Raymond Sidney Brown, M.D., 82, of Gloucester, Va., died on May 29, 2001. Dr.
Brown practiced family medicine in Gloucester for 43 years. He was born July 9, 1918, to Joseph Walter

Brown received his B.S. in pharmacy in 1942 and his M.D. in 1945, both degrees are from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). He was president of the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) in 1976, and in 1977 the MSV gave him its highest honor, the A.H. Robins Award for Community Service. For 15 years, he was a member of the Virginia delegation to the American Medical Association. He served as a member of the Virginia Medical Journal Editorial Board (MSV) and of the Advisory Board of MCV. Helen Baber Cash of Midlothian, wife of Thurman S. Cash Jr., departed this life on Tuesday, May 29, 2001. She was the daughter of the late John Dabney Baber and Dewey Cash Baber of Richmond. Mrs. Cash was the mother of Pamela Cash Miller & Thurman S. Cash III, who survive her. She is also survived by grandchildren, James F. McInteer IV and his wife, Juanita, Andrew Dabney Miller, Emily Elizabeth Miller, their father & Pamela's husband, N.S. "Bud" Miller III. Other survivors include her sister, Madge B. Green; her husband, Mason W. Green; nephew, Mason W.
Green Jr.; and niece, Marcia G. Broocks. Mrs. Cash was the co-founder and vice president of the Thurman S. Cash Jr. & Son Insurance Agency, Inc. of Bon Air and was the inspiration in the family business for more than 40 years. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and the Elliot Gray's Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Cash was a charter member and past president of the Nottingham Garden Club and past member of the Southampton Woman's Club. Her remains rest at the Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Home's Central Chapel, 3801 Augusta Ave., where the family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Christian wake. Service at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church on Thursday, May 31 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Virginia "Jenny" Wilson Clark, 41, of Mechanicsville, passed away May 26, 2001. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Guthrie. She is survived by her husband, James R. Clark; daughters, Latrisha D. Walton and Samantha R. Spicer; two sons, Robert J. Doak and Daniel W. Jenkins; three grandchildren; father, Arnold J. Wilson; stepmother, Betty Wilson; two brothers, Danny Wilson and Richie Wilson; and stepfather, Herman E. Guthrie. Eugenia Hay Ellett, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2001. She was born in Greensboro, N.C., the daughter of Adolph McClary Hay and Annie Kime Hay. She was retired from Children Inc. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Ellett Underwood; two sons, John Hay Ellett and Timothy Fields Ellett; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one nephew and his wife, Randy and Charlotte Ridgeley. Clifford Bridges Fleet, 90, son of the late Mollie Bridges Fleet and Rutherfoord Fleet, died Monday, May 28, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Margery James Fleet; a son, Dr. Clifford B. Fleet Jr.; a sister, Mollie Macgill Fleet; three grandsons, Clifford B. Fleet III, David R. Fleet and Charles O'B. Fleet; a granddaughter, Whitney Thomas-Fleet; and a great-granddaughter. Mr Fleet attended McGuire's University School and was a graduate of the Episcopal High School and The University of Virginia. In World War II, he served as a lieutenant commander in Naval Intelligence. Mr. Fleet retired as vice president and secretary-treasurer of Lawyers Title Insurance Co. Myrtis M. Foster, 78, of Petersburg, widow of Willie Thomas Foster, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 in Southside Regional Medical Center. She was born in McKenney and was the daughter of the late James E. and Alice Lewis Mayton. She was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean F. and Stuart F. Willis Sr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; grandson, Stuart F. Willis Jr. and his wife, Angela; and great-grandchild, Caroline Ray Willis, all of Midlothian; two sisters, Maude M.

Diane Hartless Fudala, 70 of West Point, Va., died Wednesday, May 30, 2001. Diane was a dedicated nurse for 24 years of service to King William County Health Department. Her husband, Michael John Fudala, preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Patti Bokach of Leawood, Kansas, Geri Rothemich and Linda Garren, both of Richmond, Va.; a son, Paul Fudala of New Kent; four sisters, Camilla Moore of Sandston, Nancy Bunders of Poquoson, Patricia Forrest of Gwyns Island and Harriet Alexander of Mechanicsville; and seven grandchildren. Willie Moore Krausse Gray, 102, of Richmond, widow of Spott C. Krausse and Cecil Gray, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001. She is survived by her son, Spott C. Krausse Jr. and his wife, Christine B. Krausse of Richmond; stepdaughter, Ellen Gray Anderson and her husband, Emmett Anderson of Memphis, Tenn.; stepson, John C. Gray and his wife, Anne Gray of Williamsburg; sister, Valera M. McLarty of High Point, N.C.; nine grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gray was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church. Elizabeth Banton Griffin, 75, died Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Kershaw County Hospital in Camden, South Carolina. Born in Buckingham County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Banton and Maude Scott Banton. She was predeceased by three brothers, John M. Banton, Herman A. Banton and Charles Wesley Banton. Mrs. Griffin is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harry E.
