BRADSHAW, W.Va. -- Mabel L. Rowe, 71, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in a Grundy hospital.
She was a native of Paynesville, W.Va., a homemaker, was affiliated with the Family Worship Center, Jolo, W.Va., and was the widow of the Rev. William T. Rowe Sr.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Jake (Joan) Nealen, Avondale, W.Va., Mrs. Dale (Linda) Davidson Whittenburg, Muncie, Ind., Mrs. Charles (Sharon) Rose, Jewell Valley, Va., and Mrs. Warren (Judy) Thomas, Bristol Virginia; a son, John R. Rowe, Bradshaw, W.Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Hershey, Baltimore, and Mrs. Carol Key, Bristol Virginia; five brothers, John R. Rowe, Vinton, Va., Lawrence Rowe and Lacy Love Jr., both of Bristol Virginia, Lonnie Rowe and Leslie Ray Love, both of Deel, Va.; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

James R. Stout
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. -- James Robert Stout, 72, formerly of 2902 Newton Street, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in NHC Health Care.
He was a native of Washington County, Tenn., where he had lived most of his life. He was a retired pipefitter employed out of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 538,
Johnson City. He had served as a Baptist minister.
Mr. Stout was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Adams Stout.
Survivors include two daughters, Joy Benson and Ruth Stout-Miller, both of
Johnson City; a sister; three grandchildren, Summer, Ryan and Casey, all of
Johnson City; and several nieces and nephews.

Ethel B. Umbarger
CHILHOWIE -- Ethel Burnette Umbarger, 80, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion.
She was a member of the Deer Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Umbarger, Chilhowie; two nieces, Monnie Sue McNew, Chilhowie, and Sandra Lynn Odum, Meadowview; and three great-nephews.

Eleanor S. Allen
COOKVILLE, Tenn. -- Eleanor Sutherland Allen, 69, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998, in Cookville.
She was a native of the Castlewood and St. Paul area, a retired ticket agent with Metro Washington, D.C., bus system and was the widow of Joe Allen.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Allen Jr., Alexander, Tenn., and George M. Allen, Sparta, Tenn.; a brother, C.J. Sutherland, Tazewell, Va.; a sister, Sharon Catlett, Richmond; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

CLINTWOOD -- Ida S. Baker, 98, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Dickenson County Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County, the widow of Fred P. Baker Sr. and was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, K.B. Baker, Clintwood; a daughter, Mrs.
Carter (Edith B.) Vanover, Clintwood; two brothers, Lawrence Stone and Roley Stone, both of Clintwood; three sisters, Cora Bentley, Jenkins, Ky., Nora Hughes and Jettie Baker, both of Clintwood; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

BLUFF CITY -- Nina Viola Baker, 87, of Cambridge House, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Russell County, had lived in the Bristol area for about 40 years and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She was the widow of Charles H. Baker and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda B. Ayers, Bluff City; a son, Charles Baker, Williamsburg, Va.; four sisters, Nora Duff, Bristol Virginia, Margaret Campbell, Lebanon, Rebecca Bevins, Baltimore, and Lola Brummett, Bristol Tennessee; and three grandchildren.

Minnie N. Bostwick
MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. -- Minnie Nash Bostwick, 56, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 1998, in
Carter County Hospital, in Morehead City.
She was a resident of Abingdon for 21 years before moving to Morehead City and was a graduate of Abingdon High School.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Bostwick and Mark Bostwick, both of Morehead City; three sisters, Betty Ruth Gobble, Joyce Harmon and Betty Morrison, all of Abingdon; three brothers, Robert Casey and Jackie Nash, both of Abingdon, and Tom Casey, Bristol Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday in Morehead City, N.C.

POUND -- Mazie Rebecca Branham, 89, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in St. Mary's Hospital, Norton.
She was a charter member of Hope Freewill Baptist Church and the widow of Emmitt Wayne Branham.
Survivors include four daughters, Leatrice Groves, Alexandria, Va., Sue Cox, Pound, Deborah Kay Robinson, Tuscon, Ariz., and Marcella Basham, Beckley, W.Va.; five sons, Harold W. Branham, Spotsyvania, Va., the Rev. Larry Branham, Pound, David W. Branham, Fredericksburg, Va., Joseph W. Branham, Tennessee, and Gregory J. Branham, Grey, Ky.; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Carter Street, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, at her home.
She was a native of Sullivan County and a member of Beidleman Presbyterian Church, Bristol, Tenn.
She was the widow of Hubert Chappell.
Survivors include a daughter, Julia A. Chappell, Bluff City; a son, Lawrence D. Chappell, Bluff City; a granddaughter, Mary Lee Cooper; and several nieces and nephews.

ABINGDON -- Connie Saltz Coleman, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Abingdon, was of the Pentecostal faith and a graduate of Abingdon High School, class of 1965.
Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Coleman; a son, James M. Widner, Abingdon; two daughters, Melissa Ann Asbury, Abingdon, and Shannon Dyhane Brown, Blountville; her mother, Margaret Saltz, Abingdon; three brothers, Richard Saltz and Timothy Saltz, both of Abingdon, and the Rev. Daniel Saltz, Chilhowie; two sisters, Donna Stanley, Bristol Virginia, and Sharon Phillips, Abingdon; and four grandsons.

ROANOKE -- Frances B. Cook, 95, died Monday, Nov. 30, 1998.
She was the widow of W. Albert Cook.
