Funeral services for Jane Jenks Decker will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Russell County Funeral Home Chapel in Lebanon. The Rev. Dr. Tony Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Gilmer Family Cemetery in Hansonville.
Mrs. Decker, 77, of 101 Ridgewood Road, Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, March 11, 2000, at her home.
Pallbearers will be David Jenks, Paul Jenks, Paul Helvey, A.K. Gilmer III, Joe Gilmer, Coy Hess and Sam Reynolds.

Dorothy Edna Humphries
MARION -- Dorothy Edna Humphries, 90, died Sunday, March 11, 2000, in Smyth County Community Hospital.
She was born in Owsego, Tenn., a daughter of the late Rosa Huddleston and James Bowman. She was the widow of Curtis Edwards and, with her husband, was owner and operator of several restaurants throughout the southeast. She was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a stepson, A.C. Edwards of Illinois; three nieces, Mrs. James (Barbara) Shoun, of Bristol Virginia, Mrs. Enoch (Norma) Senter of Clintwood and Mrs. Ralph (Mildred) Blizzard of Blountville.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol. The Rev. Danny Thompson will officiate.

Kenneth Darrel Mullins
WISE -- Kenneth "Ken" Darrel Mullins, 46, of Glade Street died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at his home.
He was born in Norton, a son of the late Clyde and Violet Slone Mullins. He was a lifelong resident of Wise County, an equipment operator for Cumberland Resources in Norton and attended Norton Church of God in the Ramsey section of Norton. He was involved in the Norton Lions Club, where he was a member for 11 years, having served as president during 1998-1999. He received the Melvin
Jones Fellowship Award, the highest award presented by Lions Club International Foundation to a member.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Salyers Mullins; two daughters, Mallory Layne Mullins and Kara Leigh Mullins, both of Wise; two sisters, Teresa Short and Renee Sanders, both of Wise; a brother, Jerry Mullins of Norton; two nieces and two nephews; and two great-nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Carty Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Walter Simms will officiate. Burial will be in Smith-Gilliam Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Carty Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sams, of 2516 Bay St., Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, March 11, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Mary Farris Adair
GLADE SPRING -- Mrs. Mary Farris Adair, 88, died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in Valley Health Care in Chilhowie.
She was the widow of R.W. Farris and Thomas Bryan Adair. She was a member of Glade Community First Church of God.
Surviving are five sons, Elmer Farris and Joe Adair, both of Glade Spring, Moe Adair of Bristol Virginia, Curtis Adair of Kingsport and Harold Ruetschi Farris of Emory; three daughters, Anne Farris of Glade Spring, Freida Adair Harrington of Abingdon and Eleanor "Judy" Farris Velasco of Houston, Texas; a sister, Laura Gwynn of Danville; a brother, Otis Cumbow of Danville; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday in Farris Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gene Little will officiate. Burial will be in Elizabeth Cemetery in Saltville.
Mrs. Adair was an avid Gardner and an award-winning quilter.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Farris Honaker and Betty Farris Zavala.
Pallbearers will be Rob Crutchfield, Andrew Crutchfield, Herbert Honaker, Jesse Honaker, Tony Rector, Jerry Rhea, Rick Thomas and Justin Adair. Honorary pallbearers will be Gerald Norris, Ronnie Ratcliff, John Taylor, Steve Thompson and Elmer Farris.
Visitation was held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Farris Funeral Service.

POUND -- Stella Baker, 81, died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, at her home.

James O. Chapman
James Oscar "Jim" Chapman, 88, of 107 Melrose St., Bristol, Tenn., died Tuesday, March 14, 2000, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He lived all of his life in the Bristol area and attended Lynwood Bible Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a custodian.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Grace Chapman; three daughters, Charlie Mae Berry, Margaret Cunningham and Lucille Carver, all of Bristol Tennessee; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Weaver Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Benny Bowman and Bud Crusenberry will officiate. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great-grandsons and nephews James Berry and Bill Carter. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Cecil Collins Sr.

ABINGDON -- Graveside services for Effie South Clifton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Knollkreg Memorial Park.
Mrs. Clifton, 85, of 481 Bradley St. died Sunday, March 12, 2000, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.

NORTON -- Goldie Kern Dykes, 92, of the Roundtown section died Monday, March 13, 2000, in St. Mary's Hospital.
She was the widow of Ted R. Dykes.
Surviving are a son, Teddy Wayne Dykes of Tacoma, Va.; two daughters, Joy Kathleen Brickey of Yeoman, Ind., and Elizabeth S. Batton of Baltimore; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Guest River Pentecostal Church by Hagy Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell Bolling will officiate. Burial will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Dykes was also preceded in death by a son Rex Dykes; two sisters; and four brothers.

Winifred Hall
GREENUP, Ky. -- Winifred Hall, 74, of Collins Lane died Monday, March 13, 2000, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky.
She was born in Marion, a daughter of the late Harry E. and Pricie Gass Hall. She was a member of the House of Praise in Greenup.
Surviving are five sons, William Garred of Marion, Va., Joseph Garred, Freddie Garred and Eugene Garred, all of South Point, Ohio, and Allen Garred of Washington, D.C.; four daughters, Linda Garred, Clementine Garred and Cynthia Garred, all of Greenup, and Mrs. Charles (Alice)
Jones of Lexington; two sisters, Ann Jackson and Peggy Hayes Russell, both of Marion; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday in Greenup.
