POUND -- Howard Edwin Bolling, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in Roan Mountain, Tenn.
He was a member of Pound Presbyterian Church.
He worked for the Postal Service as a rural postal carrier for 30 years.
He was a member of Pound Masonic Lodge No. 59 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife, Eulene Stidham Bolling; a daughter, Margaret Lou Suess, Houston, Texas; three sons, Ron Boling, Lewiston, Idaho, Gary Bolling, Kingsport, and Bill Bolling, Elizabethton; three sisters, Clara B. Sheiler, Kingsport, Edith Bolling, Wise, and Pauline O'Palka, Georgetown, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

MARION -- Mary Shelton Fields, 74, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
She was the widow of Fred G. Fields.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Stoots, Marion, and Darlene Skeen, Lakeland, Fla.; three sons, Gene Fields, Georgia, Raymond Fields, Florida and Gordon Fields, Atkins, Va.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

EMORY, Va. -- Ms. Frances N. Foster, 61, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in National Health Care of Bristol.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

M. Curwood Garrett
M. Curwood Garrett, of 217 Sunnybrook Drive, Bristol, Tenn., died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998 in VA Medical Center.
He was a native of Monterey, Tenn., and had lived in Bristol since 1959. He was a member of the Virginia Avenue United Methodist Church, a graduate of Tennessee Tech, Cookeville, where during his senior year, he was named by the faculty to Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
He worked for several newspapers including editor of /{The Clinton Courier/}, /{The Shelbyville Times/}, /{The Rutherford Courier/}, Murfreesboro and /{The Knoxville Journal/}. He joined the staff of Bristol Newspapers in April of 1959 and retired after 21 years of service.
He served four years in the U.S. Army during World War II as a lieutenant.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Dunaway Garrett; and a cousin, Gaynol Looper, Monterey.

COEBURN -- Tommy Lewis Greene, 41, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center, Kingsport.
He was a lifelong resident of Dickenson County and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Jennifer Johnson, Coeburn; his mother, Delma Greene, Coeburn; two brothers, Buddy Greene and Jimmy Greene, both of Coeburn; two sisters, Phyllis Griffith, Luray, Va., and Cathy Neece, Coeburn; a goddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

VANSANT, Va. -- Mable Boyd Hagy, 75, of the Leemaster Section, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Buchanan County and been a member of Big Prater Baptist Church for 48 years.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Hagy; a daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Susan) Coleman, Glendale, W.Va.; four sons, Glenn Kiser, Harman, Va., Steve Hagy, Mike Hagy and McDonald Hagy, all of Vansant; four sisters, Fannie Pruitt, Harman, Josephine Hibbitts, Grundy, Avonell Boardwine, Vansant, and Lucy Thomas, Bradshaw, W.Va.; a brother, Kennard Boyd, Harman, 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

BLOUNTVILLE -- Judith Elizabeth Horn, 44, of 817 Buffalo Road, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Hytheville, Md., and had lived in Tazewell, Va., before moving to Sullivan County in 1977.
She attended Westhighlands Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Renee Bond, Elizabethton, and Jessica Horn, Bluff City; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brewster, Tazewell; and two grandchildren.

Milton J. Jaffe
MEADOWVIEW, Va. -- Milton Julian Jaffe, 67, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
He was a native of Pennsylvania and had lived in Petersburg, Va., for 20 years before moving to Washington County 21/2 years ago.
He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion, the VFW, TREA, NAUS and the Abingdon Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Louise Jaffe; a sister, Lietta Weiss, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; two nieces; and a nephew.

ROSEDALE, Va. -- Mrs. Ella Robinson Miller, 102, of Rosedale Estates, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in Lebanon.
She was a native of Russell County and had lived most of her life in Appomatox, Va., and Russell County.
She was a member of Elk Garden United Methodist Church, Elk Garden, Va.
She was the widow of Roy Daniel Miller Sr.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Vaughn Miller and Mildred Morris; one son-in-law, Bill Howard; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
