Mr. Rice, 70, of Bristol Tennessee died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Effie Gordon Riley will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Spring Hill Cemetery in Harrodsburg, Ky. The Rev. Les Rust will officiate. The body has been taken to McClellan Funeral Home in Harrodsburg.
Mrs. Riley, 90, of Grand Court, Bristol, Va., died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.

CLINTWOOD -- Funeral services for Bertha Cox Rose will be conducted Sunday at 11 a.m. in Clintwood Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Franklin Hall will officiate. Burial will be in McFall Cemetery, Route 2, Clintwood.
Mrs. Rose, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2000, in Dickenson County Medical Center in Clintwood.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and sons-in-law.

Nicklous Ed Tiller
LEBANON -- Nicklous Ed Tiller, 11, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center.
He was a son of Patty Honaker of Lebanon and Ed Tiller of
Johnson City, and was a fifth-grade student at Lebanon Middle School. He attended Lebanon Community Fellowship.
Surviving, besides his parents, are four brothers, Logan Tiller of the home, Scott Honaker of Lebanon, Greg Honaker of
Johnson City and Dee Tiller of Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Vickie Tiller and Toni Johnson, both of Chambersburg, Pa.; maternal grandmother, Arlie
Smith of Castlewood; and paternal grandmother, Marie Tiller of Abingdon.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in Russell County Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Duane Musick will officiate. Burial will be in Maxfield and
Smith Family Cemetery.
Among survivors are several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Smith, Charlie Ray, Dave Honaker, Jamie Nash, Doug Smith, John Nash, Henry Ray, Scott Hubbard, Ricky Maxfield and Bradley Warner.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home or any time at the home.

TAZEWELL, Va. -- Mary O'Dell Baugh, 91, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, in Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va.

CEDAR BLUFF -- Charles "Buck" Beavers, 64, of the Raven Nest Branch section, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Tazewell County, a son of the late James Doak and Virgie Mae Sayers Beavers, and attended Bandy Freewill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Barnes-Beavers VFW Post 7136 in Tazewell, Va.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Rasnake Beavers; two sons, Keith Beavers of Abingdon and Wayne Beavers of Wardell, Va.; six brothers, Cecil Beavers of Fredericksburg, Va., George Beavers of Nevada, Walter Beavers of Tip Top, Va., James D. Beavers Jr. of Cedar Bluff, Robert Beavers, of Lodi, Ohio, and Roger Beavers of Cliffield, Va.; three sisters, Virginia Burress of Cliffield, Frances
Brown of Roanoke and Betty Patterson of North Tazewell, Va.; three granddaughters and a grandson.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Singleton Funeral Service Chapel. The Revs. Sam Altizer and Gerald Stacy will officiate. Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va., with military graveside rites by Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640 and Tazewell County Chapter 31 DAV.
Mr. Beavers was also preceded in death by a brother, Glen Beavers.
Among survivors are granddaughters, Kesha Beavers, Tabitha Beavers and Kelli Beavers; and a grandson, Lance Beavers.

Wanda N. Clear
SALTVILLE -- Wanda N. Clear, 85, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, in Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion.
She was a daughter of the late James and Sadie Clear, and was a retired teacher of the Smyth County School System.
She was a member of Madam Russell United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Mount Rose Cemetery by D.R. Henderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott A. Robertson-Gouge will officiate.
Among survivors are several cousins.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service Tuesday in D.R. Henderson Funeral Home.
James A. Collins
WISE -- James Allen "Bo" Collins, 56, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2000, at his home.
He was a son of the late Kedrick and Nell Cox Collins and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Hardrock Construction Co. and a former employee of Wilder Coal Co.
Surviving are a sister, Judy Hamilton of Wise; three brothers, Kenneth Collins, Richard Collins and Ronnie L. Collins, all of Wise; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise. The Rev. Robert Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in Collins Family Cemetery.
Mr. Collins was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph K. Collins and Larry D. Collins.
Among survivors are a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home, where a service will be held at 7 p.m. The Rev. Cliff Bowman will officiate.

Ellen Dishman
GRUNDY -- Ellen Dishman, 84, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, in Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy.
She was born in Dante, a daughter of the late Tyler and Elizabeth Meade Dishman.
Surviving are four sisters, Thelma Hulsey of Castlewood, Daisy Simms of Springfield, Tenn., Edna James and Louretta Willard, both of Baltimore; four brothers, Warren Dishman and McCormic Dishman, both of Dante, Richard Dishman of Cleveland, Va., and Ralph Dishman of Tupelo, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood. The Rev. Dwayne Musick will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Kiser, Rick Johnson, Vick Rhea, Andrew Rhea, Daniel Rhea, Eddie Robins and Ralph Maples.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Castlewood Funeral Home.
