ABINGDON -- Regina Lyons Logue, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Pittsburgh and had lived in Abingdon for over two years.
She was the widow of Edward J. Logue.
Survivors include two daughters, Marion Logue Dobbins, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Regina Logue Sandridge, St. Paul; two sisters, Marion Prestia, Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Evelyn Avampato, Pittsburgh; a brother, John Lyons, Pittsburgh; a sister-in-law; and four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary E. McAllister
SALTVILLE -- Mary Eddie "Granny" McAllister, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was retired from Superior Mills, Chilhowie, and was a member of the Ladies Society of Mt. Pleasant Union Church.
She was the widow of Bill McAllister.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy McAllister, Mobile, Ala., and Lowell McAllister, Saltville; two daughters, Mildred Olinger, Marion, and Rita Davidson, Saltville; a brother, Tommy Keesee, Hendersonville, Tenn.; a sister, Hattie Gouge, Jonesborough, Tenn.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Hazel M. McConnell
DAMASCUS -- Hazel M. McConnell, 77, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, in Cedar Lawn Convalescent Home, Abingdon.
She was a native of Hickory, N.C., had lived in Damascus most of her life and was a member of the Damascus United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of Wayne Garrett McConnell.
Survivors include a daughter, Vicki M. Gentry, Damascus; two sisters, Mary Hoover, Charlotte, N.C., and Betty Jo Huffman, Hickory, N.C.; two grandsons, Robbie Wayne Vannoy and David Nelson Vannoy, both of Damascus; and several nieces and nephews.

Roger L. Micheal
SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Dr. Roger Lynn Micheal, 58, of 1205 Henry Road, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, at his home.
He was a native of Ashland, W.Va., received a bachelor of science from Concord College in 1962, a master of music degree from West Virginia University in 1963, and received a doctor of musical arts from West Virginia University in 1970. He received a doctor of medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1978. He completed three years of an obstetric and gynecology residence at Charleston Area Medical Center from 1978 to 1980, and was licensed in West Virginia in 1979. He practiced in the Charleston community until 1996. He was Director of Boone County Primary Care Clinic.
Survivors include his wife, Christel Roggenthien Micheal; two sons, Stefan Gregory Micheal, Christiansburg, Va., and Bryan Patrick Micheal, Charleston, W.Va.; his parents, James David and Virginia Culbertson Micheal, Princeton, W.Va.; and a brother, Charles Edward Micheal, Arlington, Texas.
Graveside services will be held Friday in Princeton, W.Va.

Pauline G. Morton, 89, of Bristol Nursing Home, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

DAMASCUS -- Bertha Hyskel Phillips, 95, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, in Bristol Nursing Home.
She was a native and lived most of her life in Washington County. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Laura Ruth Roe, Damascus, Mrs. Bessie E. Roberts, Roanoke, and Mrs. Bonnie L. Boyle, New Port Richey, Fla.; two sons, Howard Vaughan, Pineville, Pa., and Wallace Vaughan, Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Neal Trinkle
Charles "Neal" Trinkle, 64, of 100 Cedar Brook Circle, Bristol, Tenn., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He was retired after 31 years of service as a special agent, LUTCF, with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. He was a member and past Sunday School Superintendent of Addilynn Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the American Angus Association and was past president of the East Tennessee Angus Association. He was a charter member and served on the Board of Directors of the Avoca Fire Department. He was treasurer of the Ordway Cemetery Association and a charter member of the Diplomat Club.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Barker Trinkle; two daughters, Deborah T. Flick, Bristol Tennessee, and Kimberly T. Brown, Clayton, N.C.; and a grandson, Benjamin S. Flick, Bristol Tennessee.

CASTLEWOOD -- Kate Austin, 92, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in Lonesome Pine Hospital, Big Stone Gap.
She was a native of Wise County and the widow of Flem Austin.
Survivors include four daughters, Lois Stallard, Lebanon, Cammie Hylton, Mildred Helbert and Wilma Meade, all of St. Paul; a son, Alfred Austin, St. Paul; two sisters, Nora Salyers, Pineville, W.Va., and Minnie Austin, St. Paul; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Paul E. Buchanan
KINGSPORT -- Paul Edward Buchanan, 77, of 76 Crown Circle, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in Indian Path Hospital.
He was a native of Smyth County and had resided in Kingsport since 1935. He was a graduate of Holston Institute and attended the University of Tennessee.
Mr. Buchanan was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, and retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserves, obtaining the rank of major.
He retired from Holston Defense Corporation, where he was employed in the instrument shop and instrument engineering. He was a member and officer of Instrument Society of America, a member of Kingsport Masonic Lodge No. 688 F&AM, the Jerico Shrine, and Bloomingdale Ruritan Club.
He was member of First Christian Church and was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Price Buchanan.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel Buchanan; two sons, Ed Buchanan, Woodridge, Va., and Tom Buchanan, Piney Flats; two stepdaughters, Debra Jones, Bristol Tennessee and Jinger Ellis, Kingsport; a sister, Hope Spivey, Troy, Ala.; a grandson; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Lucille J. Campbell
MEADOWVIEW -- Lucille J. Campbell, 72, of Rolling Hills Adult Home, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was a lifelong resident of Washington County, Va., and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Rutherford, Bristol Virginia, and Charles Rutherford, Sulphur, La.; a sister, Charmie Hamilton, Big Stone Gap; and four grandchildren.

HURLEY -- Linnie Jane Shortridge Davis, 90, of the left hand fork of Lester's Fork, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1998, in Buchanan General Hospital.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Buchanan County, a member of Home Creek Old Regular Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She was the widow of Clarence Davis.
Survivors include a sister, Virginia Lee Shortridge, Grundy; a niece; and four nephews.
