CASTLEWOOD -- Elzema Lambert, 84, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon.
She was a native of Russell County, the widow of Homer Lambert and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include five daughters, Magalene Hale, Castlewood, Shirley Trent, Lebanon, Phyllis Kilgore, Nickelsville, Judy Lunsford, Summerfield, N.C., and Levonda Freeman, Kingsport; two sons, Robert Lambert and Blaine Lambert, both of Castlewood; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

SALTVILLE -- Helen E. "Sally" Maiden, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at her home.
She was the widow of Ralph Maiden Sr., a member of the Church of New Beginnings, and a devoted local artist displaying in the Hungry Mother Arts Festival, the Saltville Labor Day Celebration and other area events.
Survivors include two sons, Gale W. Maiden, Meadowview, and Ralph "Bad Boy" Maiden Jr., Winston-Salem, N.C.; a daughter, Debbie Maiden Warren, Dobson, N.C.; three brothers, Russell Ward, Saltville, Louis Ward, Chilhowie, and Avie Ward, Abingdon; two sisters, Patty Ward, Saltville, and Beulah Harris, Newport, Del.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

BLUFF CITY -- Shirley Moseley, 62, of 101 Charlton Court, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at her home.
She was a native of Norton, had made her home in Bluff City for the past seven years and was a member of the North Bristol Baptist Church.
She retired from the Selective Service Board with 26 years of service, was employed with the Mine Health and Safety Administration, First Commonwealth Bank, in Wise, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Moseley; a daughter, Vera Vandeventer, Bristol Tennessee; a son, Mark E. Sturgill, Lexington, Ky.; a sister, Lorraine Duff, Fountain Inn, S.C.; and six grandchildren.

RICHMOND -- Sayra Margaret Owens, 46, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998.
She was a native of Bristol Virginia, a graduate of John Battle High School and had lived in Richmond for 25 years. She was employed by RLA Property Management as assistant manager.
Survivors include a son, John S. Nickens III; a daughter and adopted sister, Melissa Love, Abingdon; four brothers, James Owens, Richmond, Danny Owens, Blountville, Richard Owens, Brighton, Mich., and Roger Owens, Lebanon; five sisters, Shan Mumpower, Harriet McMurray, Kay Wright and Jane O'Dell, all of Bristol Virginia, and Janet Owens, Bristol Tennessee; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Richmond with interment in Sunset Memorial Park.

C. Wayne Rose, 48, of 213 Beaver St., Bristol, Va., died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at his home.
He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area and was a nurse at the Asbury Center.
Survivors include two children, Stacey and Justin Rose; his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Haskell Sanders, Bristol Virginia; a sister, Carolyn Widner, Abingdon; a brother, Bob Rose, Bristol Tennessee; five nephews; and a niece.

Cody F. Williams, 90, of 348 Bristol Caverns Highway, Bristol, Tenn., died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, in Bristol Nursing Home.
He was a native of Sullivan County, a retired carpenter and was preceded in death by his wife, Hattie Mae Williams.

OAKWOOD, Va. -- Terry Keith Wright, 37, of the Garden Creek section of Buchanan County, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at his home.
He was a native of Tazewell County, Va., attended the Oakwood Full Gospel Church and was a 1981 graduate of Garden High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Jessica LyAnn Wright, Elizabethton, Tenn.; his parents, Chester Wright and Lois Matney Wright, Oakwood; three brothers, Michael C. Wright, Shortt Gap, Va., Rickie C. COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Myrtle Gilbert Buskell, 84, formerly of Richlands, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, in a Columbia hospital.
She was a native of Whitewood, Va., had made her home in the Richlands area most of her life, prior to moving to Missouri two years ago, and was a housewife.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, in Richlands, and the widow of C. Bandy Buskell.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Rebecca Buskell) Kelley, Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Kathleen Gilbert Mulkey, Richlands; and two grandsons, Christian Kelley and Kevin Kelley.

She was a native of Buchanan County and a member of the Russell Prater Old Regular Baptist Church.

DEEL, Va. -- Howard William Fuller, 56, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 1998, in Buchanan General Hospital, Grundy.
He was a native of Drill, Va., had resided in Deel for the past four and one half years, moving from Honaker.
He was a former employee of the Island Creek Coal Company, at the Beatrice Pocahontas Mine and a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 2166. He was of the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Lovella Fuller.
