HEREFORD, Texas -- Joe Marshall, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000.
He was born in St. Paul, Va., and moved to Texas in 1941. In 1984, he moved to Hereford from Perryton. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and graduate from West Texas State University in 1946. He was employed in the retail business and was a member of Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bonna Throckmorton; a sister, Charlotte Pardue of Charlottesville, Va.; and a brother, Ray Marshall of Bristol Virginia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in Texas.
Gililland-Watson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

BREAKS, Va. -- Funeral services for Larry Douglas Meadows will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Poplar Creek Church of Christ. Don Ashby, pastor, and evangelists Jerry Edwards and Roy Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Rice & Slone Cemetery in Breaks.
Mr. Meadows, 49, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Humana Hospital Clinch Valley, Richlands.

Dearborn, Mich. -- William "Bill" Nash, 85, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in Dearborn.
He was born in Russell County, a son of the late William and Sallie Nash. He had lived in Dearborn for the past 65 years.
Surviving are his wife, Callie Parrott Nash; a daughter, Eva Nash of Detroit; a son, Billy Nash of Utica, Mich.; three granddaughters, Janie Lee, Jackie Bloink and Kim Daniels; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in Lebanon Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Kiser will officiate. Burial will be in Russell Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in Lebanon Funeral Home Chapel.

CALICO ROCK, Ark. -- Funeral services for Irene Blevins Poston will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville.
Mrs. Poston, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Calico Rock.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Blevins.
Among survivors are grandchildren Brian, Chad and Matthew Krieter, Bryan Hood, Shannon, Kelli and Justin Price, and Colleen and Kaitlyn Walters, and Aaron, Code, Sam and Chad Poston; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Haley Krieter.

Martha Jane Cross Presnell of 273 Alexa Lane, Bristol, Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in Wellmont Hospice House.

CASTLEWOOD -- Helen Willis Skeen, 83, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at the home of a son.
She was a lifelong resident of Russell County, attended Maple Grove Community Church and was the widow of Albert Skeen.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Barbara Jean) Nunley of Lebanon; a son, Albert L. Skeen of Castlewood; two sisters, Mrs. Maynard Jessee of Lebanon and Catherine Walker of Richmond; a brother, Burns Willis of Fallen Water, W.Va.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Lebanon Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Bill Snead and Myers Vicars will officiate. Burial will be in Willis Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Jonah Stiltner
MAXIE, Va. -- Jonah Stiltner, 94, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and a son of the late Charles and Sophie OQuinn Stiltner. He was a member of Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church and a retired employee of Harman Mining Co. with 40 years of service. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America Local Union 7025 and the widower of Alice Faye Clevinger Stiltner.
Surviving are three daughters, Jean Dye of Maxie, Mary Helen Sanders of Breaks and Virginia Stiltner of Lynchburg; a son, Estil Kenneth Stiltner of Maxie; a sister, Mrs. Ivel Fletcher of Vansant; a brother, Coy Stiltner of Maxie; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Bull Creek Old Regular Baptist Church in Harman by Grundy Funeral Home. Elders Howard Daniels, Frank OQuinn, Jackie Yates, Roger Coleman, Toy Looney and Jerry Newsome will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain Valley Memorial Park in Big Rock, Va.
Mr. Stiltner was also preceded in death by a daughter, Louise Coleman; two sons, Ersel and Russell J. Stiltner; three sisters, Nettie Keen, Alice Stiltner and Lucy Elswick; and four brothers, Roland, Garland, Carl and Ernest Stiltner.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
There will be services at the church Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Harold Lee Trivett
Harold Lee Trivett, 65, of Bristol Tennessee, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area, a retired employee of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. with 19 years of service and also was employed in custodial services. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Trivett; four sisters, Marie Peltier and Peggy Farmer, both of Bristol Virginia, Joan
Jones of Bristol Tennessee and Laura Mae Trivett of Lynchburg, Va.; three brothers, Bill Trivett of West Virginia and Alfred Trivett and Richard Trivett, both of Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lester MacKinnon will officiate. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Glenwood Cemetery with military honors by Patton-Crosswhite VFW Post 6975 of Bristol Tennessee.
Among survivors is sister-in-law Artie Mae Trivett of Bristol Tennessee.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Trivett, Mark Peltier, Ricky Trivett, Corey Callahan, Joey
Jones and Gail Jones.

Flossie A. Short Clark, 89, of 2211 Denton Valley Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Denton Valley Community, a former employee of Big Jack Manufacturing Co. and of the Holiness faith. She was the widow of Frank Short and Andrew Clark.
Surviving are a niece, Goldie Bevins; and four nephews, Arvie Woods, Doug Rush, Dan Rush and Sammy Wyatt.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Jess Neal and Gene Lowe will officiate. Burial will be in Wyatt Cemetery.
Among survivors are foster son, Boyd Rutherford; four foster grandchildren; five foster great-grandchildren; and three foster great-great-grandchildren.
