Elizabeth Ann (Betsy) Granger, of Ashland, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001. Preceded in death by her father, Robert D. Granger. Survived by her mother and husband, Clara White and E. Harold Stuart of Ashland; a sister and husband, Brenda G. and Mark Falconer of Mechanicsville; a niece and nephew, Katherine and Nicholas Falconer. Remains rest at the Laburnum Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 2110 E. Laburnum Ave., where friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, and where services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Dorothy H. Greene, of 7819 Kahlua Drive, departed this life April 18, 2001. The staff of the W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home is serving her family.
HALL
Virginia Storts Hall, 82, beloved wife of the late Thomas B. Hall, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2001, in Virginia Beach. She is survived by her two daughters, Gerri Hall of Richmond, and Marti Malabad and son-in-law, Ellis Malabad of Virginia Beach; grandson, Tom Malabad of Charlottesville; brother and sister-in-law, William and Maria Storts of Gulf Stream, Fla.; stepdaughter, Betty Hall Jenkins and husband, Cliff Jenkins of Burkeville, and their family; and several nieces and nephews. Virginia served during WWII in Europe as a "Donut Dolly" in the American Red Cross. Devoted to her husband and children, she was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church and St. Agnes Guild. The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Ave. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in Hollywood Cemetery. Departed this life April 13, 2001, in a local hospital, Oscar "Sonny" Holmes of Walkerton, Va. He was retired from the King and Queen Public Schools as a custodian-maintenance engineer. He is survived by three daughters, Ann Wiggins, Shirley Armstrong and LaSandia Holmes, all of Richmond; two sons, Albert L. Holmes and Oscar Holmes Jr., both of Walkerton; one sister, Fannie Holmes of Millville, N.J.; four brothers, Nathaniel Holmes of Swedesbora, N.J., John Holmes of Philadelphia, Pa., Calvin and St. Clair Holmes of Glassboro, N.J.; and six grandchildren. The body will lie in state Friday, April 20, from 12 to 7 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock, and one hour before service Saturday, April 21, at the church. Funeral service will be held April 21, 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Bruington, Va. Rev. James Hill, pastor, officiating. Interment Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, King and Queen Court House, Va. HUDDLE
Orville Cole Huddle, 79, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Richfield Nursing Home in Salem. A son of the late David Ray and Louella Cole Huddle, he was born June 5, 1921 in Shenandoah, Va. He attended Eastern Hgh School in Washington, D.C. and was a World War II veteran, serving in the 8th Army Air Corps. He flew in the first wave of bombers in the D-Day invasion. After serving his country, he resided in Alexandria, Va. and was an employee of Washington Gas Light Co. He has lived in Salem since his retirement in 1977 and worked part-time at Ditch Witch of Roanoke. He was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church of Salem. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Helen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Russell and Linda Duncan of Salem and Paul and Barbara Dillon of Richmond; four grandsons, Patrick Duncan of Ironto, Michael Duncan of Salem, David Duncan of New York and Jason Dillon of Richmond; one granddaughter, Aileen Bourgeois of Richmond; four great-grandsons; sister and brother-in-law, Gene and Lennis Bridget of La Plata, Md. and sister-in-law, Geraldine Huddle of Falls Church. He was preceded in death by a son. Orville Cole Huddle Jr. and a brother, Shirley Huddle of Falls Church. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Keith A.

ISAACS
Lloyd Woodson Isaacs, 85, of Richmond, died April 19, 2001. He was retired from sales at Sears & Roebuck and was a WWII Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Owens Isaacs; and a son, Randolph Travis Isaacs. Survived by a daughter, Libby Isaacs Chandler and her husband, Bill Chandler. Also survived by three granddaughters, two great-granddaughters; devoted nephew, Roland White and his wife, Inez White. Remains rest at the West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Annie E. Jackson, age 83, of Amelia, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 18, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Jackson Sr.; daughter, Alice Broadnax; two sons, Sherman and Robert L. Jackson Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Angeline J. Wingo (Calvin); two sons, Alexander Jackson (Catherine) and William Jackson (Mary Ann); daughter-in-law, Mary W. Jackson; son-in-law, Reuben Broadnax Sr.; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Michael W. William F. "Billy" Johnson, 75, of Richmond, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Johnson; son, Charles F. Johnson; daughter, Ruth Ann Mercadante; three grandchildren, Joey Henderson, Shannon Mercadante and Christopher Mercadante; and his sister, Thelma J. Henderson. Mr.

KELLAM
Albert Staness Kellam Jr., born October 22, 1920, passed away, Wednesday, April 18, 2001. He was the son of the late A.S. Kellam and Winifred Dean Kellam; grandson of the late William Harper Dean of the First Virginia Infantry. He is survived by his wife, Jane Ridley Kellam; his daughters, Mary Dean Burckhardt of Germany and Ridley Kellam Fleck of Richmond; his grandchildren, Jacob Kellam Fleck, Mary Ridley Fleck and William Dean Fleck. Mr. Kellam was an Eagle Scout of Troop 35, Richmond, Va., graduated from McGuire's University School in 1938 and the University of Richmond with a B.S. in 1942. He served in WWII as a lieutenant in the Navy. He was the founder and chairman of Cavalier Industries of Sandston and also a member of the board of directors of Franklin Federal Savings of Richmond since 1960. He was a member of Sandston Rotary Club since 1967. A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Sandston Presbyterian Church. There will be no formal visitation. Interment is private. Marie Westhoven Kooger, 84, of Richmond, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001. She was the widow of Renz Kooger. Survivors include her daughter, Karen K. Witt; son, David B. Kooger; sister, Antonette Rozell; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Frank J. Muto, 80, of Petersburg, died Thursday, April 19, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Josephine McFadden Muto; two daughters, Pamela M. Palmore and her husband, S. Bryant Palmore of Petersburg, Michelle M. Russell of Colonial Heights; two grandchildren, Lauren Brooke Palmore and Austin Tyler Russell; one sister, Carmella M. Muto of Petersburg; one brother, John A. Muto and his wife, Romaine of Blossburg, Pa.; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Frank was a veteran of WWII. He retired from the Alcohol Beverage Control Board, after 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a member and active tabulator, usher and volunteer at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Petersburg and a member of the Knights of Columbus. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 21, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Immediately following the funeral, a graveside service will be held at Southlawn Memorial Park.
