MEADOWVIEW -- Clara Elizabeth Johnston, 63, died Monday, April 5, 1999, in Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va.

ABINGDON -- Merlin Carnell Jones, 67, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Abingdon.
She was a resident of Wichita Falls, Texas, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.
She was a member of the Joseph A. Kemp Order of the Eastern Star in Wichita Falls, and retired from the Civil Service at the Sheppard Air Force Base as a budget analyst. She was a member of the National Retired Federal Employees and the former owner of the Sleepwell Motel in Wichita Falls.
Mrs.
Jones was the widow of Loyd Wayne Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonia Kay McLean of Midlothian, Texas, and Terri Lea Coburn of Abingdon; a brother, Ernest Hall Jr. of Texarkana, Texas; a sister, Doris Rose Price of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Charles J. Killinger
MARION -- Charles James "Chuck" Killinger, 44, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at his home.
He loved fishing.
Survivors include a son, James Norbert Killinger of Tennessee; two sisters, Beatrice K. Feathers of Bluff City, and Sarah Killinger Kirby of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.

Fannie F. Livesay
Johnson CITY -- Fannie F. Livesay, 90, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, at her home.
She was a native of Blackwater, Va., and attended Pinecrest Baptist Church in
Johnson City, Tenn., for the past 20 years, where she was a member of the Homemakers Sunday School Class.
She was the widow of Loyd Livesay.
Survivors include a daughter, Vauneva Jennings of
Johnson City; five sons, Joseph M. Livesay of Blackwater, Va., William R. Livesay of
Johnson City, Lloyd D. Livesay and Larry W. Livesay, both of Blountville, and Ronald B. Livesay of Hendersonville, N.C.; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

James Howard Smith
James Howard Smith, 58, of 713 Ash St., Apartment 1, Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, April 3, 1999, in the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Center in Mountain Home, Tenn.
He was a native of Knoxville and had resided in Bristol for the past five years.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietname War and was the Commander of VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post No. 6975.
Mr.
Smith was a lifetime member of the Elks Club and the American Legion.
He was the widower of Sharon Smith.
Survivors include four daughters, Cary Daugherty, Carla Farmer and Jessica Smith, all of Bristol Tennessee, and Jamie
Smith of Knoxville; two sons, Aaron Drake of Bristol Tennessee, and Andrew Drake of LaFollette, Tenn.; his mother; three sisters; a brother; four grandsons; two granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Isaac F. Tolliver
BIG STONE GAP -- Isaac Floyd Tolliver, 68, died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap.
He was the widower of Zida Tolliver, and was employed with Hamer Lumber Company and B.A. Mullican for more than 45 years.
Survivors include two stepchildren, Walter Cook and Wilma VanWinkle, both of Big Stone Gap; four sisters, Sadie Ellison of Mullins, W.Va., Sylvia Billings of Mathney, W.Va., Frances Adkins of Key Rock, W.Va., and Mazie Church of Pineville, W.Va.; six brothers, Okey Tolliver, Alvis Tolliver and Raymond Tolliver, all of Pineville, W.Va., Jessee Tolliver of Mullins, W.Va., and Dale Tolliver and Bobby Goode, both of Illinois; two step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

LAUREL BLOOMERY, Tenn. -- Paul C. Widener, 64, of 155 Bertie Morefield Lane, died Sunday, April 4, 1999.
He was a native of
Johnson County, a U.S. Army veteran, a former employee of Burlington Industries and a farmer.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Widener; four brothers, Ray Widener of Laurel Bloomery, Willis Widener of Taylors Valley, Va., Wayne Widener and Blaine Widener, both of Baltimore; a sister, Imogene Brooks of Greenville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Earnie E. Adams
CHURCH HILL, Tenn. -- Earnie Eileen Adams, 76, of 119 Burlington Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at her home.
She was born in Clinchfield, Va., a daughter of the late Richard D. and Maude Colley, and lived in the Church Hill area for many years. She was of the Church of God faith and the widow of Walton F. Adams Sr.
Surviving are three sons, Harry Dean Adams of Radford, Va., Walton F. Adams Jr. of Clintwood and Richard Lee Adams of Church Hill; two sisters, Sue Woodward of Atlanta and Patty Barton of Council, Va.; a brother, Richard Colley of Honaker; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3 p.m. in East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.
Dr. Edgar Pierce will officiate.
Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Adams was also preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Colley; and an infant sister, Virginia Colley.
Among survivors are grandchildren Harry Dean Adams Jr., Anthony Wayne Adams, Amy Eileen Adams, Walter F. Adams III, Jason Andrew Adams, Stephania Y. Adams and Richard D. Adams; and great-grandchildren Kristopher Adams, Jonathan Adams, Jordan Adams, Sarah Adams, Richard L. Adams, Courtney D. Adams and Ashley Adams.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday in East Lawn Funeral Home.
Ralph G. Boehm
MARION -- Ralph George Boehm, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, in Indian Path Hospital in Kingsport.
He was a son of the late George and Doris Pansick Boehm.
After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radio technician in the Pacific Theater, he graduated with honors in economics from the University of Wisconsin.
He was employed with Consolidated Forwarding Co. as a terminal manager, supervisor of transportation with J.I. Case Co. and a traffic manager with Modine Manufacturing in Racine, Wis., before moving to Virginia in 1968.
He retired in 1992 as division manager with Donner Moulding.
He was chief de gare of 40/8, where he held both local and state offices.
He participated in both local and state levels of the American Legion and was adjutant of Post 18, where he served as commander and vice-commander. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, VFW,
Foster Parents Association, Smyth County Historical Society and several bridge clubs.
He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, a 4th degree knight and Father Iaken 1840 in Kingsport.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Dolores Igl Boehm; five sons, David Boehm of Marion, Stephen Boehm of Syracuse, Utah, James Boehm, Mark Boehm and Ralph Boehm, all of Atlanta; two daughters, Renee Boehm of Wytheville and Dr. Mary Rose Boehm of Charleston, W.Va.; and eight grandchildren.
A parish service will be conducted Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo, Wisc., where a Knights of Columbus rosary will be held at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.
Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo.
Among survivors are daughters-in-law Dottie Boehm of Marion, Barbara Boehm of Syracuse and Judy Boehm and Gay Boehm, both of Atlanta; grandchildren Christina, Jennifer, Aaron, Sarah, Kyrai, James and Joseph Boehm and Jacob Askren.
Mr. Boehm had been a foster father to more than 100 teenage girls in the past 30 years.
He was an accomplished violinist, enjoyed big band jazz and was an antique car lover. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren and was an active civic leader.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday in Seaver-
Brown Chapel and from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Bradley Funeral Home in Antigo.

William R. Campbell
William Ray "Bill" Campbell, 61, of Bristol Tennessee, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000.
He was a lifelong resident of Bristol and a son of the late Omer Ernest and Alta Helton Campbell.
He was a graduate of Bristol Tennessee High School and East Tennessee State University.
He was manager of the Bristol Virginia Transit System and owner of Tate's News and Campbell Tours.
He was a member of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Greer Campbell; a daughter, Angie Michelle Campbell of Bristol; a son, Will Campbell of Bristol; a sister, Betty Stevens of Wilmington, Del; a brother, Dr. O.J. Campbell of Wytheville; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 6 p.m. in Paul Cook Memorial Chapel of Oakley-Cook Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery.
Among survivors is a granddaughter, Lauren Nichole Thurston.
