Funeral services were held Friday, July 30, at 11 a.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Glen Allen. Interment was in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his parents, Jay and Shelly Poole; grandparents, Laird and Pat Smith, and Jack and Maggie Poole of Wytheville; his Granny B; and his dog, James Bond.

Eunice Hammond Puckett, 83, of Wytheville, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in a Roanoke hospital.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Stansell officiating. Interment will be held in the West End cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late William H. and Clara Miller Hammond. She was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Puckett Sr.; and a daughter, Cindy P. Nelson.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. Jr. and Julie Puckett of Houston, Texas, and Richard M. and Patricia Puckett of Bristol; one brother, Harry Hammon of Maryland; a son-in-law, Donnie Nelson of Centerville; and five grandchildren, Robert Fleming Puckett, Tanner Puckett, Jessica Lee Puckett, Heather Nelson, and Jennifer Nelson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Grubb Funeral Home.

Phyllis Harner Repass, 75, of Wytheville, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in the Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, at 2 p.m. at the Newberry Funeral Home Chapel in Bland. Interment will follow in the Bethany cemetery in Ceres.
She was born in Bland County, a daughter of the late Aubrey and Mae Neel Harner and a member of the Wytheville Church of Christ.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Bobby Thompson of Ceres; a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur M. and Elizabeth Repass of Ceres; five grandchildren, Tracy Lynn Repass, Joe Hunter Repass, Lesley Repass, Jeremy Thompson, and Travis Thompson, all of Ceres; a sister, Hazel Bruce of Saltville; and a brother, Neal Harner of Hillsville.

Jean Graves Sands, 84, of Rocky Gap, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in the Kegley Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the Rocky Gap United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Carrico and the Rev. Larry Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mechanicsburg cemetery.
She was born in Bland County, the daughter of the late Harman Eugene and Anna Mustard Graves and was a member of the Rocky Gap United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Graves.
Survivors include her husband, L.H. "Pete" Sands of Rocky Gap; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Bill Hepler of Buena Vista, and Susan and Henry Blessing of Bastian; five grandchildren, Sheri and Matthew Haas of Virginia Beach, David Hepler of Kamas, Utah, Anne Marie and Johnny Winn Jr. of Ruckersville, Lisa and Kyle Ford of Denver, Colo., and Nathan Blessing of Bastian; and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Graves of Narrows.

Johnie Monroe Webster, 56, of Pulaski, died Wednesday, July 28, 1999, in the Pulaski Community Hospital.
A graveside services will be held Saturday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at the Jackson Memorial cemetery, Austinville, with the Rev. David Coffey Jr. and the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. The Pulaski VFW Post No. 1184 will conduct the military graveside rites.
He was born March 30, 1943, in Pulaski, and was a son of the late James Garfield Webster Sr. and Mary Robinson Webster.
He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Lee Jackson Webster; a son, James Todd Webster; and a brother, James Garfield Webster Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Tippin Webster of Pulaski; a son, John Milton Webster of Austinville; a daughter Amanda Mae Webster of Pulaski; a sister, Patsy W. Morefield of South Hill; two grandchildren, Shawn Michael Webster and Kristen Leigh Webster, both of Austinville; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

William Mosbey Faulkner Jr., 77, of Kimberling Valley in Bland County, died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, in Wythe County Community Hospital after a life-long struggle with asthma.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, at 2 p.m. at the A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home in White Gate with the Rev. Mike Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh cemetery, Hollybrook.
Born Aug. 1, 1920 in Bluefield, W.Va., he was a veteran of World War II, and resided in the Kimberling Valley of Bland County.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Blankenship Faulkner; his only child, R.D. Faulkner; two grandchildren, Jason and April Faulkner; and several in-laws, other relatives, friends and neighbors.

Donald Leroy Gabel, 63, of Wytheville, died Monday, March 2, 1998, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 9, at 1 p.m. in the Keokuk National cemetery, Keokuk, Iowa.
He was born in Keokuk, Iowa, a son of the late Emile Gabel and Flossie Haisch Gabel. Most of his professional life her was a C.P.A. in Green Bay, Wis. He was a member of the American Bar Association and a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was the owner/operator of Johnson Motel in Wytheville. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Burnett Gabel.
Survivors include two daughters, Amy Elizabeth Gabel of Green Bay, Wis., and Jennifer Lynn Turnquist of Minneapolis, Minn.; one son, Donald Leroy Gabel II, stationed at the American Embassy, Kiev, Ukraine; five brothers, Marshall Gabel, Ray Gabel, Eugene Gabel, Dale Gabel, all of Keokuk, Iowa, and Earl Gabel of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and four grandchildren.

She was born in Mercer County, W.Va. on Aug. 11, 1918, and was a daughter of the late Howard Carbie Coeburn and Lucy Callie Poe Coeburn.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma Jean Aldridge.
Survivors include her husband, Malcolm Gray Sr. of Pulaski; two daughters, Juanita Gail Buck of Rural Retreat, and Marion Sue Akers of Dublin; three sons, Malcolm Gray Jr. of Pulaski, Mitchell Gray of Barren Springs, and Albert Dewey Hendrick of Roanoke; three sisters, Francis Neal of Bluefield, W.Va., Irene Whited of Bluefield, and Katherine Coeburn of Charlottesville; one brother, Hobert Coeburn of Lockport, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Lewis Greek Huddle.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Huddle Kincer.

Jackson; a son-in-law, Kenneth Kincer of Chester; seven grandchildren, Kenneth Kincer Jr. of Sparta, Tenn., Zona Kincer Hicks of Richmond, Carolyn Huddle Glasgow of Clearwater, Fla., Deborah Huddle of Fredericksburg, Joseph Huddle of Woodstock, Robert Elvetici of Wytheville, and Diana Elvetici Truitt of New Market, Md.; nine great-grandchildren, Kenneth Kincer III, Sarah Ann Rittenberry, Justin Hicks, Bryan Hicks, Shane Elvetici, Corey Elvetici, Hannah Huddle, Darien Huddle and Mary Frances Truitt; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a general supply coordinator in Starke, Fla., and was born in Wythe County, a daughter of the late Donald and Hattie Akers.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Akers.
Survivors include her husband, Bruno Kenneth McDaniels of Keystone Heights, Fla.; four sons, D.J. Marshall of Gainsville, Fla., Keith Marshall of Starke, Fla., Kensy McDaniels of Bufford, Ga., and Steven McDaniels of Thomasville, N.C.; two brothers, Randolph Akers of Wytheville, and Terry Akers of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Judy Crigger and Mary Sue Akers, both of Wytheville; and four grandchildren.

Patricia Blackwell Moore, 66, of Richmond, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998.
She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and a member of All-Saints Episcopal Church Altar Guild and Women's Group in Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Helen Blackwell of Wytheville.
Survivors include two sons, Robert B. Moore and Harry M. Moore; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Hugh Blackwell.
