BORROWS - March 17. Baby Grace. We had such a short time to get to know you Grace yet you made a huge impact on our lives. Your infectious smile and big blue eyes would brighten up any room and your incredible resilience made us ashamed of our own petty gripes. We were so proud to be your God Parents. Dearly loved wife of Ronnie, dear daughter of Ann, loving mother of Dale and Tracey, a much loved nana to Abbey, Adam, Holly and Lauren and sister of Angela. Friends please meet for service and cremation at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday March 27, at 1.00 p.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu may be given after the service for the Chemotherapy Day Unit. Friends welcome for refreshments at Mount Oswald Manor afterwards.

BROWN - March 15, (peacefully, at home). Mary (Polly), aged 96 years. Beloved wife of the late William and a loving mum of Sheila. Friends please meet for service at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday March 27, at 10.30 a.m. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if so desired to, The MacMillan Nurses. Plate provided at the crematorium.

Mabel, aged 75 years, of Gainford, beloved wife of Norman, much loved mother of Gordon, Alan, David and Peter, mother-in-law of Jean, Debbie and Gillian, adored nana of Rhona, Gemma, Danni, Peter, Thomas, Joshua and Naomi, also a dear sister and aunt. Funeral Thursday, March 29. Would friends please meet for service in St. Mary's Church, Gainford at 2.15 p.m., prior to cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Intensive Therapy Unit, Darlington Memorial Hospital c/o Seaton Leng and Son Ltd., Bondgate, Darlington DL3 7JR.

BURLEY - March 19, peacefully, of Harrison Terrace, Darlington. Alison (Ali), aged 41 years, loving and devoted mother of Daniel and Sarah, dearly loved daughter of Bill and Terry Dodd, much loved sister of Gill and Richard and Sue and Simon and will be sadly missed by Mark, Eileen and Phil. Funeral Monday March 26. Friends please meet for a Memorial Service in Cockerton Methodist Church at 3.15 p.m. No flowers please. Donations may be left in Church for Breast Cancer Care and St. Teresa's Hospice. By Alison's request, no Black clothing please.

CAIRNS - Gladys March 18, (peacefully, in hospital), aged 75 years, of Craven Cottages, Station Town, Wingate. A much loved cousin and a very dear friend. Cortege to leave residence on Thursday for service at Holy Trinity Church, Wingate at 9.30 a.m. prior to cremation at Durham Cremator ium. All friends are kindly invited please meet at the church.

CASTLEDINE - Rita Marjorie (nee Calderbank), aged 63 years, died peacefully at the University Hospital of North Durham on March 20. Dearly loved mother of Jane and devoted grandmother to Stephen and Jack. Sadly missed by all. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Shincliffe on Wednesday, March 28 at 2.15 p.m., followed by cremation at South Road Crematorium. No flowers by request. Donations in lieu to Cancer Research U.K. c/o Stuart Wright Funeral Service Ltd., 23 Marshall Terrace, Gilesgate, Durham.

CHAPMAN - March 22 (in Sedgefield Community Hospital), of Ferryhill, formerly of Mainsforth Close. Ann, aged 74 years, devoted wife of George, loving mam of Chris and Sue, a dear mother-in-law of Barbara and Ronnie, also a devoted nana and great-nana. Friends please meet for Requiem Mass at All Saints' R.C. Church, Ferryhill on Wednesday, March 28 at 2.00 p.m., followed by interment in Chilton Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu if so desired to the Motor Neurone Society c/o the family.

CLARKE - March 19, in hospital, of Balmoral Road, Darlington. Stephen (Stav), of Clarke's Roofing, aged 49 years, cherished father of Lisa and Lee, beloved son of Terry and Olive, dearly loved brother of Pauline, Alan and Terry, brother-in-law of Eddie, Joan and Michelle, also a much loved partner of Maryanne. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral Wednesday March 28. Friends please meet for service in St. Andrew's Church, Haughton at 11.00 a.m., followed by cremation.

COLES - March 15, suddenly at home, of Shafto House, Whitworth. Jeremy, aged 74 years, beloved husband of Anne, much loved father and grandfather. Funeral Monday, March 26. Would friends please meet at 1.00 p.m. for service in Whitworth Church, followed by cremation at Durham.

COLLINS - (nee Harvey) March 20, peacefully, at home. Maud, aged 97 years of Newton Aycliffe, formerly of Wingate, a dearly loved wife of the late Ralph, mother of Ralph, Hannah, Sheila, Rita and the late Jean, a much loved grandma and great-grandma. Funeral Wednesday, March 28. Would family and friends please meet 11.00 a.m. for service at Durham Crematorium.

Stan, aged 77 years, dearly loved husband of Betty, dear father of Anne, Stan and Terry, father-in-law of Gill and Allison and a beloved grandad of Christopher, Andrew, Paul, Lee and Nicola. DAVISON - Harry on March 13, formerly of Shildon, died peacefully in hospital in Ireland. Funeral held March 20. Husband of the late Joan, father, grandfather, great-grand father, father-in-law, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Remembered by all.

DAWSON - March 18 (peacefully, in hospital), late of Framwellgate Moor. William (Bill), aged 95 years. Much loved husband of the late Dorothy, will be sadly missed by all the family. Friends please meet at Durham Crematorium on Tuesday March 27, at 11.00 a.m. for service and cremation.

DOBSON - Jean Annie Passed away peacefully on March 17, 2007 at the QMC, Nottingham. Will be very sadly missed by husband Roy and daughters' Penelope and Jane, son William and grandchildren. DUNN - Phylis Mary (nee Thurston) aged 91 years, peacefully, at home in Richmond on March 18 (formerly of Sadberge). Eldest daughter of Walter and Sarah Thurston, dearly loved wife of Walter, much loved mam of Pat, loving grandma of Terry (South Africa) and a dear sister. Funeral service at St. Mary's Church, Richmond on Monday, March 26 at 2.00 p.m., followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, for Church Funds.

EDWARDS - Gladys A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 11.30 a.m. at Bainbridge Chapel. All friends welcome, refreshments afterwards. The scattering of the ashes will take place later in the afternoon.

EMMETT - March 22, peacefully in hospital. Sheila, dearly loved wife of Alan. Funeral arrangements to follow.
