She was a native of Allentown, Pa., and had spent most of her life in the Bristol area.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donna J. Reed, New Mexico; four sons, David Allen Hensley Jr., Bristol Virginia, Donald Mason Hensley, Greensboro, N.C., Dennis Lee Hensley, Rocky Mountain, N.C., and Daniel Allen Hensley, Akron, Ohio; her mother, Mary J. Taillon, Bristol Virginia; a sister, Willie Harless, Bristol Virginia; two brothers, Frank Painter, Bristol Virginia, and Robert Painter, Ocala, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

MARION, N.C. -- Ruth Davis Hess, 78, formerly of Bristol Tennessee, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, in Marion, N.C.
She had lived in Jacksonville, Fla., for the past 35 years and was a charter member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Hess Trice, Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, Gus A. Hess Jr., Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. George "Billie" Scott, Marion, N.C., and Mrs. Carl (Mary Jane) Mumpower, Bristol Tennessee; a brother, Joe H. Davis, Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

GLADE SPRING -- Pearl Marie Killen, 58, of 568 Sycamore St., died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in Cedar Lawn Convalescent Home, Abingdon.
She was a native of Council, Va., and had lived in Manassas, Va., before moving to Glade Spring one year ago. She was a member of the Tiller Baptist Church, in Council.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Killen; two daughters, Kelly Elaine Reynolds, Norfolk, and Brenda Atkins, Wise; a son, Randy Crabill, Manassas, Va.; four sisters, Mary Franzello, Manassas, Va., Linda McCormick, Pat Blackburn and Sheb Griffits, all of Utica, Ohio; five brothers, Robert Frederick Jr., Folkston, Ga., Joseph Frederick, Front Royal, Va., Philip Frederick, Catlett, Va., Steve Frederick, Manassas, Va., and Jim Owens, Utica, Ohio; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

GRAY, Tenn. -- Nora Lee Byington King, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in
Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Russell County and had lived in Gray since 1968. She was of the Methodist faith.
She was the widow of Calvin King.
Survivors include two daughters, Frances K. Morrell, Bluff City, and Faye E. Dempsey,
Johnson City; a son, Arvil Lee "A.L." King, Kingsport; two sisters, Sally Kate Porter, Weber City, and Carmen Byington, Castlewood; eight grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Smith Jr., Newport News; two sisters, Beulah McGhee and Lorean Lyttle, both of Bristol Virginia; a brother, Porter Marsh, Bristol Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

RURAL RETREAT, Va. -- Charles Woolen "Willie" Repass, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tenn.
He was an active member of the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church.

Maggie E. Rosenbalm, 83, of Bristol Nursing Home, Bristol Virginia, died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Bristol Virginia and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four nephews, Walter Jack Leonard, Billy Wayne Leonard and James Gary Leonard, all of Bristol Virginia, and John David Leonard, Bristol Tennessee.

UMATILLA, Fla. -- Franklin Beaston Smick, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, in the Waterman Hospital, in Eustis, Fla.
He was a native of Canton, N.J., had resided in Florida for the past 22 years, moving there from New Jersey.
He was a member of the Bay Street Baptist Church, where he was active in the youth groups, and an active member of the Moody Alumni Association.
He was a stationary engineer for Mannington Mills in New Jersey.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Barrett Smick; two stepsons, Clifton B. Knox, Roanoke, and Robert P. Knox, Florence, N.J.; eight step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
