Fredrick Delmont Gordon of Richmond, died Saturday, November 28, 1998. He is survived by three sons, Fred Jr., Douglas and William H. Gordon; several nieces and nephews; and many other friends. Blanche Dickinson Henson, 80, of Buena Vista, died Sunday, November 29, 1998 in the Oak Hill Health Care Center, Staunton, Va. She was born April 25, 1918 in Buena Vista, daughter of the late, John Harvey and Mary Jordan Dickinson. She was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mickey Henson. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly H. Bailey of Richmond; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Diane Henson of Pawleys Island, S.C.; three grandchildren, Cameron, Christopher and Alex Bailey, all of Richmond; brother, Tom Dickinson Sr. of Buena Vista. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 1998 at the St. John's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Edward Johnson and Rev. Ben Burks officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Lomax Funeral Home, Buena Vista. Mrs. Layne was a retired music teacher, church organist and choral director. Puryear Jr., Nathalie Michelle Pena and her husband, Gilberto (Gil) Pena; three grandsons, Gabriel (Gabe) Pena, Logan Matthew and Ryan Michael Puryear; one granddaughter, Madison Lee Puryear. Allen Grey "Wimpy" Roberts, 61, of Mechanicsville, died Friday, November 27, 1998. He was a Newport News resident most of his life and had retired as a Chief Clerk for the C&O Railway Company after 35 years of service. Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Beverley; and is survived by two daughters, Karen R. Smith and her husband, Ray of South Boston; and Kerri R. Pagans and her husband, James of Roanoke; a son, Kevin Neal Roberts of Macon, Ga.; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Roberts of Newport News; a sister, Jean R. Terry of Yorktown; a brother, Kenneth W. Roberts of Centerville; and five grandchildren, Travis and Melissa Smith, Zachary and Matthew Pagans and Taylor Roberts. Lauderdale, Fla., Deborah Lett Fetner of High Point, N.C., and Leslie Ann Wood of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandsons, Michael Douglas Wood of Los Angeles, Calif., and Keith Woodson Stewart of Richmond; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Freemon Flynn of Ft.
