taught in the public schools in Richmond, Va., LaGrange College of LaGrange, Ga. and McNeese State University of Lake Charles, La. He also wrote and published music for school groups and considered himself a music educator throughout his lifetime. He is survived by his wife, Anne L. Jurgens Stoutamire; a son, Robert O. Stoutamire of Lake Charles, La.; a brother, Frederick A. Stoutamire Jr. of Richmond, Va. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transylvania Co. Edward Bledsoe Thomas Sr., 76, died on Sunday, September 15, 2002 at his residence. He was a native of Palmyra, Va. He was a local resident for 16 years. He was employed by Prince William County Schools as a teacher, principal and administrator for 34 years retiring in 1986. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. Mr. Thomas was also a WWII veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna

WILLIAMS
Dr. Armistead Dandridge Williams, a resident of Williamsburg for 39 years, died September 17. He was born April 27, 1916, in Richmond, Virginia. He attended St. Christopher's School, The Woodberry Forest School and the University of Virginia. He graduated from the University of Virginia Medical School, and completed his residency at the University of Virginia and at the Duke Medical Center. After serving in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII, he trained in cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 1953 he became Chief of Staff with the C&O Railroad Hospital in Clifton Forge, Virginia. During the next 10 years, he was an early pioneer in the implantation of pacemakers. In 1963, he moved his family to Williamsburg and began a private practice which continued almost 25 years. He touched the lives of many through his practice and his work with the Williamsburg Community Hospital, Colonial Williamsburg, The Williamsburg Landing, and the Pines Nursing Home. He retired from the formal practice of medicine at the age of 70, and turned his attention to help cure the decline of the oyster in the lower Chesapeake Bay. For the rest of his life, he devoted time to the study of oyster cultivation, working closely with the Virginia Institute of Marine Science and was recognized as a Master Oyster Gardener. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fannie Richardson Williams; his sister, Cyane De Bordenave of Alexandria; and his brother, Richard
Williams of Richmond. He is also survived by his sons, Dr. Armistead D.
