Funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. in the Reese Funeral Home Chapel in Austinville, Va., with the Rev. Leslie Shelton officiating. Interment will be in the St. Paul Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. American Legion No. 9 will conduct graveside military rites.
He was born in Wythe County, Va. He was retired from Regal Textile and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Lillie Dunford Coley; a daughter, Teresa Ann Coley; two grandchildren, Brandon Coley and Mike Alderman; three sisters; and five brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Sue Coley; one daughter and son-in-law, Sonia and Aaron Russell of Wytheville, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law, James Henry and Kathy Coley of Wytheville, Va., Christopher Lee Coley of Wytheville, Va., and Chad Everett and Susana Coley of Max Meadows, Va.; six sisters and brothers-in-law, Sallie Coleman of Max Meadows, Va., Ruth Holiday of Alexandria, Va., Sue and Adrian Perez of Rock Mart, Ga., Annabell and Joe Arnold of Fries, Va., Arlee White of Hillsville, Va., and Mildred Saville of Blacksburg, Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Faye Coley, and Jesse and Laura Coley, all of Wytheville, Va.; a special friend, Terry White of Max Meadows, Va.; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Elsie Umberger Moyers, 99, of Wytheville, Va., died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at Asbury Place at Wytheville, Va.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel in Wytheville, Va., with Pastor Steven Ridenhour officiating. Interment will be in the Lebanon Lutheran Church cemetery.
She was born in Wythe County, Va. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and the Wythe County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Craig Moyers; her parents, Cloyd T. and Annie Minerva Walters Umberger; two sisters, Edna Musser and Atha Umberger; and a brother, Harmon David Umberger.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Dorothy M. Hogge of Powhatan, Va., and Hope M. Shropshire and Donald W. Warden of Wytheville, Va.; three grandsons, Randolph Craig Hogge, Steven Scott Shropshire and Mark Stewart Shropshire; three stepgrandchildren, George Shropshire III, Lynn Shropshire McBride and Nancy Hubbard; three great-stepgrandchildren; one brother, Raymond Umberger of Wytheville, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

Nannie Alverta Windle Quesenberry, 89, of Draper, Va., died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in the Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville, Va.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. at the Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va. Graveside services were held Sunday, Aug. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery, Wythe County, Va.
She was born Dec. 31, 1913, in Pulaski County, Va. She was a member of the Draper's Valley Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Smith Quesenberry Sr.; her parents, William and Bessie Windle; two grandsons, Wayne Akers and Mike Akers; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hughes.

Stacy Bernice Key Waller, 87, of Pinnacle, N.C., died Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at the Friends Union Friends Meeting. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 5, at 2 p.m. at Friends Union Friends Meeting with Pastor Frank Huffman, Pastor Carl Whittaker, Pastor Lem Sprinkle and the Rev. Bobby Shinault officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Jan. 30, 1916, in Ararat (Surry County), N.C., to Jasper David and Cora Vance Collins Key. She was a member of Friends Union Friends Meeting, was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and was an avid flower gardener.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Grady Waller; an infant son, W.G. Waller Jr.; a son-in-law, James R. Quesenberry; three brothers, Davis Key, Laurance Key and Clarence Key; and two sisters, Mildred Key Bryant and Mary Ruth Key Fulk.
Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law; Sheryl Waller and James A. He was born April 1, 1915, in Bland, Va., a son of the late Harve and Julia Hancock Pauley.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sylvia Rasnake Pauley; one son and daughter-in-law, Harvey Edward and Connie Pauley of Bland, Va.; one sister, Helen Blankenship of Bland, Va.; three grandchildren, Carla Mustard, Julie and Chris Pauley, all of Bland, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Brittni Mustard, Hannah Pauley and Anna Pauley, all of Bland, Va.

Edgar E. "Skip" Dillow, 81, of Bland, Va., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002.

He was born in Bland County, Va. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church where he served as superintendent for more than 40 years. He was retired from Radford Army Ammunitions Plant Security with 33 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 20. He was active in community activities, such as Festival of Leaves, Bland County Fair Association, Bland High School baseball and organized T-ball. He was an employee of Highland Funeral Service since 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Mary Hanshew Dillow; and two brothers, William Dillow and Harold Dillow.

He was born in Wythe County, Va. He was a charter member of Beulah United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee and on various committees and was active in the community. He was a retired mine foreman with the New Jersey Zinc Company with 43 years service and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raper and Minnie Shipwash Jackson; a son-in-law, Dennis Quesenberry; and three brothers, Henry Jackson, Glen Jackson and Lee Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mildred Lowe Jackson; one daughter, Betty Jackson Quesenberry of Austinville, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Jackson of Austinville, Va.; one granddaughter and spouse, Denise Quesenberry and Dexter Cain of Mt. Ira Marlowe "Mac" McKinney, 75, of Marion, Va., died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Va.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, at 8 p.m. at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, Va., with the Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday, Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. at West cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Francis Marion VFW Post 4667.
He was the son of the late Fred and Nanna Safewright McKinney. He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Army having served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was the recipient of many medals of valor, including four Purple Hearts, three Presidential Citations, Bronze Star and Silver Star. He was an Army recruiter in Richlands, Va., from 1960 to 1965 and graduated from Wytheville Community College in 1974. He was a member of Francis Marion VFW Post 4667. He retired from the Army in 1971 and became a farmer in Smyth County, Va.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred McKinney and Millard McKinney; and five sisters, Velma Sexton, Elsie Haggar, Ella Roberts, Mary Miller and Rosa McKinney.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Thompson McKinney; one daughter, Debbie McKinney of Marion, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Major Johnny and Faye McKinney of Iowa City, Iowa; four sisters, Iris Rich of Galax, Va., Stella Cox of Rural Retreat, Va., Naomi King and Mozelle Eversole, both of Wytheville, Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dickie and Genny McKinney of Nokesville, Va., and Jean and Glenna McKinney of Powell, Wyo.; three stepgrandchildren, Ronnie Ray, Lisa Gilliam and Sandy Roy; special friends, Clement Osborne and C.D. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnett "Chick" Hoback; two sisters, Lois Sheffey and Norfa S. McAllister; two brothers, Harry Sheffey and Hiley Sheffey; a son, James "Sonny" Hoback; a daughter, Glenda H. Crigger; a grandson, James S. She was a member of the Huddle United Methodist Church and was the last surviving member of her family.
