Robert L. Britt, 75, of Woodford went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 16, 2005.
He had retired after many years as a supervisor at General Products. He was a World War II Army veteran, a former commander of the flotilla with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and an avid hunter, fisherman and CB enthusiast. He was also a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Britt; four children, Virginia Mildner of Germany, Barbara Gaumer of Woodford, Gary Britt of Milford and Richard Britt of Bowling Green; two sisters, Jean Ramey and Sharon Wilson, both of Waynesboro; two brothers, Larry Wade of Waynesboro and Ballard Wade, Jr. of Florida; seven grandchildren, Marcel and Marco Mildner, Timmy and Tonia Gaumer, Holly and Dustin Britt, and Alicia Britt; and two great- grandchildren, Karen Williams and Brandie Gaumer. He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Britt and a grandson, Bobby Gaumer.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green, with the Rev. Tony Self officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn cemetery, Bowling Green.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 18, at the funeral home.

Patrick H. Getek, 95, of Washington, D.C., died Monday, March 14, 2005 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
Born in Caroline County, Mr. Getek was a streetcar and bus operator with D.C. Transit.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pauline C. Getek; three children, George J. and his wife, Ellen, of Burke, Christine D. Getek of Annandale and Timothy A. Getek of Greenbackville; and three grandchildren, Kathryn Getek, William Kammersell and Joyce Kammersell. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael and Mark Getek.
A funeral Mass will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 10306 Ladysmith Road, Ladysmith, with Monsignor William Sullivan officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 6 p.m. until the service time.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 17, in St. Cyril and Methodius cemetery, Woodford.

Annie Louise Crisp Coffey, 78, of Hopewell, formerly of Ruther Glen died Friday, February 18, 2005 in John Randolph Hospital, Hopewell.
Survivors include her children, William Henry Coffey, Jr. of Conroe, Texas, Keith Randolph Coffey of Henderson, North Carolina and LuAnn Matlick of Prince George;a sister, Frances Moon of Ladysmith; four brothers, Jake Crisp of Colonial Beach, George Crisp of Spotsylvania, Pete Crisp of Orange and Edwin Crisp of Ladysmith; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Henry Coffey, Sr.; her son, Bradley Coffey; three sisters, Christine, Ruby and Irene and two brothers, Eugene and Warren.

Lewis S. "Paul" Jones, Sr., 66, of Shumansville died Friday, February 18, 2005 at Memorial Regional Medical Center. He was the widower of Thelma Gray Jones and was a deacon at Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Shumansville.
He is survived by three children, Pamela Figg and her husband, Cary, of Shumansville, Richard Legg and his wife, Betty, of King William and Lewis S. "Paul" Jones, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Mechanicsville; a sister, Doris Dejong of Sandston; and a granddaughter, Amy Figg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin Figg.

Thelma B. Davis, 89, of Bowling Green died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at her home.
Born in Caroline County, she was the widow of Winston H. Davis and was a devout Jehovah's Witness for over 60 years.
Survivors include her sister, Daisy Campbell of Bowling Green; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and many dear friends.

David L. Myers, 67, of Ruther Glen died Friday, February 11, 2005 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Dave had retired from Rappahannock Electric Coop as line superintendent after 40 years of service and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary G. Myers of Milford; two daughters, Connie Lee and her husband, Mike, of Ruther Glen and Judith Armstrong and her husband, Billy, of Milford; his longtime companion, Lynn Crumpton of Ruther Glen; two brothers, Don Myers of Granite City, Illinois, and Dan Myers of Ruther Glen; two sisters, Jan Manning of Dillwyn and Joyce Wilcox of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christina Ambrose and her husband, Patrick, Jennifer Armstrong, Brandon Armstrong, Michael Lee and Julie Lee; and two great grandchildren, Makaylah Armstrong and Holdyn Ambrose.

Ada G. Jones, 93, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 in Marian Manor. Born in Alps, she had retired after working in the textile industry as a seamstress and had lived most of her adult life in Pennsylvania.
Survivors include several great nieces and nephews and several cousins. Mrs. Clarice M. Satterwhite Jacobs, 93, of Ruther Glen died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Bowling Green Healthcare Center.
Mrs. Jacobs was the oldest member of Carmel Baptist Church and had retired as a seamstress from Friedman Marks Clothing Co., after many years of service.
Survivors include four children; Frances S. Allen of Sparta, Claude A. "Hank" Satterwhite of Varina, Margaret S. Woods and Patsy S. Benner both of Ruther Glen; a brother, William Henry Middlebrook of Ruther Glen, eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jim Allen.

Betty Serrett Caldwell, 57, of Port Royal, died Thursday, February 3, 2005 in Mary Washington Hospital after a long illness. Betty was a life time member of the Port Royal Vol. Fire Department with over 35 years committed to the citizens of Caroline County. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Serrett and brother, Jeff Serrett.

Thomas Eddie Brooks, 90, of Ladysmith, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in Ashland Convalescent Center. He was the widower of Anna R. Brooks.

Dorothy Chance Cummings, 84, of Bowling Green died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the Bowling Green Health Care Center.
Born in Fredericksburg, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lillian Theobald Chance, and was the widow of Hurst H. Cummings.
She had retired after 30 years as deputy clerk of the Caroline District Court. She was a member of Bowling Green United Methodist Church and was a volunteer at Bowling Green Elementary School for over 12 years, where she served as a "Lunch Buddy". She volunteered at Bowling Green Health Care Center, was active with the Humane Society of Caroline County and had served as an officer in the Caroline Historical Society.
Survivors include a niece, Ann Sommer; a great-niece, Hannah Sommer; two great-nephews, David Chance and Brian Sommer; and special friends, Carolyn Davis, Roger Edwards and Edith Taylor.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29, at 3 p.m. at Bowling Green United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Linda Driver Ray officiating.

Carl R. Andress, Jr., 89, of Ruther Glen, formerly of Alexandria, died Tuesday, January 25, 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Andress; two daughters, Loretta Goss and Judy Hoover, both of Ruther Glen; a sister, Dorothy Rowan of Arlington; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Andress of Alexandria and Margaret Andress of Bowie, Maryland; 10 grandchildren, Robert and Christopher Goss, Dawn Cobb, Charles and Michael Hoover, Catherine Clements, Herb and Gail Lux, Penny Knupfer and Toni Lux-Magness; and 19 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Andress, and his identical twin brother, Norman Andress.

Amelia "Bobbie" S. Megenhardt, 75, of Ruther Glen, Virginia died Friday, January 21, 2005 at her home.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the widow of Frederick A. Megenhardt. She was a member of Wright's Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Gainer of Ruther Glen, Virginia; a son, Frederick A. Megenhardt, Jr., of Elkton, Maryland; three sisters; and five grandchildren.
