Ruby P. Aguire
Ruby Palmer Aguire, 68, of 105 Elmwood Court, Martinsville, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
She was born on Feb. 21, 1934, in Hurt in Pittsylvania County, a daughter of the late Willie Palmer and the late Rena Brooks Palmer.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Margaret P. Clay, and two brothers, Tom and John Palmer.
Aguire was of the Holiness faith, and she had worked for Stone & Company for 10 years.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia White of Axton and Diana Holt of Stuart; one sister, Julia P. Thompson of Martinsville; three brothers, Ernest Palmer of Martinsville, Alvin Palmer of Ridgeway and Willie Palmer Jr. of Martinsville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Her body was donated to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center for medical research.
The family is presently receiving friends at the home of her sister, Julia Thompson, 1042 Graves St., Martinsville.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Norris Funeral Services.
Following visitation, a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. in the Norris Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Wood presiding.

Brad D. Bullins
Bradley "Brad" David Bullins, 36, of 851 Chandlers Mill Road, Pelham, N.C., died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
He was born in Martinsville on June 18, 1966.
He had lived most of his life in the Ringgold and Pelham areas and was a heavy equipment operator for Doggett Construction in Greensboro prior to becoming ill.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney Jason Bullins; paternal grandfather, Johnny Bullins; and maternal grandparents, Mae Cannaday McGuire and Clifton "Mac" McGuire.
He attended Danville Christian School and graduated from Dan River High School, where in 1983 he started the school golf team and became the school's first golfer to qualify for regionals.
He was a member of The Tabernacle and also attended Westover Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rita "Flossie" Martin Bullins of the home; his parents, David Jason Bullins and Connie McGuire Bullins of Ringgold; one sister, Allyson B. Springs of Ringgold; his paternal grandmother, Sharline Bullins Joyce Martin of Bassett; three nieces; one nephew; and other relatives including several in Bassett and Martinsville.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Tabernacle with the Revs. Lamarr Mooneyham and Doug Barker officiating.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at The Tabernacle from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
At other times friends may call at the home, 851 Chandlers Mill Road, Pelham, and also at the home of his parents, 1488 Ringgold Road.

Robert S. Callahan
Robert Swanson Callahan, 77, of 300 Kings Way Road, Martinsville, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at King's Grant.
He was born April 26, 1925, in Henry County, the son of Claude Swanson Callahan and Madie Davis Callahan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan C. Whitlow; and a brother, Loman R. Callahan.
He served with the Merchant Marines during World War II, and worked for DuPont until retiring with 37 years of service.
Callahan was a Master Mason in Piedmont Masonic Lodge No. 152, a member of Elks Home BPEO Lodge No. 1752, and a Shriner.
Surviving are three daughters, Beth C. Callahan of Lillington, N.C., C. Marlene Callahan Smith of Richmond and Victoria L. Cates of Eden, N.C.; one brother, Elbridge Callahan of Bridgewater; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at King's Grant Victory Chapel with Dr. Clint Hopkins presiding.

Claude V. Camden
The funeral for Dr. Claude Victor Camden, 79, of 1606 Mulberry Road, Martinsville, who died Feb. 4, 2003, was held Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Martinsville with the Revs. Ron Mateer and Ferd Wagner officiating.
Entombment was in the Roselawn Mausoleum.
Pallbearers were Dr. Dan Camden, John Redd Smith, Lester Finney, Gene Medley, Al Beard, Irving Groves, Chester Lane and Glen Edwards.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Smith Hamilton Sunday school class of First United Methodist Church of Martinsville.
Arrangements were by Norris Funeral Services and Crematory.
Harvey R. Clark
The funeral for Harvey Robert Clark, 86, of 995 Summit Road, Martinsville, who died Feb. 1, 2003, was held Thursday at Shiloh Way of the Cross Church with Bishop Earley Dillard officiating.
Burial was in Carver Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were ushers of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church.
Hairston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Angela Dawn Ferguson
A private service will be held for Angela Dawn Ferguson, infant daughter of Robert and Angela Ferguson of Bassett, who died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her sisters, Lisa Ann Ferguson and Tiffany Sue Ferguson of Bassett; paternal grandparents Ronald Ferguson Sr. and Edith Ferguson of Bassett; maternal grandparents Alfred Pennington and Kathy Pennington of Fieldale; and several aunts and uncles.
Bassett Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.
David E. Foster
MAINE -- David E. Foster, 64, of 55 Pine St., Dixfield, and formerly of Martinsville, Va., died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Rumford Community Hospital, Rumford.
He was born in Rumford on March 24, 1938, a son of the late Jasper M. Foster and the late Genevieve W. Foster.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Mitchell Foster of the home; six sons, David E. Foster Jr. of Orange Park, Fla., Scott M. Foster of Murietta, Calif., Steven M. Foster of Tucson, Ariz., Bryan D. Foster of Altavista, Va., Thomas Foster of Rumford and James Foster of Dixfield; one daughter, Michelle Foster of Jacksonville, Fla.; two brothers, W. Timothy Foster of Morris Plains, N.J., and Joel Foster of Dixfield; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday in Rumford.

Zannie W. Freeman
The funeral for Zannie Williams Freeman, 89, of 32 Golf Course Road, Stuart, who died Feb. 3, 2003, was held Thursday at Howell Funeral Home with Minister Mark Wright and Elder Paul Clark officiating.
Burial was in Patrick Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were McCrae Williams, Justin Freeman, Larry Freeman Jr., John Shropshire, Joey Campbell, Bernard Mabe and Keith Martin.
Minnie H. Fuller
The funeral for Minnie Hodge Fuller, 88, of Martinsville, who died Feb. 1, 2003, was held Thursday at Hairston Funeral Home with the Rev. Rorer Morrison officiating.
Burial was in Carver Memorial Gardens.
In addition to those previously listed, she is survived by a daughter, Gladys Moore of Martinsville.
