The funeral service will take place 10.15 a.m. on Thursday, March 22 at Darlington Crematorium. Friends welcome, please meet at the crematorium. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if so desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Society (plate at the crematorium).

JOHNSON - Ronald John (Ron), aged 79 years, suddenly at home in Hudswell on March 11. Dearly loved husband of Val, much loved dad of Nicholas and Ruth and a loving grandad of Calum, Ellie and Daniel. Funeral service at St. Michael and All Angels Church, Hudswell on Monday, March 19 at 1.15 p.m., followed by cremation at Darlington. Family flowers only please, if desired donations may be given for Church Funds.

JOHNSON - March 8, of 6 Town Head, Hawes. Louisa May (Mary), beloved wife of the late Edwin, a much loved mother of Thelma and Margaret and mother-in-law of Charles and Derek, also a dear grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral service at Hawes Church, Wednesday, March 14 at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only. Donations if desired for Hawes Church.

JOHNSTON - Freda, aged 91 years, of Stanley Park, Stanley, formerly of Darlington, a loving and much loved mother of Austin, a dear wife of the late Joseph Robert (Johnny). Funeral Eucharist celebrating the Resurrection and in thanksgiving for the life of Freda in St. Andrew's Church, Stanley on Thursday, March 15 at 12.30 p.m., to be followed by private cremation at Sunder-land. No cards or letters please. Donations in lieu of flowers, to The Alzheimer's Society, South Approach, Bullion Lane, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham, DH2 2DW.

JONES - George, of Thornton-le-Dale passed away peacefully on March 11, aged 87 years, beloved husband of Blanch and a much loved father and grandfather. Funeral service at St George's Church, Wilton on Friday, March 16 at 12.30 p.m., followed by interment at Thornton-le-Dale Cemetery. Family flowers only please but donations if desired may be given to Wilton Church and Scarborough Hospital. A plate will be provided at the service.

JOPLING - Peacefully on Monday March 12, at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. William (Bill), aged 92 years, of The Crescent, Kirkby Stephen. Dearly loved husband of the late Mary Edna. Dear dad of Joyce and Alan, a much loved father-in-law of Alan and Elizabeth, a sadly missed grandad of Hazel, Jason and Glenys and great-grandad to Leo. Funeral service at Kirkby Stephen Methodist Church on Tuesday March 20, at 12.00 noon, followed by interment in Kirkby Stephen Cemetery. Flowers or donations will be welcome, donations if desired will be divided between Christian Head Residential Home and Upper Eden Medical Practice c/o, Glyn Jones Funeral Director, 12 Battlebarrow, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria. KEAL - Evelyn Mary, aged 86 years, passed away peacefully on March 13, after a long illness, in Barrington Lodge Care Home, formerly of Hollowdene, Crook. Beloved wife of the late Jack, also a dear aunt. Would friends please meet for service at St. Catherine's Church, Crook on Wednesday, March 21 at 9.00 a.m., followed by interment at Crook Cemetery.

LEVINGTON - On March 12, suddenly, at home, of Station Town, Wingate, formerly of Chester-le-Street. Alan, aged 63 years, a much loved husband of Jean, a devoted dad of Alexander, Martin, Daniel and Rachael and a beloved grandad of Karl, Josh and Emilie. Will be sadly missed by Suzie and all who knew him. Would friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday, March 20 at 2.00 p.m. for service.

LOWE - March 13, suddenly at home, in Hunwick. Christine (nee Nicholson), aged 54 years, formerly of Bishop Auckland and Shildon. Much loved mam of Andrew and Christopher, a loving nana, treasured daughter of Arnold and Audrey, also dear sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Will friends please meet for service in Durham Crematorium at 1.00 p.m. on Monday, March 19. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu may be left at the crematorium for the N.S.P.C.C.

MALTHOUSE - Bryan On March 8, 2007 peacefully in Bournemouth Hospital, aged 74 years, late of Greenside, a much loved husband of Heather, a loving dad to Julie and Peter and a greatly missed grandad. Eric, aged 79 years, beloved husband of the late Cora (nee Bateman), loving father of Kenneth, Elaine, John, Shane, Myrtle, Michelle, Margaret, Phillip and Doreen, a dear father-in-law, much loved granda and great-granda, also dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Cortege to leave his son's residence, 37 Central Avenue, St. Helens at 10.05 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, for service in St. Helen's Church at 10.15 a.m., followed by interment in Witton Park Cemetery. Will friends please meet at church. After the service all are welcome to refreshment in the Parish Centre in St. Helens.

MORLAND - Peacefully on March 15, after a short illness of Chester-le-Street, (formerly of Coronation). Cecilie Ann (nee Newell), aged 61 years. Loving mam of Carl and Samantha, dearest sister of Gail and a devoted nan, also a much loved mother-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt. Cremation Wednesday March 21, at Darlington following a service in the crematorium chapel at 2.15 p.m. Friends please meet at the crematorium. Family and friends are welcome back at Shildon Civic after the service.

MORRISON - March 8, 2007, suddenly at home. Dennis, aged 67 years, of Dans Castle, Tow Law, a beloved dad and grandad. Will be sadly missed by family and friends. Funeral Tuesday, March 20.
