BELFAST, Va. -- Memorial services for Jessie Leona Taylor will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Belfast United Methodist Church in Belfast by Hurst-Scott Funeral Home of Richlands.
The Rev. Carol Ferguson will officiate.
Burial will be in Ballenberger Family Cemetery in Belfast.
Mrs. Taylor, 77, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in a Lebanon health care center.
The family will receive friends in the church an hour before the service Friday.

Elbert F. Tucker
BLUFF CITY -- Elbert Franklin Tucker, 87, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in
Johnson County, a son of the late Herbert S. and Matilda Burton Tucker.
He was a 1932 graduate of Watauga Academy and a 1953 graduate of East Tennessee State College.
He also attended Appalachian State University at Boone, N.C.
He was a schoolteacher in
Johnson County and retired from the Sullivan County School System.
He participated in the Watauga Academy Alumni Association.
He was a former member of Little Doe Baptist Church in Butler, Tenn., and currently a member of First Baptist Church of Bluff City.
He was a member of Zollicoffer Masonic Lodge 444 in Bluff City and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in Scotland, England, France and Germany.
He was the widower of Susan Farthing Tucker.
Surviving are a daughter, Jenny Lynn Tucker Farthing of Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Louise Pleasant and Florence Tucker, both of Butler; two brothers, Troy Tucker of Bristol and Warren Tucker of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Memorial Funeral Chapel in Elizabethton, Tenn.
Clara C. Yates
LEBANON, Ohio -- Clara Chandler Yates, 75, formerly of East Stone Gap, Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, in Lebanon, Ohio.
Surviving are four sons, Clarence Yates of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Steve Yates of Lebanon, Ohio, Ken Yates of Boardman, Ohio, and Jim Yates of Brunswick, Ohio; two sisters, Coreena Wagner and Hazel Gilley, both of Big Stone Gap; a brother, Pearl Chandler of Big Stone Gap; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise.
The Rev. Gerald Osborne will officiate.
Burial will be in Round Top Cemetery.
Among survivors is former husband, Glenn Yates.
The family will receive friends from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sturgill Funeral Home.

ABINGDON -- Funeral services for Grayson Yates will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in Farris Funeral Chapel.
Joe Sluss and the Rev. Dr. Steven Pollard will officiate.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
Mr. Yates, 90, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Benny Yates, Don Carty, Mack Rose, Nicholas Sluss, Asa Large and Darrell Anderson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Puckett, Rocky Carty, Carroll Baker and the Abingdon Baptist Church family.

Mrs. Barbour, 92, of 1 Liberty Place, Bristol, Va., died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Ollie Mae Breeding
CLEVELAND, Va. -- Ollie Mae Breeding, 81, of the Clinchfield community died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2000, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Russell County, of the Baptist faith and the widow of the Rev. Walter Breeding.
Surviving are four daughters, Sue Rasnick and Linda Rakes Bartley, both of Lebanon, Eunis Owens of Richmond and Frances
Johnson of King William, Va.; five sons, James Breeding, Jack Breeding and Curtis Breeding, all of Cleveland, Douglas Breeding of Lebanon and Silas Breeding of Petersburg; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Lebanon Funeral Home Chapel.
The Revs. Clyde Lambert, Roy Lee Wilson and Ralph Younce will officiate.
Burial will be in Russell Memorial Cemetery.

CASTLEWOOD -- Thelma Castle, 82, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon.
She was born in Russell County, a daughter of the late Jack and Nannie Puckett Minton.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd Castle; two daughters, Jean Stevens and Mary Wright, both of Castlewood; two sons, Glenn Castle and John Castle, both of Castlewood; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood.
