BLUFF CITY -- Graveside services for John Eugene Osborne will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Rooty Branch Cemetery.
Mr. Osborne, 90, of 429 Old Thomas Bridge Road, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Irene B. Poston
CALICO ROCK, Ark. -- Irene Blevins Poston, 66, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Calico Rock.
She was born in Saltville, Va., a daughter of the late Roscoe and Nellie Hogston Blevins. She was employed as a clerk/housekeeper with Jenkins Motel in Calico Rock for the past eight years.
Surviving are her husband, Melvin Poston; two sons, James Poston of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jeff Poston of Pilot Point, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. David (Sandra) Krieter and Mrs. Rick (Debby) Price, both of Chesterton, Ind., and Mrs. Bill (Cathy) Walters of Schererville, Ind.; a brother, Jack Blevins of Bristol Tennessee; four sisters, Peggy Helton, Mary Zebridis, Daphne Frye and Connie Sword, all of Saltville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville.
Howell T. Rasnick
WATAUGA, Tenn. -- Howell T. Rasnick, 62, of 787 Watauga Road, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in
Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.
He was born in
Carter County, Tenn., a son of the late James and Ethel Spears Rasnick. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church and Dashiell Masonic Lodge 238 AF&AM. He was an antique dealer and former employee of Paty Lumber. He was a former member of Tennessee National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Bradshaw Rasnick; a daughter, Susan Vanhoy of Watauga; a son, Allen Rasnick of Elizabethton; two sisters, Daisy Ornduff of Elizabethton and Zella Phillips of Bluff City; six brothers, Cobern Rasnick of Clintwood, Harold Rasnick, Dennis Rasnick, Dallas Rasnick and Keith Rasnick, all of Bluff City, and Tony Rasnick of Elizabethton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home. The Revs. Hollace Ford and Melvin Ferrell will officiate. Music will be by Bo and JoAnn Campbell. Graveside services will be in Happy Valley Memorial Park.
Among survivors are son-in-law Jerry Vanhoy of Watauga; daughter-in-law Kimerley Rasnick of Elizabethton; grandchildren Thomas Ledford and Nicole Vanhoy, both of Watauga, Daniel Rasnick, Elisha Rasnick, Jovanda Tipton and Rhonda Bishop, all of Elizabethton, and Robin Bolton of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandchildren Whitney and Nathan Bishop and Chrisann Bolton, all of Elizabethton, Alexia and Hannah Bolton of Charlotte; brothers-in-law Dan Ornduff and Sam Bradshaw, both of Elizabethton, Steve Phillips of Bluff City and Tim Holtsclaw of Hampton, Tenn.; sisters-in-law Helen Rasnick of Clintwood, Dottie Rasnick of Bluff City and Kathy Rasnick, Charlotte White and Jeanette Bradshaw, all of Elizabethton, and Rita Holtsclaw of Hampton.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Range, Mack Lyons, John Malone, Mark Hyatt, Terry Barker, Robby Murphy and Dean Rasnick.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Tetrick Funeral Home Riverside Chapel.

Daisy H. Reynolds
FORT PIERCE, Fla. -- Daisy Harman Reynolds, 87, formerly of Tazewell, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in a Fort Pierce nursing home.
She was the widow of Taze Reynolds.

Joan Roberts
ATHENS, Ga. -- Joan Roberts, 67, of 4 S. Stratford Drive, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999.
She was born in Weaverly, Tenn., a daughter of the late Robert Neal McCauley and Eva Byrd McCauley. She had lived in Albany, Ga., before moving to Athens in 1988. She was employed with Athens/Clarke County Tax Commissioner's Office.
Surviving are her husband, Harold O. Roberts; a daughter, Julia A. Humphries of Duluth; two sons, Richard S. Roberts of Austell and Michael W. Roberts of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother, Wayne McCauley of Hermitage, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday in Athens.

Paul Stanley
COEBURN -- Funeral services for Paul Stanley will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Rachel Chapel Freewill Baptist Church by Clintwood Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Phipps and Lester Mullins will officiate. Burial will be in Paul Stanley Cemetery, Route 2, Coeburn.
Mr. Stanley, 75, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, in Norton Community Hospital.
Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law.

Stanley E. Trinkle
KINGSPORT -- Stanley Edward "Red" Trinkle, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Asbury Center at Baysmont.
He was born in Norton, a son of the late John and Laura B. Trinkle. He had lived in Norton until moving to Kingsport in the 1970s. He was co-owner of Victory Coal Co. and Norton Motor Inn in Norton. He was a member of Anderson Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Louise Bruce Trinkle; a daughter, Connie Bucca of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Gabe Bucca, Lisa Padgett, Steve Bucca and Lara Bucca; a great-grandson, Mack Padgett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marlin S. Jaynes Jr. will officiate. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in
Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Trinkle was also preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Fuller; and a brother, Oakley Trinkle.
Among survivors is a son-in-law, Frank Bucca of Kingsport.
Mr. Trinkle was active in the Norton Volunteer Fire Department and an avid University of Tennessee football fan.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Chapel, downtown.

Paul A. Trivett
Paul A. "Alfie" Trivett, 49, of 715 Maryland Ave., Bristol, Tenn., died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Damascus, a son of Virginia Clark Dugger and the late Paul James Trivett. He lived in Bristol for the past 20 years.
Surviving, besides his mother are, a son, Chad Trivett; a sister, Ruth Ann Hess; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. The Revs. Frank Woods and Ted Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Also surviving are three aunts, Shirley Roark and Ruth Parson, both of Mountain City, and Myrtle Trivett of Damascus.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel.

PAYNESVILLE, W.Va. -- Funeral services Raymond Viers will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Maple Grove Church of Christ at Keen Ridge Road, Va., by Buchanan Funeral Service of Keen Mountain, Va. Hobart Kennedy and Burb Rife, pastors, will officiate. Burial will be in Noah Stewart Cemetery in Keen Ridge Road, Va.
Mr. Viers, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in a Bluefield, W.Va. hospital.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the church.

Don E. Wormser
CHILHOWIE -- Don E. Wormser, 46, formerly of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon.
He was a son of Art and Crossette Goebel of Hendersonville, N.C.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, Carol Lester Wormser; two daughters, Sandra Griffin of Chilhowie and Tabetha Spradling of Daytona, Fla.; three brothers, Paul Goebel and Bruce Goebel, both of Illinois, and Mark Goebel of Port Orange, Fla.; his grandmother, Teresa Germann of Hendersonville; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.
Among survivors are grandchildren Kimberly and Brandon Griffin of Chilhowie; and son-in-law William Griffin of Chilhowie.
