Denver C. Holbrook Sr.
WISE -- Denver Creed Holbrook Sr., 70, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in St. Mary's Hospital in Norton.
He was of the Baptist faith, a retired coal miner formerly employed with Old Ben Coal Co. and Flat Gap Mining Co. and a member of UMWA. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are a son, Denver Creed Holbrook Jr. of Wise; three daughters, Pamala Holbrook of Asheville, N.C., Mary Louemma Gillenwater of Wise and Terisa Ramey of Coeburn; a brother, Earl Holbrook of Wise; three sisters, Alice Mullins, Bessie Osborne and Beatrice Adkins, all of Wise; 11 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise. The Rev. David Walters will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in
Powell Valley Memorial Gardens in Big Stone Gap with military rites by VFW Post 4301 of Norton and DAV Chapter 56 of Wise. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 10 a.m. for the graveside services.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home.
Mark D. Honaker
ROSEDALE, Va. -- Funeral services for Mark Duane Honaker will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Honaker Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Mike Dye and Roy Lee Wilson will officiate. Burial will be in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon.
Mr. Honaker, 34, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in a Lebanon hospital.
Pallbearers will be relatives and friends.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, where a service will be held at 7 p.m. The Rev. Eugene Miller will officiate.

Bonnie L. Luttrell
KINGSPORT -- Funeral services for Bonnie L. Luttrell will be conducted Tuesday at 8 p.m. in East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Paul F. Becker will officiate. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in East Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Luttrell, 57, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Indian Path Medical Center.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday in East Lawn Funeral Home.

ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Hubert S. McCrady will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in
Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Damascus. The Rev. Harry Layell will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus.
Mr. McCrady, of Highlands Retirement Village and formerly of Damascus, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be George W. Baker, David Kiser, Eddie Evans, Bob Widener, Bill McCall and Melvin Ritchie. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Martin, Jim Osborne, Connie Mack Steele, the men's Sunday school class of Laurel Community Church and Dr. Theodore T. Thompson.

Densel L. Milem
Densel L. Milem, 75, of Bristol Virginia and formerly of Glen Daniels, W.Va., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Beckley Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II and an auto salesman in California. While living in Bristol, he was an auto body repairman and painter for Wallace Oldsmobile and a unit painter for Line Power Manufacturing Co.
Surviving are four sons, Daniel Milem, Richard Milem and Stanley Milem, all of South Charleston, W.Va., and Quincy Milem of Bristol Virginia; two daughters, Christi M. Chase of Columbus, Ga., and Janice Milem of South Charleston; two stepdaughters, Evelyn Booher and Donna Stroup, both of Bristol Virginia; a sister, Agnes
Brown of Hinton, W.Va.; a brother, Donald Milem of Alderson, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday in West Virginia.

GREENEVILLE, Tenn. -- Cora Lee Mitchell Miller, 84, of Plaza Towers, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Hayes and Alice Jennings Mitchell and the widow of William "Bill" Miller. She was a member of Central Christian Church and retired from Hotel Brumley and Magnavox Co.
Surviving are six brothers, Frank Mitchell of Hockessin, Del., Troy Mitchell of Fairmont, Ind., Henry Mitchell of Bristol Tennessee, Fay Michell of Telford, J.D. Mitchell of
Johnson City and Billy Mitchell of Greene County; two sisters, Mary Etta Bowman and Geraldine Jones, both of Greene County; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Greeneville.

James Allen Necessary
James Allen Necessary, 54, of Bristol Virginia died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.
He was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a son of J.B. Necessary and the late Willie Ada Pullon Necessary. He was self-employed in the auto restoration business, a member of Mary's Chapel Church and attended Fellowship Chapel.
Surviving, besides his father, are his wife, Cindy Necessary; a sister, Mary N. Brewer; a niece; a nephew; and a great-nephew.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Necessary Family Cemetery by Akard Funeral Home. The Revs. Donald Denton and Scott Price will officiate.
Among survivors are niece Penny Neal, nephew Phil Brewer and great-nephew Josh Neal.
Pallbearers will be Dee Carrier, Frank Kelley, Chris Fauver, Mark Fauver, Brad Hale, Gordon
Smith and Michael Bolyard. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors.

Mrs. Smithson, 87, of 423 Sandbar Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.

Leonard W. Spangler Sr.
CEDAR BLUFF -- Leonard Winfred "Wink" Spangler Sr., 72, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, in a Richlands hospital.
He was born in Lomax, W.Va., a son of the late Christopher and Maggie Christian Spangler, both Tazewell County natives. He was a longtime resident of the Cedar Bluff area and attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was a former deputy sheriff for Tazewell County and most recently, a retired employee of George Cox Trucking in Cedar Bluff. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Jackson Spangler; a daughter, Bridgett S. Wilson of Cedar Bluff; three sons, Leonard Spangler Jr. of Winfield, W.Va., Michael Dean Spangler of Marion and Michael Lynn Spangler of Swords Creek; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands. The Revs. Tony Shrader and Allen Stilwell will officiate. Burial will be in Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands with military graveside rites by members of the Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640 of Richlands and the Disabled American Veterans Tazewell County Chapter 31.
Mr. Spangler was also preceded in death by a daughter, Loretta Lynn Spangler; two sisters, Georgia Spangler and Virginia Crigger; and four brothers, Herbert, Don, Arnold and Bill Spangler.
Among survivors are grandchildren Ashley Wilson, Natasha Watkins, Christopher Spangler, Caroline Spangler, Shawn Spangler and Eric Spangler.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
